I am going to give this Italian neighbourhood restaurant 5 stars, and here's why. First thing, full disclosure. I have visited this place many times over a period of a few years. It gets 5 stars because the food is consistently of good quality and delicious. My rating reflects combined experience over a period of time. When a restaurant delivers time and time again like this, you know they are doing something right. And my impression is that it attracts a steady crowd of visitors. One thing I would say though is that a couple (but by no means all) of the staff could, to a new visitor, come across as a little bit surly. I can see how, if it's your first time dining here, you might see that as a bit off-putting. But all I can say is push through, you'll (hopefully) love the food, and will want to come back. I kept coming back and will continue to do so in future.

It's a little more expensive than many Italian restaurants, but I think the extra cash is well spent. The food was interesting and tasty - I was left reading the menu to work out what I thought was best rather than searching for the one interesting option as so often happens at chains. This is a great authentic Italian restaurant with great pizza as well as home cooked foods and a great selection of wines, good beers and drink assortment. I had many meals over the years, including with Italian foodies who loved it, and they deliver every time. Highly recommended! The pizza arrived in 12 minutes tonight! I think the Sarracino's experience was great. This little Italian restaurant is quite hidden and not in the main road of West Hampstead, but the food is great and I recommend you the pizza! Well cooked, extremely tasty and really rich in the use of ingredients as you can see from my pictures. Really recommended!

Quite busy Italian restorant in the area. Opted for a classic - pizza (4 cheese). It was good, yet not one of the bests. The personal is very helpful, prices are matching the quality.

Love it. Good variety. If I’m feeling down I order the scamorza and some other things for home delivery. There is frequently a number of Italian customers and an Italian friend assured me that it is very authentic and one of the few Italian places that her brother will visit. Great for large family get together (remember when we could eat with tables of 10+?) I also enjoy dates there, but the tables are sometimes too close.

When I want a take away pizza I always order from Sarracino. I tried all the pizzeria in the area and for TAKE AWAY, Sarracino has never disappointed me. Amazing pizza and very honest people. I dropped money on my way out and the gentleman by the cash desk run to catch me on the street to give me the money . The restaurant was empty was it was early afternoon. He could have just kept the money . I am a customer for life now :)

Best Italian in West Hampstead. Since Covid-19 they have been on Deliveroo which has been such a nice treat when I wanted a proper pizza. Im looking forward to when they can open back up the restaurant. Their Seafood pasta dishes are always amazing.

Excellent quality pizzas, and a menu full of variety and appetising options. The food is robust and straightforward, with decent portions. Dishes are flavoursome and well-seasoned, my favourites being the baked smoked aubergine with cherry tomatoes (large starter, and divine!), the white pizza with mushrooms and truffle, and the platter of four different grilled fish fillets, with which I order sauteed potatoes. My favourite location for Italian food in West Hampstead.

As a lover of pizza, I have to say I was disappointed by my Sarracino's pizza last night. I ordered the half meter on Just Eat, which arrived 15 minutes prior to my set time - and in this case that isn't good since I was still giving my baby a bath. Nonetheless, I quickly finished and had a slice while it was relatively warm. To me the dough felt under-baked and slightly soggy - not the thin italian pizza I had expected. The toppings were nice, but nothing to write home about. In general the pizza lacked flavor and that extra something. The most unreasonable part was the price. £23 or so plus delivery for a half meter pizza that may fill 2-3 people just isn't a great value. There are plenty of places with better pizza for less price in the area, I'd suggest skipping Sarracino.

I'm not one to write reviews but felt I had to after a really lovely first experience at Sarracino's last night. Ignore the other online reviews regarding poor service as the food, atmosphere and service was excellent. Nice wine, authentic Italian ingredients, homemade pizza & pasta and very attentive service. What more could you want from an Italian which is very reasonable priced. Would definitely return.

Found Sarracino through a search on my phone and the reviews didn't let me down! The spot was charming - Italian waiters who were really sweet and friendly, and cute decor. We had the gnocchi and one of the pizza specials with aubergine and pine nuts which was ace. Nice little place.

Good Italian staple in West Hampstead - a solid menu and good wine list. Restaurant was full on a weeknight - generally a good sign - and all the dishes were fairly good. However, service was substandard, alternating between the fairly pushy style of the owner, and a lack of attention from his staff. Small annoyances (not topping up water, second fork missing from shared dessert, rejecting a card that required a signature), but generally a pleasant night.

We are clients for 5 years now and moved back to France. First time we came back to London after moving, we have to stop by Sarracino : hudband and son love the pizza that are great (specially Calzone) and I love the pastas!!!

It is the best pizza in the area, however its customer service has been very poor in 2015. On one occasion they sent the wrong pizza, but my major problem is with some of the delivery drivers. I've had them refuse to come up to my 3rd floor apartment door whilst other have taken too much money from me and I've had to call the manager to have them return what the driver explained was a £22 tip (order was only £18!). I've tried other pizzeria's but to be honest they aren't near as good.

Sarracino is a good Italian restaurant in West Hampstead. I recently went there for a pizza and had a "white" quattro formaggi. Delicious and quite big. The recently changed house white was also not bad. I just found that the restaurant somewhat lacks atmosphere. When I'm not looking for a pizza, I'd prefer the other Italian restaurant next door - it just feels a bit nicer, perhaps because it's slightly smaller?!

Authentic Italian in West Hampstead. Ate here with a friend on a busy Saturday night. Antipasto was buffalo mozzarella and very tasty. Mains were fusilli Napoletani and trofie pasta. Both were delicious, well cooked and served well. For dessert we had the crostata al cioccolato and the semifreddo all cioccolato, both very sweet and well presented. Service was attentive and on top all night, though a bit awkward at times, e.g. the servers took away plates with bread that we were still eating to make room for the antipasto. Understandable as the tables are very small, but perhaps use some common sense and serve the antipasti once the guests have finished eating what is already on their plate. Small restaurant, tight seating, but relaxed, inviting and most importantly good food. Without a doubt Sarracino is the best for Italian in West Hampstead.
