It's home cooking on a budget. The calamari rings tasted pasty as was all batter and likely bought frozen. The seafood rice was overcooked and looked like basmati type of rice when I expected more Mediterranean rice, however I don't know much about Portuguese cooking. Portions were large, very large so the right place if you have a good appetite. Staff was nice.

This is a nice hidden gem in Stockwell! On the outside, it looks like an ordinary cafe, but it’s anything but that. All the dishes we had were freshly cooked, generous in portion and tasted like they were homemade, authentic Portuguese food. There were 5 of us and we only had to pay around £18 each for a sumptuous feast that could feed more than 5. Shout out to our server, Silvana as well for being so attentive and accommodating. I’ll definitely come back and bring my family next time. :)

We were supposed to be lunching at the Canton Arms down the road, but they aren't doing food. Instead we had an excellent meal at this Portuguese cafe. I had spaghetti bolognese with mushrooms. John had tapas. Two different channels of portuguese TV were on the go.

A family business. A little corner makes you feel like you are in Portugal, love the environment, really tasty food and good portions. In my opinion a bit overpriced on the “tapas menu” compared with some other restaurants around, however, this is definitely a good place to go with your family or friends.

Amazing value and welcoming local. Great, fresh ingredients - yummy clams with garlic, chicken with garlic, very spicy potatoes, freshly flamed chorizo, salt cvod, etc... It's like being in Portugal (even down to the Formica tables with linen napkins, wine or Sangria by the jug and Portuguese TV). Very rowdy on football night's.

From outside, this restaurant doesn’t look nice. But when you are inside you can see is ok, and downstairs is very well decorated. The food are really good, cod is fresh and the plates are very good portion. But don’t eat to much as you need to leave space on your stomach for the dessert which is again big portion and very taste. The staff are all the time checking over the clients so you do not need to wait. It is very Portugués. Sure we will repeat again!!

This is all time favourite place to get Portuguese food. Family run, small and simple, it's just the venue you know that good stuff will be cooked up in the kitchen. I get one thing here and one thing only, the espetada. It's the best I've had anywhere, with tender and well cooked meat every time, dripping juices into crispy polenta below. When you find a good thing, you stick with it! I also get the sangria which is great!

A friend recommended me this place and took me here. Had the peri peri chicken with chips, salad and rice. Chicken wasn't dry, it was tasteful just like everything else on my plate. We went to the Three Lions for the first time, we had tried couple times before but it was always so busy. The service was really good and the food was also great. We had the francesinha (Portuguese speciality) and it was actually challenging to finish it. The sauce was quite good and it had good variety of meat inside and TONES of cheese!

This little Portugese cafe on the stretch of South Lambeth Road that is mostly Portugese cafes has caught my eye more than once but I'd never actually gone in. Came close when they were serving roast veal for Sunday lunch but headed to the Canton Arms instead. But this weekend the Canton Arms was shut and so time for an adventure.

Grilled meat, very tender kebabs, rice and beans blacks to Brazilian, fresh paella. All perfectly cooked and very generous portions. And in the end the surprise also in the price. £ 60 for a pharaonic dinner in four. The staff good and very kind !!! (Original) Alloggiavamo all'holiday inn sulla strada e abbiamo deciso di provare questo ristorante portoghese. Ci siamo tornati per tre sere di seguito. Benché il locale da fuori non si presenti benissimo ( nella via sono tutti ristorantini vecchiotti) il cibo era fantastico. Carne grigliata, spiedini tenerissimi, riso e fagioli neri alla brasiliana, paella freschissima. Tutto cucinato alla perfezione e porzioni abbondantissime. E alla fine la sorpresa anche nel prezzo. 60 sterline per una cena faraonica in quattro. Lo staff bravo e gentilissimo!!!
