Reviews of STECCA
Excellent service and atmosphere, good food (your typical upscale Italian restaurant fare—solid but nothing special). Beautiful space and the waiter/Maitre’d is very warm, knowledgeable, and attentive (but not overly so). The bread basket is really good (housemade focaccia and super thin crisp Sardinian crackers) so get that. Appetizers were better than mains — excellent Buffala and tomatoes. Tagliatelle and pappardelle were a bit undercooked but bolognese was excellent. Sea bass satisfactory, again nothing special but exactly what you’d order. The skin wasn’t crispy/charred enough. Overall a very good and relaxing experience.
Great authentic Italian food ! Would highly recommend! Also the owner has great knowledge on food and wine pairings. The small menu is effective ! I feel there is a fair balance !
Amazing food! One of the best Italians in London, the truffle cacio e Pepe is so good. Great friendly service and good selection of drinks.
Top restaurant , top staff . Definitely be back
Not just real Italian food, but also superbly prepared. The raw dishes are just unique. One of those rare restaurant you have to go back to again and again to try all the other dishes on the menu.
I came following a suggestion Of a chef Friend Of mine .. Well i m IMPRESSED . Their " crudo " ( row Fish ) it's phenomenal , even in Italy it's hard to get such a great quality of crudo .
Perfectly mixed with seasonal Italian top quality product , their choice of wine by the glass it's fantastic , didn't have enough time to go through their wine list also because I was on my own but as I said their Italian white wine by the glass to match with the raw fish it's great . I would advice , raw tune with Italian micro cappers carpaccio and scallop carpaccio with taggiasche Oliva from Liguria .
Cacio e Pepe pasta with truffles was probably the best I ever had , I will come back ASAP with more time and looking forward to try other dishes , so far so GREAT .
Well done to the chef .
Absolutely must try that Restaurant, located in a quiet area of Chelsea. Fresh and handmade products, accompanied by excellent wines and splendid staff.
The food is fresh and top quality, like the staff, thanks for everything!!!
Highly recommended.
Excellent service. The service is run as a team, with the waiter, somalier, and manager all ensuring no table is left wanting attention. The food was fantastic, well paired with a modestly proceed wine by the somalier.
Amazing italian food. The Place its well designed. The staff it’s very kind and sweet in typical Italian style.
If you can come to try.
Food was very tasty but indifferent service not very welcoming at all. Sensed that was because we are not Italians. Expensive for what we had. 2 main courses ar 19 each and 3 glasses wine. Bill for 90.
We celebrated my partners birthday here and it was fantastic! The food was delicious, the drinks great and staff fun. Would definitely recommend to everyone.
Food was lovely. I had fantastic pappardelle with porcini mushrooms and a starter with oyster mushrooms, fossa cheese and rocket. I really enjoyed it. The kitchen is a bit slow but overall a great experience. The owner from Rimini is very nice and friendly.
Perfect place and great cooking with the freshest Italian products imaginable
Had a great experience here. The Veal Chop Milanese was 👌🏼👌🏼
Amazing food ,for me beat italian cuisine in London . Stefano the chef is super ,so hospitable , need to try him red prawns carpaccio,or the pasta with
Like in Sicilily
Ordered fantastic spaghetti together with a very reasonable priced wine. The attention of all the personnel was warm and Italian like!!
Amazing food in a such elegant and bright place. Highly recommend the beef carpaccio with black truffle and the clams and bottarga tagliatelle. Good service, friendly and efficient. Will definetly return!!!
Food is great and the ambience is quite nice. Waiters need more training.
One of the best Italian restaurants in London. Meat is defintively the best choice, pasta is too al dente (maybe cooked too quickly?). Worth a detour.
Excellent, high quality Italian food. Veal chop spectacular
This place used to be good. Now average food, very slow service.
The restaurant is simply elegant , the service amazing, we enjoyed the food specially the cacio pepe. High quality food at a good price. Will return.
Great Italian. It’s original, the chef comes up with intelligent specials, you can have light foods like carpaccio, and fish to pasta. Like all Italian restaurants, make the effort to engage the staff and give them more free rein when ordering; they know best.
Prefer the pasta at il trillo next door but I would come here again as I did have to change my order and they accommodated very well. Service is attentive.
Great food, atmosphere and service. The gnocchi was amazing - one of the best we had.
Great food and great athmosphere. If you want to try real Italian food this is the place to come!
Well executed dishes from across Italy. Typically warm and fine service from the Italian staff
Delicious food in a relaxed atmosphere. The paccheri cacio e pepe with truffle is amazing.

This year, due to exile, we are making Christmas food outside the home. In London this is a bit of a challenge, because many places have always closed on the 25th, a bit like Thanksgiving in New York, but fortunately today many restaurants offer, at least, a special Christmas menu. If anything, the downside is that in many cases the sites try to take advantage of the festive euphoria with prices much higher than usual.
The idea then is that, if you have no qualms about spending money, even for a day, there is no problem finding interesting options. We are going to the, let's say mythical, Italian Stecca, in Chelsea, which is relatively close to home, which is important this time, because in London they also close public transport at Christmas
The Stecca is a quite famous place where, for example, they say Frank Lampard frequently comes. It is small but elegant, and it has on the wall some photos of Sofía Loren (playing with balloons in the film Boccaccio '70 by Vittorio de Sica) and Anita Ekberg (in La Dolce Vita) that do not go unnoticed. I don't know if it will be the usual, because it is Christmas, but today it is full of Italians, couples, families or large groups starting their meal with many glasses of Aperol Spritz
The Christmas menu here is quite extensive (starter, first course, main course and dessert) and also quite extensive in price (£55 per person without drinks or service). But in general we all really like everything, and we order almost all the options, taking advantage of the fact that there are four of us. We love, for example, the “grilled calamari with sweet chili and rocket”, the “ricotta cannelloni with black truffle”, the “tagliolini with lobster, chili and garlic” and the “aubergine parmigiana”. And of course the panettone and tiramisu for dessert, as tradition dictates.
We only had three glasses of wine and a few bottles of still water, as “extras”, and it cost £283.50 for the four of us. But we still smile and say “Buon Natale” as we leave. The advantages of coming to a classic
Friday 9/8 at the end of the English tour we went to this restaurant for the reviews and for the tablecloth on the table!
Let's start from the beginning, at the entrance you are greeted by name which is not for everyone and the view is of a welcoming and professional restaurant! (P.S. even the shop window and signs are sober and elegant.
At the table while waiting for the dishes, green olives are served (I don't know the origin but very good and excellent flakes of Parmigiano Reggiano) the surprise bread is served "carasau and altamura bread" !!!!! with Umbrian extra virgin olive oil with fruity, delicate hints.
A good morning starts in the morning!
Among the various proposals we choose the truffle risotto (black), perfectly cooked, very good.
For the second course, we choose the Fassona cutlet made "tagliata", alternatively you could have the Milanese breaded version. Perfect cooking, great taste!
One flaw was the spinach, it was too spicy for our tastes, while the potatoes were very good.
finishing with berry sorbets (not always available in restaurants in Italy), with final espresso and artisanal limoncello.
Final bill for three (with bottle of wine) £180!
For the quality offered the bill is correct!
Congratulations, continue on this path.
Definitely recommended!

Top Italian restaurant in London!!! Excellent food that reflects Italian tradition, attentive customer service, minimal and elegant location. I would definitely go back.
Amazing Italian food! Stefano is the best chief!
The food is delicious, the fish is fresh, excellent service! The best Italian restaurant in town!
Cosy italian near fulham road.

Bel posto
Top chef
Very good food!
Ate great!
Pretty good food here. Group had oysters, scallops and a sardine tomato salad to start. All pretty fresh and tasty.
For mains everyone was happy although plating could have used some work. I think everything tasted fine but could have looked a bit nicer on the plate.
Staff was fast and friendly. Nothing bad about this place, would go again... But nothing really shined either.
Small selection, but well done dishes.
Try out the paccheri cacio e pepe with truffle.... 😏
Delicious dishes, classic Italian with contemporary flare. Prices reflect quality and good quantity, eg generous tasty Sea bass portion. So why only score 3? Service quality was way off the mark - very slow to take order, slow on drinks, and second dish took forever. Repeatedly asked for simple things like sugar. Totally inefficient as plenty of staff for the less than full tables. Somehow they achieved the remarkable ... totally spoiling the atmosphere of a wonderful summer evening
Good service but my pasta was undercooked. Always feel awkward telling at Italian that their food isn't right so I have to do it here.
