The food was good but quite basic and no exceptional flavours. The staff was welcoming, then once we decided to stay and didn’t buy drinks they didn’t care anymore. We took the 13£ meal thinking that the ‘main’ would be the size of a regular dish. That 13£ meal consisted of bruschetta and carbonara. The bruschetta was nothing special but the carbonara was quite good other than the fact that it was a tiny portion. We also tried the garlic bread/pizza and the caprese salad. The salad was great but you had to basically put the pièces together yourself, but it was fresh and nice. The garlic bread was good, but could have used more seasonings or a dip or something extra. Overall, this place is not at all bad, but it wasn’t quite up to my expectations. I am also disappointed about the size of the carbonara as it is sold to be like a main dish but it was about half the size of a normal main.

What a fabulous little restaurant. Staff were very friendly and made us feel welcome and found us a table during their busy period even though we hadn't booked. Quality of the food was brilliant and was nicely presented and delivered promptly. There was a great selection on the menu too which actually made it hard to choose as I wanted to try all of them. Well worth a visit and we will definitely go back.

Amazing food, amazing staff, amazing environment! You have got to go here if you find yourself in London and are looking for some authentic Italian cuisine. The owner and staff were extremely welcoming and friendly, the food was absolutely amazing, the restaurant itself was very clean and well kept, overall, I would recommend to everyone. Thank you for making our last night in London one to remember. :) We will definitely come back to Vespa on our next visit!

Hard to read some reviews here and believe how people complain for some ridiculous things.. and obviously don’t know much about the food. I know much about desserts and the tiramisu I tried here is one of the best and certainly home made. I had lasagne which was fantastic, staff so welcoming and overall atmosphere very cozy with good music!!!

Last minute saves the day - Wonderful food, Fantastic place! We had been let down at a different restaurant and we had a total panic trying to find a table at 7pm on Sunday 29th August with 3 children. We found Vespa via Open table and that was superb. So we booked online and 15mins later we had taken our seats and ordered drinks. Everything was fantastic, starters mains and desserts My wife and I enjoyed a bottle of Wine and we just had a really nice meal in a nice place. Thank you for saving our Sunday night with a great meal.

Fairly new establishment. They were eager and working hard to try and earn their stars... and they earned them. Their steak dinner was good yet was one of the lower priced ones in the area. Gnocchi was excellent. Service was on point. Overall a good eat in a great atmosphere and you save a quid or two. I recommend giving it a try.

Well guys you should try it. Fantastic risotto with mushrooms and ravioli with spinach with an amazing cheesy sauce with walnuts. Their carbonara is the original Italian one. Their tiramisu was not the greatest I had ever tried, I found it a little bit blunt but fair enough and a nice complimentary to a perfect cappuccino. Service is great we had a good laugh with the owner (I believe). Overall, it is a cosy friendly place to dine or lunch or have a coffee or all.

Stopped in for my supper after a stroll round the Christmas market. Lovely authentic place with brilliant service and well prepared and reasonably priced food. I had the garlic bread with mozzarella and spaghetti carbonara, couldn't fault it. Service is added to the bill (I expect that in London) and a at-large glass of red was £8, again, to be expected. All in all a good experience.

After 2 days of eating in London, this one tops the list by far in terms of food and service! I had the linguine with clams (see pictures) and it was perfection ... the perfect amount of olive oil and garlic for the sauce. Don't miss the cannoli specialty dessert imported from the owner's (Antonio) home.country of Sicily. Truly amazing. We also enjoyed after dinner 'digestives'. I highly recommend you try the one pictured. I hope I can find it back in America. Have to mention the service. We were not rushed not were we ignored. They recommended items, were personable and we were attended by the owner himself many times. I would not hesitate to try this little gem of a place out in City center London!!

I was lookig for an italian place with an outdoor space in central London to have my dinner. The atmosphere was really nice, the staff were friendly, the food was tasty. I had pasta, it wasn't the best ever pasta, but was nice. It was a bit pricey, but it is central London after all.The reason I am giving 4 stars is because for the prices they charge the food could have been a bit better.

We made a stop here for a coffee and sit in the sunshine. We were greated by a very friendly young lady , we ordered our drinks and enjoyed people watching. I ordered an iced coffee even though it wasn't on the menu and my husband had an Americano. I can honestly say, my iced coffee was the best one I've ever tasted!!!! We ended up chatting to Antonio (the owner)....a lovely young man who made us feel very welcome and comfortable. We will definatly return here soon for a meal & drinks. There's a gorgous vintage Vespa outside so you can't miss this little gem of a place, give it a try !!!! 🇮🇹

My husband and I came across this restaurant whilst looking for another one I had seen online and couldnt find. We did not want the usual high street places.We were wanting to eat before the Theatre. Well what a find this was it was absolutely beautiful tasting food. My husband had a pizzza, the best he has had in years, and I had spinach and ricotta ravioli with walnut sauce. I also tried a glass of Sicillion wine which was lovely. We could not fault the food or the service, my only minus was that the plate and the food could have been a little hotter, however did not say anything until we left, everything else was so perfect I did not wish to spoil anything or cause a problem. I would very much recommend this restaurant and will go back when next in London and take some friends. Thank you for a beautiful meal.

I have lived in Italy for a few years and missed the wonderful cusine so visiting London I wanted to find a little restaurant that would take me back to Milan. This restaurant was perfect. It has an original authentic atmosphere and the food was truly Italian. Only an Italian can make authentic Italian food and here I felt like I had gone back to my days in Italy. The staff were super friendly and could not have done more to make my dining experience better. I will return again when I am in Leicester Square. The restaurant is also perfect for before or after theatre shows and all the central entertainment of London and excellent value considering it’s london prices. Well recommended you won’t be disappointed.

Went to the square for lunch with my S/O he had pizza and I had the carbonara. Lemme just say this place is the real deal!!! Our calamari appetizer was absolutely gorgeous. Our mains were originally to be split between eachother but we ended up fighting for the bits and pieces left, and we did split the tiramisu and a conollo. The conollo is the best I've had since a family run place in New Orleans!

They often say that Italian restaurants make-a the dishes like-a mama used to make in Italy. Well Vespa, a cheeky-looking eaterie, tucked in a quiet, but visible corner of Piccadilly Circus, makes them even better. After a night out with the wife visiting an art gallery, I was in a situation where I was more interested in feasting my eyes on a good Italian than on a watercolour or tired looking oil. So when I spotted Vespa and its charming manager Davida standing outside, I couldn’t resist but venture in. In some places they say ‘make love, not war’, but Vespa’s motto, emblazoned on its wall is ‘make pizza, not war’. I guess if you’re busy demolishing a Diavola, then your hands are literally tied up. But pizza was not my choice that evening. Instead, I opted for a Penne All’ Arrabiata. It was made with tomato sauce, chilli, parsley and olive oil. Being a meat eater, my host said that was not an issue, and meat was added with a brush of a stroke. When it arrived, this masterpiece from the culinary world was quickly cleaned off the plate, and washed down with a pint of my favourite chilled Peroni beer. My wife, who loves a good gnocchi - usually gets disappointed when she orders it in restaurants. It just doesn’t match up to her own fine home cooking. So we offered Vespa a challenge – make a gnocchi that my Anna will like to eat. So when her gnocchi – which is a potato pasta dumpling dish arrived with mushrooms and sausage in a cream sauce, it felt like a Masterchef moment, when she took her first morsel. And the verdict was a massive thumbs up! I don’t usually go for a dessert, but you can’t argue with a Sicilian, so the compromise was to share a Cannolo, deep-fried pastry tubes filled with sweet Ricotta cheese. It was the best choice of the night. Mid-week in Vespa is not too busy, but that suited me. My only disappointment was my trip home. The Metropolitan line had a signal failure at Baker Street, so we suffered an hour’s delay. If only I had taken that Vespa home with me. It was perched above our table and would have ended a perfect Roman Holiday in London.

Petit bémol, le riz du risotto n’était hélas pas assez cuis. Les desserts quant à eux furent aussi bons, malheureusement le biscuit des tiramisu était trop peu présent en bouche, et la panna cotta un peu lourde, elle manquait peut être d’un coulis. À part ces légers trucs détails, le cadre est agréable l’ambiance est bonne, on s’y plait bien. Enjoy ❤️
