Reviews of Sodo Pizza Walthamstow
A. I. (.
Great pizza in a very cosy/candle-lighted atmosphere. Definitely one of the best/fluffiest dough I ever tasted on a pizza in London actually! Highly recommended if you are looking for a simple yet elevated pizza experience near Walthamstow Central.
J. K.
Recommended by a friend. Love the garlic bread! So thin and chewy! The pizza was great, although a bit too sweet from the honey. I was expecting it to be a bit more spicy since its Carolina reaper infused honey, plus the Nduja. But overall its great pizza!
N. M.
Delicious meal here - great combinations of toppings. Wine list was fab with a great selection of orange and natural wines to have by the glass! Will definitely be visiting again!
C. H.
Up there with the best pizzas in London! Wonderful fresh ingredients, lovely atmosphere for couples or for friends, friendly and accommodating staff. Haven’t lived in Walthamstow for that long but it’s by far the most visited restaurant!
K. E.
Very good pizza, interesting beers, kind service.
A. S.
I love this place - the pizza is flavoursome and ingredients they use are fresh and innovative. They are willing to substitute toppings without any fuss. Also, the homemade kombucha is some of the best I’ve ever tried. Can’t recommend it highly enough!
D. S.
Went here on a Saturday night and can't fault the atmosphere or staff who were friendly throughout. Just a shame the pizza's themselves weren't the best. I had a Wicker Man which was too sweet from all the honey and after cutting it into slices all the toppings fell off so I was just left with a soggy base.
D. K.
Great place, delicious pizza, friendly service 5 stars
C. D. L.
Clean, rustic, very cosy atmosphere, with wooden chairs and tables and old school candles in a bottle, to decorate and lighten the table.
All staff is young and smiling, customer service was simply outstanding.
Pizza is sourdough, thin with a tasty crust, easily digestible and top notch ingredients,i am Italian so I know a thing or two about pizza!
Also nice beer selection, I took a pale ale, but also wines and ciders are available.
I ordered the wrong pizza by mistake (MY mistake) and not only did they insist on bringing me the one I originally wanted, but they also gave me the wrong one for free to takeaway 🤩 two pizzas, one beer, one Cola and tap water 32 pounds including the 10% service charge.
I will absolutely come back for more and bring more friends.
O. A.
Best tasting pizza I've had in a long time! Delicious fresh ingredients, full of flavour. They even have organic cola that tastes better than coke! And the friendly & attentive service makes it this place perfect for a lunch date.
H. E.
Great atmosphere excellent pizzas friendly service home like👍👌⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
A. S.
Good food and really nice location.
Better to book in advance if you don't want to be seated next to entrance door tho.
The food was good and tasty. I wouldn't define the pizza as a proper Italian one, however the dough tasted good enough.
Overall a bit pricey and oversolod.
M. M.
We really enjoyed our visit to this place: tasty pizza and desserts, good selection of wines and friendly service. Will definitely visit again.
H. K.
Good food , lovely staff and attentive service, i will be returning regularly

Down a cute cobbles side street, Sodo Pizza is a very cute building. Lovely cosy, buzzy atmosphere inside and good design. Good selection of local beers. We had the Wicker Man pizza, which with the chilli honey was sweeter than I'd prefer but otherwise delicious flavours. A great local restaurant to spend an evening in.
B.
I found it so refreshing how much pride they had in their food and ingredients. It’s not often you find a restaurant that believes so deeply in what they are serving. Our favorite things about this place other than the food is the atmosphere. Dim candle light, smooth music and very tasty drinks. We will definitely be visiting this spot often and recommend to any friends that are looking for phenomenal pizza and chill spot to hang. We love it here!!!! Our favorite pizza shop, absolutely delicious!
J. S.
Excellent pizza. Worth waiting or going out of your way for. Long fermented sourdough base and fresh ingredients. Great for your gut.
K. W.
I ordered the truffle pizza and was amazing! They were extremely generous with the truffle which made the pizza have so much flavour. Fast delivery, will definitely order again. Thank you
J. T.
Certainly the best pizza in Walthamstow and among the best in London (in my opinion), you can tell everything is made with passion. Superb atmosphere, and really good value. The smoked anti-pasti is incredible! Staff have always been very friendly and attentive when we've been, and we've never had to wait more than a few minutes for food. Good selection of drinks, lots of choice for vegetarians like ourselves, and vegan options too 👌
V. I.
Great place, one of the most delicious Italian style pizzas I've had in London. Coupled with good drinks selection, cozy atmosphere and lovely staff, it's one of the best places for casual lunch / dinner around. Highly recommended
G. J.
Lovely hidden gem. Staff was super friendly and the food was great. Even had a gluten-free option with butter beans instead of dough which was delicious. Would definitely recommend.
P. O.
Great atmosphere in old industrial building. The quality of the pizzas has dropped recently. Better pizza options around unfortunately, this was the best in the area for a while
T. T.
Really nice, very busy. Would recommend getting a reservation before. Pizzas were really tasty, totally yummy. My boyfriend had two!! He was hungry though and I had one pizza (well he had some of mine too, haha). Had olives for starters which were super fresh. And a sparkling wine. It wasn't opened in front of us but it was a great bottle. There's a compulsory 10% service charge - I always think the customer should choose how much they want to tip bars on the service they get and not be forced to. Apart from that I was really happy!!
H. H.
Don't get the fuss with this place, it was down a dingy alleyway piled with smelly bins so after walking through that you eat. Pizza was nice enough, a bit too tangy but thin so easy . Just dont get the fuss ,v average
S. Q.
Good pizza, and extensive drinks list, but the stars of this establishment are the desserts. Make sure you leave room at the end
Z. H.
I was visiting Sodo Pizza last Saturday and it was absolutely incredible. Pizzas were tasty; full of fresh ingredients and incredible cheese.
We were drinking first time in our life still cider...and trust me we needed exactly this alcohol on Saturday!
Served with the cold glass and from vintage bottle. I absolutely love it this kind of little details.
I highly recommend that place. Everything there was just perfect.
Thanks Sodo Pizza for great Saturday afternoon x
L. M.
Best pizza I had in London. What a pretty looking place with quiet and cozy atmosphere. If you are in this neighborhood you have to visit this restaurant. The staff was very polite and friendly. We also liked the lemonade even though it was from can.
Y. C.
+ Thin pastry, fresh tomato base , not common topping combination. the Chili oil for pizza are one of the best I have ever taste
- lots burned parts, I left quite amount bread , it will be much more enjoyable if it's not burned much so only gave 4 star.
Pizza price £7-11
Cafe mix Bar atmosphere
R. G.
Pizza was really yummy and the staff working there were really helpful and welcoming. Evening parking was available not far walk (just check with the staff when booking as it gets busy). Starters were really yummy too
P. S.
Decent pizza, great ambience and service, not much else to ask for a pizza place in Walthamstow!
A. V.
Very nice pizza and great atmosphere. We got delicious oily garlic bread and a half meats half anchovies pizza. Had a good time!
M. R.
Good pizza but on the pricey side. Nice place though
H. K.
This is a hidden gem in Walthamstow! Nicely decorated. The pizzas are amazing, my favourite is the Wicker Man! I will be going back for sure!!
M. S.
A legitimately great pizza place. The pies are interesting and delicious without being try-hard. The service is really cheery, abs the drinks selection is solid. Bookable, a genuinely great spot for a bite to eat. Been twice now and had a good time on both occasions
I. L.
Great atmosphere, good wine celection and brilliant staff. Amazing pizza!
P. C.
We went so I could get the vegan affagato, but unfortunately they'd sold out. We ordered coffee, and the waitress that served us didn't want us to be disappointed, so went above and beyond and offered us complimentary vegan biscotti (which was absolutely delicious! It had a delicate coconut flavour). We will absolutely be returning to try out the pizza: I saw the table next to us enjoying theirs and it looked amazing!
The coffee was also superb, and my oat milk was served warm and frothed, which was completely unexpected and blew me away.
I can't believe I haven't heard of Sodo before, given how exceptionally good the service was, and how delicious the food / drink is! There's a few locations around London, but only the Walthamstow branch serves brunch.
Another bonus point: you can order any of the toppings and they'll be baked inside a butterbean stew (which the table next to us had also ordered: it looked nutritious and fulfilling :)). Perfect for anyone who is gluten free, or wants a lighter dish!
M. W.
Friendly staff and good pizza, they are also dog friendly! In fact a few weeks after our visit here to eat, we were passing by on a hot day and I had forgotten to bring water for our dog. I popped my head in and asked if they could fill his bowl, which they did and even gave a little bag of treats for him!
L. G.
One of the best pizza I had, anywhere in the world. Better than in Rome! Also, service is very friendly and nice with good advice. The wine was good, the tiramisu was good, and even the atmosphere is nice with a warm and rustic design. Reclaimed and upcycled. But overall, great pizza. Did I say that the pizzas are great? Just go. Also they do takeaway. Prices are reasonable.
A. W.
Excellent Place to have Pizza 🍕...and Wonderful Staff...
N. S.
I've been here a couple of times, once for pizza and again for brunch, and I've never been disappointed! Food is delicious but at busy times there is a bit of a wait. Can't complain!
S. M.
Very good service of excellent food. Pizza were perfectly cooked, very crispy and great sauce. Service was quick and staff extremely friendly.
L. W.
We love this place. Pizza is always flawless, we tried burrata for first time and it was interestingly good. Affogato after meal is awesome dessert which serves as sweet and coffe at the same time.
A. S.
Best local pizzeria. Been going here for quite long and never disappointed with pizza. Staff super friendly and fun.
B. D.
We have been to Sodo few times before and we liked it. Yesterday we visited after a long break and it wasn't great. On the good side: the service was very good, both waitresses were friendly and attentive, they kindly helped my wife choose a pizza which she would enjoy by swapping some ingredients; the olives we had for starter were delicious. Sadly the pizza choice is limited and I think mainly targeted at vegetarians as majority of the pizzas were with vegetables like courgettes, broccoli, aubergines, they all seemed very similar (different menu then before); non of the Italian classics except margarita. I also find the place is overpriced for what it offers, poor toilet area, rocking table... There are few other authentic pizzerias in Walthamstow and Tottenham that have better choices of pizzas and cheaper.
m. p.
Delicious and reasonable, can't ask for more really. Good non-alcoholic beer too.
O. J.
First time here and became an instant favourite. Pizza is amazingly good and the staff is super friendly, especially Leone 😊❤
We will return for sure.
Thank you
C. V.
Loved my pizza and wine from Sodo! I’m definitely looking forward to eating here again!
A. P.
Very nice place, yummy pizza and lovely staff!!! Cozy and beautiful, recommend 100%!
g. s.
The food is delicious, really great place
U. G.
Nice pizza- weird ingredients , go for Margherita and you can’t get wrong , sourdough is good
Lovely selection of beers, staff attentive
E. Y.
I actually didn't like pizza until I tried this place I will be ordering again very soon 🍕👍
S. Z.
Great selection of pizzas, found it really hard to pick as all looked amazing. Their sourdough crust is really good, thin and crispy. Better than other sourdough pizzas which can be really soggy. Everyone loved theirs, will be back often.
J. K.
Great Neapolitan sourdough pizza! Amazing dough and sauce. Proper proofing and hydration of the pizza dough. I usually get the Margherita or one of their specials. Great quality ingredients and their cocktails are also worth it! I also appreciate the staff they make me feel right at home and the vibe is always fresh and cool!
R. W.
Super speedy service and great staff! Amazing pizza. I'll definitely be making this my new regular pizza place.
D. H.
Wonderful place! Fantastic pizza! Very kind and helpful staff, and nice atmosphere. Reasonably priced. If I had to find an issue, the only thing I would say is parking is almost non existent and the toilet seat was broken. But I would highly recommend this place. As 4 adults and a child, we ate for under fifty pounds and the food was top quality. I would definitely go back again soon. Thanks
T. M.
Loved the pizza, loved the place. Quick and courteous service the moment you walk in the door and the menu is full of creative flavours and combinations you don't see elsewhere. There's a great selection of local 'Stow beers too which is always great to see on any menu.
J. K.
I loved the atmosphere, very sustainable. The customer service was excellent and the food was amazing
H. S.
Had a take away. Very easy to order on the phone. Was ready on time. Good price. Staff was friendly. Me and my family thoroughly enjoyed it. Didn't feel any heaviness after eating. Will definitely go again and recommend it as well.
B. J.
House-made ginger beer was super tasty, as was the local beer selection and pizza! Great vibe and lovely staff. Wish I'd found this place sooner 🍕🍺 👍
J. P.
Friendly staff, very nice atmosphere, delicious food. I will go there again.
C. L.
The pizza menu has a great selection of classics and interesting flavours.
I came here on a Friday night without a booking and they did their best to get us a table straight away. The place was busy but a nice atmosphere.
I ordered the Mary Jane which was delicious, great quality ingredients.
Would highly recommend, the prices are really decent for such nice quality pizza.
N. C.
Best pizza in London, awesome vibe, amazing staff and love the locally that they locally sourced ingredients and beer where possible. Menu options on point, can’t rate the sun-dried tomato starter enough. Owners were in the restaurant when we were eating, they were friendly and clearly passionate about their craft. Will come back and will definitely try their other restaurants.
C. T.
Walthamstow Sodo Pizza is my favourite pizza joint ever. The sourdough pizza base is always done on point and they never skimp on the toppings! My favourite combination to order and share with someone is the Lorena and Wickerman. The tiramisu dessert is also a must. I like that they do seasonal pizzas so that if you’re ever feeling adventurous you can try something new.
N. A.
Great atmosphere and good pizza at a fair price. Shame the locally brewed beer was tinned.
M. F.
I love this place. Low key, great food, fun vibe. And great value. Don’t think twice. Just go
A. T.
Very good pizza.
A. P.
Liked the decor and atmosphere. Had the Vegan Top Boy. Very tasty, first time having walnuts on pizza and wholeheartedly approve. Would advise booking as it's quite a popular restaurant, thanks to the waitress who was able to squeeze us in! :)
C. G.
Delicious, perfect base and tasty toppings. Worth the journey if you don't live nearby
S. B.
My partner and I visited this place on a weeknight and it was busy enough to have a nice trendy, cozy vibe. That being said the food is average at best, both our pizza's had weird and quite unpleasant flavours so we didn't enjoyed them. Menu is mainly antipasti and pizza so would of expected a better product. There are better pizza options in Walthamstow so we won't be going back.
N. d. P.
The pizza is absolutely delicious and definitely the best we've had in London. The food consistency is there across their sites as well!
The customer service is excellent too, as the business has shown it is keen to put things right after taking on feedback.
D. E.
Wow - for us this is the best pizza in London. Really delicious sourdough. All the pizzas are great, but The Wickerman stands out above the rest.
We had visited the Bethnal Green 'branch' a few times and always wanted to visit the place where it started.
Sodo also do pizza making evenings which are a little pricey, but super duper fun and totally worth it. Check it out!
I. D. m. i. E.
Clean ,inside & outside , options, cosy feeling, really helpful staff on the ball,
S. M.
Excellent pizza, somewhere I didn't think I would like but I was pleasantly surprised by the excellent service and the food.
Tucked away in a mews off Hoe Street by the old cinema, this place unashamedly caters to the new breed of Walthamstow resident with its well-worn decor and weathered vibe. There were some people sitting in a booth closed off with chicken wire inside, but fortunately we sat at a table where we were a little more free to roam and graze.
Great service from our waitress despite the place being completely packed on a Saturday night and the menu is adventurous and different, if not entirely to my liking. The pizzas and starters we ordered were very good however.
Worth a visit when it's not too busy.
S. P.
Great sourdough pizza, with at least 2 vegetarian options (plus ever-changing specials). I am vegetarian and the Lorena is my particular favourite. They also have excellent home made ginger beer.
H. G.
We ate here with the family twice during a two week vacation. The pizza is amazing and the restaurant just has a fun local flair. Highly recommend it.The staff were attentive and very accommodating. The ambience was buzzing and the food didn’t disappoint. The wine prices are abit pricey as expected. I have become a fan since my first visit and now I’ve found myself raving about this place to anyone
M. R.
Lovely place and great service. Pizza was very tasty. Limited menu but I guess easy to make a decision. My husband wasn't impressed with the beer selection. Would recommend and we will visit again
K. T.
Really mixed feelings. I like the simple menu (with vegan option), the food (yes, the pizza was little burnt but still delicious) and the super friendly staff, they were taking good care of everybody. But I did not really feel good in that place. That space has way too many tables. Tables for two are too small for pizza plates and drinks, one person is stuck between table and the wall and the person opposite gets hit in the head by people walking around. Also, note that it is kids friendly restaurant so we ended up having dinner in kindergarten with loud music. Nice pizza but takeaway next time.
M. C.
My absolute favourite local pizza place. Been four or five times for pizza and once for brunch and loved it every time. Delicious pizza with unusual toppings, fresh tasting ingredients, very friendly staff, gorgeous wine. We have sat at tables and at the bar, and I would recommend the latter. Last time we were sat at the bench overlooking the kitchen where we could interact directly with the chef and watch him work. He was clearly a perfectionist, working hard on every pizza, but still finding time to chat and joke with us (and give us a few free antipasti while we waited). I'd go back again and again.
K. H.
Love this place. The pizzas are so good and I love their homemade ginger beer. The different types of eggs for brunch are served with sour dough toast. Great place to meet friends with kids as they do small versions of the pizzas for them.
E. B.
Αmazing pizza and lovely locally brewed beer! Always a great dining choice.
M. W.
Lovely pizza. Great service. Good value. Recommended.
a. r.
This is such a great local place to eat. It's very calm and you feel at peace while eating there. The pizzas are very very good and the service it always nice. The presentation of the food and everything about this place is unique and I really like it.
D. O.
Decent local pizza joint. Pizza toppings were delicious, although the dough itself is not particularly memorable. Nice people, good drinks, and generally a laid back place to get a bite to eat.
P. S.
Best atmosphere in Walthamstow for evening dining. Staff are super lovely and welcoming. Pizzas are yummy however often the base can be a little burnt giving the pizza an acrid taste. Would also be great if mushrooms were available and another meat option beyond the cure meats. That aside I do love this place.
N. D.
This is an outstanding place. From the pizza to the natural wine to the atmosphere to the staff to the music. It’s everything that high quality, laid back, informal eating should be.
Pizza is insanely good with a perfect sourdough base and freshest toppings. There’s always a different, exciting special to accompany the regular pizza menu. Truly Italian in spirit and execution without a hint of the Americanisation of pizza!
Big shout out to Leone, she’s one heck of a waitress - fun, funny and friendly. And knows a little bit about natural wine 😉. Give the girl a raise!
E. S.
Absolutely fantastic pizza made with top-shelf ingredients. Very generous portions as well, considering the quality and the reasonable prices. Be careful or you may not fit dessert in, and that would be a shame - gorgeous, rich brownies on that menu.
The drinks menu has a nice array of craft beer, wine and spirits, and at reasonable prices; though a few more wines by the glass would be nice.
The service is amazing and I actually can't recall the last time I saw such a smiley, happy staff in any restaurant! The restaurant itself is nice, a bit lacklustre from the outside but makes up for it indoors. Lots of atmosphere, simple slightly rustic decor. My only criticism would be the bench seating - really do prefer a chair! But that's a single, pretty quibbling complaint :)
M. H.
The wicker man is my favourite pizza, not just here but anywhere. Decent selection of local craft beers. The cocktails are good too - only basic ones but they make them well. Just bear in mind if you don't book you'll usually be seated on a slightly cramped and shaky bench with other diners
A. C. (.
Some of the best pizza I've ever had. It's very popular, so can be pretty busy, but the staff have always managed to sort things out. Nice touch of finding better chairs for my partner who is pregnant. The specials can change during the evening. Great place.
M. D.
Very nice place surrounded by cosy atmosphere with industrial decors, candle lights in the bottles just gave for this place more romantic feelings. food are top class. Worth to try “dirty boy” pizza which will make finger licking experience. ❤️🧀
w. w.
Really good pizza! Recommend the Dirty Boy!
T. J.
Great sourdough pizza, can be a little loud
P. P.
Pizza is good, although the dough under the topping is very thin. Beer is served in 330ml cans and is high priced for what you get. Good atmosphere though.
L. B. B.
Delicious, really light sourdough base pizzas. Interesting toppings in unusual combinations. Vegan options too. Fantastic brownie with salted caramel sauce. Best I've ever had!! Totally glorious food event. Happy bellies
M. W.
The best pizza in Walthamstow, though I do wish they could add more Vegan flavours. :)
Z. B.
Sodo is my guilty pleasure and about once every two months I'll go there on my own to eat. You can request foods to be made so I always got for their anchovy garlic bread, Wickerman (one of the most delicious and amazing pizzas you can buy on this planet) and a drunken afegato, all washed down with a bottle of their cider. I cant really comment about any of their other dishes but if they are half as good as the aforementioned then they will undoubtedly be brilliant. The staff are always really cool and leave me alone to dine happily. Definitely my favourite place to eat in the world.
L. L.
Ordered a pizza for lunch today with my husband on delieveroo. I called the restaurant because there's no option to change things and the lady I spoke to was super lovely and kind the pizza is amazing the best I've had in Walthamstow! Very happy great customer service thank you :)
P. J.
By Far the Best Pizza Place in London
Food here is AMAZING and so is the service and atmosphere. It’s not only our favourite local pizza place but by far the best in London.
We have been here several times and have always had a fantastic evening.
The best part is the quality of food, friendly staff, excellent service and great atmosphere is consistent on every visit.
Menu is small with about 6-7 pizza’s with 2 specials every night. Deserts – tiramisu is yum.
So glad we found this little GEM of a place.
J. F.
Good atmosphere, good pizza (excellent bases and tasty toppings) and a decent selection of beers to wash it all down with. The service is crisp and friendly and it's utterly unpretentious. Which is probably why it's always been humming whenever I've been there.
A. P.
Nice place, charming. The staff is very nice and friendly. The Pizza is not bad but they could have a more extensive selection. I was surprised to see that beer is only in bottles. Overall is a nice place to spend an evening if you are a small or big party.
P. B.
The staff were attentive and very accommodating. The ambience was buzzing and the food didn’t disappoint. The wine prices are abit pricey as expected.I have become a fan since my first visit and now I’ve found myself raving about this place to anyone who plans to eat around Walthamstow. It’s not an easy place to find as you have to go through a perfect crime scene alleyway however once you enter the premises you forget where you are. The place is always busy so make sure you reserve a table.
E. D. T.
Staff are wonderfully nice and they get the job done in a timely manner. The atmosphere is very cool and welcoming. Most importantly, the pizza is ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!!! The sourdough base is delicious and it doesn't make you feel bloated (always a plus!). The tomato sauce has a delicate sort of sweetness to it which compliments perfectly with the mozzarella cheese that could be described as heaven on earth! All of the other flavours are unusual, unique and just fabulous in all areas. The desserts are also delectable, with the brownie being rich but not too rich and the tiramisu being filled with flavour. I don't have one bad thing to say about this restaurant and I can't wait to go a million more times is the future!!
H. O.
Really good pizza, friendly staff.
A. W.
This was my third visit over the past couple of years whilst visiting family. Sodo delivers every time. The best pizza I've tasted. Great staff and great food. What else could you want. Very highly recommended.
A. S.
We've been for a family night out. It was not exactly what we expected from the review. The place is very cute and the staff nice but no much choise for a normal pizza and not exactly Italian style but more American way. Still good and ok to try once. We may go back trying something different then pizza.
K. S.
It would have been good if our waitress listened to us. Among the drinks, we ordered a lager, but we were served an IPA. One pizza we ordered was VEGAN, we were asked if we wanted mozzarella on it and declined, however the pizza turned up with mozzarella. The food and drink was good, but not what we ordered! If we go another time we would have to be very specific and demanding to get what we ordered.
L.
Turn up and dine or book in advance. This place is ideal for a date or to visit with a group of friends and family. The food and drink selection is great, the pizzas are amazing! Lovely staff and a relaxing vibe with subtle music, indistinct chatter and the open view kitchen providing a nice backdrop.
N.
Great pizza & Friendly staff
K. O.
A hidden gem! Vegetarian pizza was amazing, such a cool vibe and modern decor. Quite cosy so for small groups of people would be best (4 people) loved it!
M. L.
Friendly and incredibly attentive staff, we didn't have to wait a second too long for our reservation and the atmosphere is really nice and cozy. This is our second time here though and I am still waiting to be blown away by what other reviews rate as 'the best pizza ever'. The starters were really good (we had garlic bread and burrotta - never heard of it before but tasted delicious, the same concept as a burrata but with ricotta in it). But the pizzas are still not 100% for me. The base is great, but they seem a bit stingy with the toppings (and some combinations are a bit disastrous). I had a half and half (half with salami, mascarpone and nduja, the other half was the special with gorgonzola and honey - and kale). The mozzarella had practically evaporated from the whole pizza, I literally could hardly find any, the honey was so strong (and so much of it), it completely covered the taste of the gorgonzola (what a shame!), so half of my pizza just tasted of honey. The salami had been cooked for too long/too much and it turned into a chewy nothingness (can I suggest slicing it wafer thin and putting it on top of the base after the pizza has come out of the oven? same for hams, don't cook them, we Italians do it this way for a reason). Again, there were a couple of squirts of mascarpone on one side of the pizza. I really want to love this place, maybe next time...
I. P.
Nicely cooked pizza very nice vibe and interior. On the down side, as i am a perfectionist when it comes to pizza the tomato and mozzarella were not top quality. The place was a little bit too hot and stuffy. But in winter it should be nice and cosy.
T. P.
Sodo's pizza is absolutely amazing! Its some of the best pizza i've ever had and I eat a lot of pizza. The restaurant has a nice relaxed atmosphere with really friendly staff and a great beer selection. I'm also told (by my girlfriend) the homemade ginger beer is top draw. Definitely check them out if you are in the area, you won't be disappointed.
R. M.
Found this place via an online review and we keep coming back. Great pizzas and drink selection. The service is impeccable and atmosphere always amazing. Booking on Saturday evenings is recommended as it's very popular but you can do takeaway if you live locally.

Absolute gem of a restaurant! Very busy, so I would advise booking a table. Last time I was there the manager took us through a very detailed wine selection. He really knows his stuff! The pizza is so tasty!! A must visit!
R. K.
Excellent atmosphere and service. Yummy pizzas too.
M. W.
Only been open a short while, but you wouldn't know it. Fab pizzas, good, busy, atmosphere, very friendly service - their meat cured pizza is brilliant.
These guys know what they are doing, even saw the chef rejecting pizzas prior to cooking.
Book just to be sure.
E. B.
Too noisy and staff very busy, but good pizza
K. S.
Amazing place! I highly recommend it. Not only is the food excellent, but the staff are on the ball, the atmosphere is great and the best thing is; you can bring your dogs with you! Which is very convenient as both my shih-tzus love a bit of pizza too. Definitely going back!
T. L.
Pizza looks great but the curse of ordering through Uber Eats means pizza is cold on arrival. Now waiting for the oven to heat up to heat the pizza up. Maybe learn from Yard Sale who have their own delivery service and pizza arrived piping hot!
D. S.
I visited this place with my girlfriend, yesterday. I was so surprised. Amazing pizza, I think the best that I ever had. Very nice and kind staff. And the atmosphere of this place is incredible. The best recommendations
s.
Gorgeous little hidden gem in Walthamstow. We tried 3 pizzas they were all delicious and the staff were lovely too.
Will be going back for sure.
A. J.
What a great little hidden Gem!!
We have had one of the best eating out experiences here tonight, thanks to the amazing evening provided to us by Ben!!
Thanks for your recommendations!!
The food has been great from starters to desserts!!
We will be back for some more that's for sure:)
Highly recommended!!!

Original italian pizza. Sour dough pizza that feel light in your stomach and still very rich flavour. They also have a couple of vegetarian options in the menu. They offer a wide range of beers but I recommend their home made ginger ale.
M. B.
Pizzas are nice but they seem to deliberately go out of their way to make up bizarre recipes at the expense of flavour. Service also a bit hit and miss - more than once I've seen people that ordered after me get served first.
A. B.
Love this place, why can't my pizzas taste so yummy? I guess my ingredients are never as fresh. Fun vibe to this place and staff are always welcoming.
b. t.
Really friendly and welcoming. Nice trendy decor. Pizza was very tasty and well served. Wine was on the pricey side, but was organic and tasted divine. Well worth a visit.
C. I.
Sodo consistently sets the standard for great 🍕 served in a laidback back & stylish environment. The new Walthamstow restaurant offers a really good selection of pizza choices, the staff are spot on and the drinks menu is just right. This is definitely a good place to eat and hang out.
V.
Very nice place, strong hipsters atmosphere, friendly staff. The pizza dough is not to my standards (hence 4 stars), but I still love to eat there!
B. C.
Heard great things about Sodo so perhaps we were just unlucky. Pizzas were both a bit soggy. I ordered The Wickerman, which comes with scotch bonnet chilli honey. From the name and ingredients we expected some heat and were disappointed that instead it was sickly sweet with zero trace of scotch bonnet.
The side they had on special, Asparagus with Graceburn cheese was amazing.
I'm sure we'll give Sodo another chance at some point but probably won't rush back.
B. A.
Pizza's made to order. Staff very helpful. Nice cosy little restaurant. Well worth a visit.
b.
Great food and nice staff! It's one of the best places i know around to have great food, always feel welcome, staff is genuinely positive !! It's very busy, so book a table in advance! Keep up guys the great work you do!
M. H.
Great pizza in a chilled environment.
R. H.
Cracking place, great staff, great selection of London beers, only 6 pizzas on the menu and 2 specials but they are all fantastic (have tried 4 so far and the rest look great). Booking recommended at the weekend if there's more than two of you.
S. S.
We really loved the pizza here. Fluffy sourdough and good range of toppings. Nice service staff too and great for the kids.
C. H.
Delicious pizza and great service, we booked in here and they also had a great selection of beers.
A. C.
Amazing pizza, I know a few good pizza places in London and I think this is my new favourite.. staff are really cool too!
EDIT: Just remembered they serve Beavertown beer, and if you know your beer, you know this is worth a mention!
J. C.
Delicious pizza - deserves the good reputation. Nice outdoor set up
C. F.
Consistently great pizza at an excellent price. No surprise it is so good given neals yard supplies their cheese and the ginger pig does their meat, couldn't find better suppliers.
A. M.
Really tasty pizza and lovely service! Would prefer some more choice if pizzas but just because they’re all amazing.
C. A.
I dined with my family on the evening of 19th February. We were seated at Table 81 which is very unstable. While we were eating , one of the candle holders fell over onto my granddaughter. If we hadn't been very quick, her jumper would have gone up in flames with serious consequences.
Perhaps you could revue the safety of having those tall candle holders on unsteady tables.

I. B.
I had the Wicker Man and it was absolutely lush! Good service. They need draught lagers. In fact any lager would be good. All these new fangled IPAs are just not my bag. Nor are the tiny cans of "cola".
M. D.
It gets busy on Friday evenings so we were lucky to get a table. Everything is fresh and tasty. Service great and friendly. Only niggle would be how close the tables are towards the bottom corner.
O. P.
We love this place! Awesome pizza and tasty beer with a really nice atmosphere. Not a bad word to say!
J. C.
Great hidden pizza place, with many flavours out of the ordinary, as well as exciting local beers. It's busy, so be prepared to share a table or sit at the bar.
-.
Very nice pizza place in Walthamstow. Quite hidden but very good at making excelent pizza with some cheese jokes and great staff. There isn't a lot of pizza to choose from but the they the have the basic Marghetia and meat style pizzas. very good pace would definetly Recomend
a. p.
No doubt best pizza in Walthamstow in cool industrial space!
L. W.
Came here for Saturday brunch and it was wonderful. Great location, really nice atmosphere, service with a smile. Would recommend the Eggs Lorena - absolutely delicious. Will be coming back!
J. M.
Straddles the line between quality and hype expertly. Terrific and changing winelist, pizzas extremely moreish and charming and attentive staff. Decor and prices just the right side of hipster wonk. Very, very decent.
S. W.
Great pizza and service, would bee happy to go back. I'd say check the menu before you go as well. Really nice range of soft drinks too. X
A.
Their Wicker man is my favorite pizza in London
M. “. O. K.
Having read numerous reviews praising Sodo I had the opportunity of visiting when a friend said they'd like to go there. It was an impromptu decision made at 7pm on a Saturday night, we arrived at 8pm and were told we faced a 90 minute wait for the spot by the kitchen. Walthamstow likes Sodo it seems.
We decamped to a local hostelry and supped on a pint and just as it was finished Sodo called to say we could eat. Service was friendly and efficient, they politely laughed at my jokes which is always nice.
Good selection of beers and cocktails. I had a rum and ginger to start, homemade, fiery ginger it was delicious. For pizza I went opted for the fishy Jon Bon Chovy and then went off piste by asking for some nduja on top. They checked with the kitchen and it was A-OK.
Pizza arrived fairly quickly, deliciously light base and toppings, not 'overly' fishy, which is sometimes the fear when anchovies are involved and you don't know how heavily salted they've been.
Didn't look at deserts as it's January but there are options. Their gluten free option is a bean stew with the pizza toppings of your choice.
A. H.
The best restaurant atmosphere in London. Amazing pizza, always good, delicious desserts, exceptional wine. The service can not get better
R. H.
Best Pizza in London. The toppings and specials are brilliant and the ambiance in the actual restaurant is lovely. Perfect place to have a casual evening. They also take bookings!
G. T.
Having just opened their doors, we went along to try the pizza and I have to say, it was superb. Great atmosphere, delicious food, and friendly staff. Make sure you order the cured meat pizza. Total gem in Walthamstow.
P. B.
Really good customer service. I had a lovely birthday meal. The desert is to die for! ;-)
J. W.
very friendly staff and nice atmosphere. I thought the pizza was reasonably priced and the pizza tasted fresh though there were a lot of burnt parts on the bottom of the pizza which I thought brought the whole taste down.
D. S.
Colleague and I arrived early nearby for a business meeting. Wanted a coffee and a chat but nothing "obvious" in the centre. Found Sodo...who we're great at lunchtime to let us have a much needed coffee out of the rain. Food looked fab...Will call back!
L. V.
Very good pizzas, nice desserts, friendly staff. Sitting inside can be a bit hot if you're too near the oven. Very busy at peak times.
J. S.
The only place to knock the mighty Muga/Muga2 (in nearby Leytonstone) off the top of my favourite pizza list. I also heartily recommend the brunch offerings, we went recently and the staff put little hearts on our coffees for our anniversary :)
P. H.
Always enjoy a Sodo Pizza (especially everyone's favourite; The Wicker Man). Service is always welcoming and the selection of drinks is great.
B. L.
My favorite place in Walthamstow and the best pizza! The restaurant is so pretty and cosy and the staff are just lovely!
L. G.
Excellent pizza, natural wine, decent beers and really good service. It gets busy so worth booking, but they do walk ups and take your number so you can get a drink while you wait.
O. M.
Best pizza ever! It's the sour dough that makes it so good. Also the exceptional attention to the quality and provonance of the ingredients and wine is second to none.
l. g.
Really good pizza, nice atmosphere, friendly stuff. Would go eat there again any time :)
J. Č.
Best pizzas in walthamstow! Great and cosy atmosphere. Highly recommended. Friendly staff! Definitely coming back to try more locally made bear and juices.
M. N.
One of the best pizza i ever had, also counting the ones in italy (i am an italian guy). The place is cozy and the staff is really nice. No words for the food that is simply delicious!
J. B.

S. B.

R. G.
Some of the best pizza in London. Friendly staff. Can't go wrong. We come here a lot and would highly recommend.
f.
Honestly ! It was ok. Very vibrant, lively and a nice atmosphere. The pizza, well...it's pizza. Not the hardest of things to get wrong but that said it was enjoyable and tasty.
D. D.
Such friendly stuff! The atmosphere is welcoming and the pizza was super good! Definitely we'll be back 💜

H. F.
I love this place. Amazing pizza. Tasty dough and great toppings. Yum. Often have to book though.
C. P.
Nice pizzas and good with kids, they are one of many pizza places in Walthamstow, but the best for a dine-in meal.
b. l.
The best pizza in London. Amazing organic wine. What's not to love!
H. H.
Great pizza in a nice chilled setting. Sourdough pizzas are awesome with some really nice toppings. Family friendly.
S. M.
Continues to be one of Walthamstow better eateries. Has been a bit of hit and miss on occasion but appears to have improved it's menu.
W. T.
The brunch menu was really tasty, the homemade tomato sauce was delicious. The range of brunch options was fairly limited however
E. A.
Lovely restaurant, great service and even better pizzas! Selection of local beers worth trying. A++
A.
Fast, friendly welcoming service and pizzas also top notch great little place tucked away off the main road. Oh and the Wickerman is to die for, please don't be getting rid of him anytime soon Sodo!
M. T.
The Wicker man is the best Pizza I have ever had. And the homemade Ginger Ale is to die for.... Keep up the good work
V. M.
It doesn't matter if it's a Tuesday night or a Saturday night, they're going to be busy, so you might want to call in advance if you're a larger group. What can I say about the food... five stars pretty much says it all doesn't it?
R. S.
Luca is a dream! 🥰 Wonderful food, wonderful service. A must visit in Walthamstow
J. K.
Lovely atmosphere, lovely staff and fabulous pizza. My favourite neighbourhood restaurant.
C. W.
The pizza and the ambiance are both brilliant. I had the gluten free option last time which is the pizza toppings on bean stew - genius.
