It was my second time visiting this restaurant. It was great the first time but was even better the second time. The service was fast and friendly, the food was hot, fresh and full of flavour and the overall dining experience was fantastic. Its a modern, cosy and affordable Italian restaurant sat right by the riverside, a really lovely location. Only negative from me is they added on service charge, but it wasn't too much so I wasn't too fussed. Overall a brilliant restaurant and one that I would highly recommend.

Nice food, friendly and efficient staff. The truffle fries are really nice and the sticky toffee pudding is a must The burger bun was a little dry, but I'm not fond of toasted buns, so it may have been just my prference. The rest of the Strada burger was really good, as was my wife's Chicken Pasta Milanese A shade over £60. For the two of us, including drinks.

We found this wonderful place in the Royal Festival Hall, just by the river walking with my friend last week. Had a yummy light lunch 🥗 🍕 and I decided to take my kids here too. So much I loved it 😊 Only a five minute walk from Waterloo Station and I am back! Kids enjoyed kids menu too. All fresh, good sized portions, reasonable prices, nice location by the river, sun ☀️ and people strolling 🚶‍♀️ by. Here You definitely will enjoy both with friends and family, with children and by Your own. Special thanks to the stuff: Jack and young lady who found pen 🖊 to my boys enjoying activity sheets 💡

We had two delicious lunchtime meals. Both Italian, one Seafood Pasta and one Chicken and mushroom pasta. Great service and chilled atmosphere inside. We had two glasses of wine, expensive. Food average price considering the location. I'll definitely recommend Strada Southbank

Three starts is more for the food as everything else was good. I had the chicken milanese, the chicken was good, hot and tasty but the linguine was cold and very overcooked, gummy and limp. The tomato sauce wasn't that great either was to sweet and needed a bit more seasoning to give a better flavour. The steak ordered for my partner was really good and tasty. Our waitress was lovely, looked after us although she was really busy. I liked the fact that other colleagues were trying to help her by bringing us the drinks and food while she was running around trying to serve all her tables. I do appreciate a good team work. Many years ago I was a waitress so I know how is like. Well done to her and the colleagues that helped her. Just a little thing to improve, when bringing staff to the table instead of just saying the name of the drink or the food, at least say a hello, good evening or something like that if haven't approach our table before. That will be much nicer then just getting there and say "chicken milanese and steak" Overall, apart from the linguine, was a good experience. 👍

Very pleasant indeed. Sat outside initially enjoying the scene then inside when the breeze picked up. Friendly easy going staff and nice food. Reasonable price for anywhere let alone riverside in Central London.

The restaurant was very tightly packed with people with a lot of tables that had not been cleared after people had left. We were shown a table through the back of the restaurant which didn't feel very festive. The service was good. We ordered our food which came out very quick, a bit too quick. It made us feel rushed. pizza was good, the sharing platter was small and would not really feed two adults, it was only just enough to feed one adult and one child. I had the beef burger which came out with only a small amount of fries and nothing else, for £14 it was disappointing. The price of a pint of larger was almost £10. We were only there around 40 minutes as the food came out very quick. When we got the bill there was a 12.5% service charge which was an extra £9 on the bill. I thought that for only being there for 40 minutes this was not good. They did take it off after I questioned it. I think that the emphasis was on getting as many people in and out as quick as possible. No great. I received a reply from Strada asking to discuss my review but have not yet been contacted. Clearly their reply was only offered so people reading their response will think they care about reviews. Clearly not. After receiving an apology in the way of a discount on my next visit i explained that we only visited London as a one off as we live a long way away and have no plans to visit again, the manager has not replied so i'm not sure that customer satisfaction is on the top of there list. Very disappointed.

Liliana served us on Sunday night, just before the Euro final. She was incredible. Her personality and French nationality were sublime, her service and recommendations spot on. I had such a lovely lunch here on Saturday. I loved the location and even though we were sat outside it felt warm and cosy. There was a great choice of food and drinks. The carbonara pasta was delicious and I loved the locally made cider. The service was of a high standard too with meals delivered quickly, considering how busy it was and with a smile. Have had the most wonderful authentic Italian meal here today. Everyone was friendly warm and welcoming. The food has been fantastic and top notch, I love nothing more than an authentic Italian restaurant and this is exactly what we got. I know pubs in London that do better pizza, The dough wasn't good, it was to oily, and cheese taste and texture could of been a tasteless cheap cheddar it would of been okay for a cheap pizza from the supermarket but definitely not what I go out for. The staff were nice, and working super hard.

Lillianna was fun, friendly and an all round superb host, never allowing the glasses to run even half dry. Lovely staff, food and cocktails!! Thank you all. A lovely surprise was the covering and heaters for our meal. The staff were always smiling, found us a great seat even through we were very early for our meal. It was raining when we went but that made the already cosy seating (and brilliant coffee) even cosier.

Brilliant place, great vibes, lovely staff and cracking food! I really enjoyed the whole experience! The only let down was the "optional" 12.5% service fee which was automatically added to the bill. I would've tipped at least 10% of the bill as per standard, but I felt the option was taken out hands and I didn't appreciate it. Other than that though, I would recommend Strada heavily as the experience and food were exquisite

Place is nice, shame the staff don't have an etiquette when they communicate. For example I didn't ask for my bill they just gave me it when they felt like it. Or when we entered the front line waitress/manager showed no hospitality at all, was just 'reservation please' then move along lol just so robotic. I get it, it's london so etiquette is out of the window (unless you wanna pay for it). Anyway food was decent, price for the food a little expensive, a salad for £15? So value for money is not too high either. They're obviously trying to recoup the money during the past few years but upping must of the prices by £1-£2 at least.

Every vegan-curious, wavering on gluten-free, vino extrordinaire’s dream. GF pasta was so smothered in garlic, buttery, goodness there was no moment of soul searching as to wonder why you’d order pasta sans gluten. Impeccably realistic waitress made us confident in the absolutely generic white wine we ordered and had us also questioning why we weren’t ordering dessert drinks on a Monday. Please bring your high dietary maintenance friends here.

Right next to the river, the atmosphere is lovely to spend a night out with a small or even larger group. My cousin and I ordered a couple of antipasti and one main each, and Federica was very attentive and ready to check on us and how our time at La strada was. Despite being busy both service and food were great. The location is lovely too to have a nice walk post-dinner.

it was my partner's birthday and all the staff at Strada made the evening really lovely and special for us. the food was great, everything was quick and prompt but tasted brilliant. I asked if they could bring a cake out for dessert and all the staff came out together to sing Happy Birthday and it was a lovely touch. Alex our waiter was friendly and always made sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend and will be coming back here again in the future.

A family group of 5 had lunch here on a Sunday in early August and it was delightful. Service was great, pizza wonderful and atmosphere perfect, all within stones throw of the Thames. Sadly no “view” to speak of, but that’s not enough to mark it down. A thumbs up from me!

However at 5.30 the restaurant was already fairly busy so I would definetely reccomend booking beforehand if you are going on a Friday or Saturday. My boyfriend and I were on the Goldon Eye on Sunday and we were looking for a restaurant nearby. It took us 5 minutes to walk there, also for our food-demanding bellies, it was perfect. The restaurant is elegant but cozy at the same time. We were served by a very nice lady from Italy, we say hello. Smiling, open and helpful. We ordered mozzarella flatbread, which was not only flavorful, but delicious. We also ordered vegetable antipasti(mozzarella not to be underestimated) and carbonara. All delicious. Thank you to the cooks and staff for a pleasant experience.

So I'm giving this 3 stars for 2 reasons... the food taste was average, the food options were minimal, and there was no social distancing between tables... ok make that 3 reasons. The service was great, the waiter was fast but I was concerned that the tables were so close to each other. We were sitting outside but that's not the point, some distance would have been appreciated especially because it was ridiculously packed/busy. I went to a nandos the next day and there was social distancing there so doesn't make sense that there wasn't here.

I had a reservation under my name with my friend at 21:15 this Saturday, although we came slightly early and the staff were regardless very friendly to let us come in. The customer service was IMPECCABLE, truly, and deserve to be said - from the moment we were welcomed to the last goodbye. I would want to say at huge thank you to our waitress Noemi, I even asked for a sort of penne arriabata and the chefs did an excellent job of executing that, I even did a slight mistake, truly my fault didn’t see that the penne were VG vegetarian and had cheese and not VG for vegan and Noemi was very understanding and just super nice and arranged for another meal for me without the mozzarella. A nice waiter called Stephan even gave me vegan mozzarella which was very nice I did not expect that ! Thank you to Noemi and the rest of the staff including the chefs for this night! Will for sure be coming back!!

I have been approached by a energetic simpatic lady. So energetic that she told us to sanitise while she is preparing the table for us then came back she put us to sanitise again. She offered us a seat on the terrace, Niko was our server. We had a lovely meal he was attentive with us. The atmosphere is cozy and friendly. My family and I visited last minute, hoping to get some quick food before a show. The service was very quick, if perfunctory, but we got the food we wanted with plenty of time to make the show we were going to see. I ate the mushroom risotto, which was delicious, and very filling. Other dishes we enjoyed were the seafood linguine and the carbonara. All were made to a high standard. Served in very large dishes, the portions appeared rather small at first, but there was much more food than we expected. The prices are reasonable for the food you get, but it is not a place to visit on a budget.

I just want to preface this by saying I was a bit of a nightmare of a customer. I felt the carbonara pasta was undercooked (and I am used to the normal spaghetti noodle type whereas this was thicker) and while I normally don't do this my boyfriend asked for the pasta to be switched to linguini. I got the replacement fairly quick but there must have been a misunderstanding and I got the standard seafood linguini. I really can't do seafood and I tried my best to eat it, unfortunately I had to leave it and we just ordered dessert. The manager (I'm not sure of her name) came to talk to us and was so kind. I really hate to make a fuss and I wish I had just eaten my first meal (my boyfriends pizza was amazing by the way I sneaked a bite). She told me not to be sorry and that they would replace it again with anything on the menu, even dessert. I felt awful and said it's perfectly fine but she didn't want me to leave hungry. I honestly think this is the best hospitality I've ever had. The manager then didn't charge us for any of the mains I had and said the dessert would be free. We were still charged on the bill (but not for any of my mains). I'm honestly very happy about that and wouldn't insist on a free dessert. All in all I know I was a difficult customer and they handled me gracefully and never let me feel bad. They seemed to just want me to have a great time. Would highly recommend and would come again, I just might stick to dessert for my personal taste. The pana cotta and tiramisu are glorious by the way!

today I went to lunch in Strada with my family. we were sitting in the quite area with the big sofas, really good atmosphere, the food was not bad at all and the waiter gave us a very good service. the only thing I didn't like it was that my wife asked if it was possible to have a seafood risotto, but the waiter replied that it was not possible because it was not in the special of the day. in the menu there is seafood with pasta, I don't see the problem to do with risotto. apart from this we spent a nice afternoon.

We had an INCREDIBLE waitor called Roberto who I think may have been the manager. I would recommend this place literally just for him alone!! Actually really good. While I am not a big pizza fan there were alternatives and I was pleasantly surprised that I was asked how I want my steak cooked... Raw.... But there was even a choice of Blue! Don't hear that often (in the UK that is). The proof is of course how it arrives... And I can tell you it arrived just as requested raw. Impressed! My table friends meal were also very good (chicken and two pizzas) so overall a great experience!

After a long day, this amazing Italian restaurant was a short and beautiful walk from our hotel near the London Eye. The staff and management were immediately welcoming to us - especially with our seven year old daughter. Marku and Nico took great care of us and recommended some great items. I had the wood fired pizzas with prosciutto and it was cooked to perfection. I want to come back and try out the pasta...which will probably be tomorrow night.

I've been to Strada previously at a different location and didn't rate it at all. Nevertheless, we had a quick look over the menu and were after something relatively familiar. Inside is quite pleasant, and lots of light comes in through the full front windows, even on an overcast day like the one we visited on. The service and the food were very good, I had the tagliatelle carbonara which was delicious. Desserts were decent, but not as good as the mains. The only real downside, and is to be expected in central London, is the price. Food, but in particular drinks, we're expensive for whst they were.

I had dinner with my friend at Strada Southbank yesterday. It was our first time visit and I can honestly say that I was impressed! The overall experience was amazing. We were greeted with wide smile by male staff member who let us choose the table. Then we ordered the food. I have to say, we had many specific questions, but they were all answered and the menu was explained to us. Eventually we went for pasta and Saltimbocca, which tasted amazing. Home made Panacotta at the end recommended by our waiter was out of this world! I just want to say thank you for the service provided by male waiter and delicious food we had. We will be definitely back soon.

Nice food and staff friendly enough but considering I booked in advance and notified them it was mums 80th birthday, the welcome was underrated. I asked if we could purchase a birthday cake or anything with a candle but the chef just looked perplexed. As we couldn't manage a desert, not even a sparkler was arranged. I know, perhaps we shouldn't have had any expectations but in some restaurants they would sing Happy Birthday at least (she was wearing a badge and sash). Just wanted to make it special - its not every day you beat cancer and make it to 80 years old. Wish I'd gone next door to Wagamamma!

In a very touristy area so I wasn't expecting anything special, however the service was extremely good, the pizzas very nice and the kids had an adult tagliatella carbonara and kid's menu pasta carbonara respectively, both seemed happy with their choices. Dinner for 4 with two Peroni beers and a house white wine came to £67 inc. service charge which for where it was wasn't bad.

Lovely pizza place. I had the Formaggio the last time I was here. It's crust was delicious, crispy and thin and there was a generous portion of goat cheese on top of it. It was heavenly cheesy, I loved it. They also offer pasta, risotto and a small section of seafood that are all great. I really liked my dish and it was a good portion. The pizza looked good too, but pepperoni came on her pizza when she asked the waiter to omit them. The waiter was very nice and apologized for the mistake.

Stupidly we ate here at 6pm on a bank holiday monday. Even still, I won't be back. I should have known better, and avoided the area entirely - but here we were, the kids were hungry, and the queues at Wagamama and Giraffe were too long to contemplate. The food was thrown together, it felt like in the rush they'd given up on quality control or portioning. The kids menu felt like they were trying to cram in too many elements within a price, but none of them actually worth it. The adult meals were massively disappointing. I know it's a chain, but chains can do so much better. We eat at Pizza Express pretty regularly, and I've never felt it drop in quality when things got busy the way I felt it drop here. That said, this was nothing to do with the staff - who were doing a good job. It was pure and simple a management failure, and that's partly the problem of a venue that caters to a captive market (people going to shows at Southbank) and non-returning visitors (Southbank tourists). As neither of those, though, we certainly won't be back to this restaurant, and we won't be visiting another Strada any time soon.

Stopped in for a meal before a film. Table was placed on the edge of outside. Service was rushing due to volume of customers. Once told the starting time of film the food arrived. Nice wine with that special someone.

Make sure if you book, to be on or before time otherwise they WILL give up your table :o) Had a good experience, good food, didn't feel squeezed and was served well by Erika. Only down side, it was noisey inside due to the volume of customers. Other than that, great!

Could be a good choice on the South Bank, but Coven Garden is just across the bridge and offers a much improved selection of restaurants.

Popped up the South Bank one evening Christmas week with my family we walked along the restaurants and liked what we read on the menu board for strada we looked in & it was packed but i asked a member of staff it she could fit us in & surprisingly she found a table for us, the staff were polite efficient & friendly the food was served fast considering the busyness of the restaurant The food was to a very good standard, clear plates from all of us So i would recommend strada as a place to eat
