Reviews of COSMO All You Can Eat World Buffet Restaurant | Manchester

I had been to Cosmo World Buffet Restaurant Dens gate Manchester on the weekend. Starting from the entrance till the buffet touch point, that place was nicely decorated and worth trying buffet with the similar feeling of some of the five star restaurants. The ambience and vibes were positive.
I had started my buffet with soup 🥣 which was properly made and served from the buffet touch point or counter following with one of the decent starter main course.
I had experienced with one of the best dessert 🍨 at Cosmo Manchester where you can get varieties and choices to eat.
Starting from the appetizer till the dessert that place is worth going and spending £19.99 plus £3.75 for bottomless drink for a full buffet. Thanks 🙏

It was a quick service. Staff were friendly. We were able to refill the drinks whenever. Would say there needs to be more space between tables as if was difficult moving around with a plate full of food. Not all the food was out, not sure why but overall a good experience. To those who need to know, the chicken and beef is not halal, wish i knew this before entering.

Went here last week with my friend, we literally got there at exactly 5pm as it opened for dinner time and the food was alright. The sushi was extremely hard and you could tell it wasn’t fresh, definitely from the previous day or the day before that. What really bothered me is that even though there were MANY empty seats, everyone got seated literally within an arms reach of eachother and it absolutely wasn’t covid safe at all. The food had nothing to cover it from the amount of people walking about and coughing, which was ultimately the reason why we left early. Maybe it would be a better idea to to put protection shields around the uncovered foods as it is very unhygienic especially in times of covid.

Nice place, very busy.food was ok,but over priced at £18.50 per adult.staff very friendly,we had 15 people all family together which was good.
Only thing was waitress dropped plates full of waste food, not her fault as not enough room between other tables to move safely. Otherwise was a decent evening.

When we arrived we went to the front desk, where a woman member of staff was there. She didn't really greet us with any kind of warm/professional welcome - and her tone was rather miserable/depressing. She then showed us to a table and said another member of staff would come over soon to take payment. 10 minutes went by before someone finally took our payment, we were then allowed to get our food. Ordering drinks took forever and there was a long gap between ordering and receiving drinks (2 pints took over 8 minutes to get to me). Food was absolutely great and very tasty. Lots of options to choose from. Large selection of different types of food - from Chinese to American. Deserts were really nice too and again had a wide selection. Service lets this place down.

Went on a Saturday lunch time with a booking. Busy but enough food with some variety. Food was average buffet food, nothing to write home about. Was hoping for more variety and more seafood as some of the other reviews had said. Maybe better food at dinner time. Place was clean and staff were friendly.

Came here as a big group…everything was perfect. Lots of veggie and fish options. The custard buns are absolutely delicious! The ‘cakes’ not that nice.
T. M.
Good value for money, good selection and variations of food. Let down by lack of help by the staff on how the set up works, what you should do
M. 0.
A lot of delicious food, £18 per person, children under 1,40m, £9.
Cocktails, beer, wine, soft drinks

As far as buffets go it was alright. The service from the staff in the restaurant itself was really good, helpful and friendly. Food is average, mainly Chinese/Thai based. Pizza, continental, Mediterranean and carvery is very limited. Enjoyed the Chinese and Thai food. Process for getting into the restaurant was quite chaotic and despite booking we had to stand waiting with a huge group of people for 25 minutes. Staff at the front weren’t very friendly. At one point the restaurant ran out of plates so we couldn’t serve ourselves any food for a while. The desserts were lovely and I wish I’d saved some room to eat more more of them! Average experience overall :)

Had a bad experience with the way we were treated by two of the girls serving us. Sean the Manager came over hand resolved it quickly. He was fair and had great service. The food was nice. Tepenyaki grill was really fresh and good quality. Would love the duck for the pancakes to be crispy and dry rather than wet. Overall great value for money
W. S.
Great Variety of Food, food was fresh, very clean setup.

Food was fresh and hot, lots of selection. We went on a bank holiday so we appreciate that they took their time to be of service to us but we booked on the morning for 8pm dinner to finish for 9:30 standard and when we arrived they told us they were closing at 9pm and last orders for food was at 8:45 so realistically we only had 45 minutes to eat, the price remained the same so we felt a bit rushed to eat our food and get our money’s worth. But other than that, the food was good.
C. H.
Fantastic place to eat, took our son for his birthday meal and the manager Michael was very helpful and went out of his way to help with our needs as we had an autistic relative with us. Cannot thank him and his staff highly enough for their help in making it a fantastic birthday meal. We will definitely see you soon

I and my partner visited Cosmo yesterday. The restaurant was busy but it was understandable as it was a Saturday. We got served by Julia, she answered all of the questions as we haven’t been there before. The food was hot and nice, the drinks arrived fast. Definitely recommend and will be coming again.
L. H.
Super value. Enjoyed by our party of teenagers and adults.
Very large variety. Almost too much choice, if that is possible.
Excellent staff, very helpful.
Recommended.
The Chinese type food is better quality and variety than the Indian style food.
Regardless, we will be returning.

Visited a few weeks ago with my husband. Got a table straight away. Lots of food to choose from and we really enjoyed our mains. Icecream was a bit bland and flavourless. Chocolate fountain was nice, and the cake. Cleanliness could be improved but all in all we had a nice time and I would come here again.
R. P.
I'd never been here before, and I attended as a huge pre-booked group of 19 people last weekend. The food was fantastic and the staff were so friendly! They were understandably incredibly busy and did their best to ensure plates, cutlery and food were in constant supply. We enjoyed our visit so much, and I would definitely visit again.
M. 8.
We were a party of 20. some trouble with the lift at first but once upstairs it was ok.
food was great. i think next time we will ask for a quieter area to sit as people were kicking my fiances wheelchair and also when he went to get food people were barging into him. other than that it was great.
N. S.
I came here on Monday 21st of March it was quite busy for a Monday however we were seated quite quickly even without a booking , I was a bit disappointed by the shrimps as they weren’t very flavoured but the duck made up for it. We ordered a bottle of wine but we got a large glass however it was all sorted out by our waitress ( I believe her name was Julia) without any issues. I will definitely be comming back.
L. I.
Great selection of food, staff work hard.... I think it would be much better when not full.... toilets let them down.... floors all sticky, no toilet paper in any of the toilets, told staff, they did rectify the toilet roll issue, but not the flooring

We went to celebrate a birthday following a great experience of Cosmo Belfast.
Positives: good decor, variety and quality of food for reasonable price plus bottomless soft drink option. They delivered our bought-in cake and sang happy birthday. Cooked to order steak is fantastic.
Negatives: our used plates were left to pile up on our table, I had to call over a server to clear them, even then they left some remaining and didn't return.
Also, the gents had no hand washing facilites due to two broken taps! The server said we had to wash in the main hand wash station by the food. Very unhygienic.
Lastly, two of our guests arrived late but still well within the 90 mins table allocation and I was told very abruptly but the host they were too late to eat!
I can't imagine another restaurant turning away business when there were many empty tables around.
J. T.
Family oriented. Not as clean as l would like.the floor under the table still had food there from last customer. Very friendly staff and helpful. Food good .ice cream variety could be better.
S. T.
Excellent buffet. Crazy value. King prawns, tepenyake steak, duck, all kinds of chicken. Stuff for kids and even Sunday lunch and pizza. The pudding are nice too. Everyone's having a great time getting full up. Bottomless soft drinks and you're good for an hour and a half. You want to be hungry when you arrive.
P.
It's a good day out, good food, reasonable price. They even do a birthday offer where my dad ate for free! Plus they came and sang happy birthday which embarrassed him... Nice touch 👌😂. We enjoyed it alot... thank you Cosmo 👍
M. M.
Excellent value for money. Great variety and quality dishes. Staff and management very friendly and efficient. Can't believe I've never been before. Will be back for sure.
L.
Went there on Saturday 16:30 didn't look that busy but changed quickly. Only negative is where the food is its narrow and there is lot of traffic. Food itself was fantastic. Normally buffet's make food little bit salty and greasy but not here it was delicious and hot and regulary replenished. Best place in Manchester
C. T.
I visited today for an anniversary dinner date. I booked a table for 2pm, and granted I was 15 minutes late but I phoned to let them know I would be. When I got there I had to wait in the bar because my table wasn't ready? Would I have had to wait 20 minutes for the table if I hadn't have been late?
I also found there was no customer service. We were seated and just left to it. No explanation of what to do, like do we just go up and get a plate? Granted it doesn't seem like rocket science but other places will give you a plate first and then you go up. So after a minute of debating I just decided to get up and get food, or attempt to.
Nice selection of food - I mostly went for Chinese, with some sushi for good measure. There was shredded duck with pancakes etc, also prawns with the shell still on etc, which makes it value for money, at £15.99 per person (before 4pm on a Saturday). The food itself was mediocre at best. It definitely wouldn't win any prizes, but again, looking at the price, you get what you pay for.
Dessert was okay too. I just got a Mr Whippy ice cream (they really need raspberry sauces and sprinkles as an option to be fair!!) and a couple jelly sweets. I did try the chocolate fountain which was rather nice.
It was chaotic in there. Everyone was seated in the same area so it wasn't relaxing, everyone walking into everyone else. Even the staff walked into me a few times because they weren't paying attention and my food nearly flew all over the place. I cleaned up my own plate because there wasn't an attempt by staff. Later I discovered an extra seating area which wasn't being used but if I was sat there it would have been better. I have mild social anxiety but this place really set it off. I felt very uncomfortable when I was walking around. I was fine sat down however because even though it was loud and chaotic, I was at the far end near the clean up area. I didn't leave a tip for the staff purely because I literally received no service. None. Not even a thank you on my way out - the reception staff just continued their chat as I made eye contact.
All in all I was left disappointed. The food is okay for the price you pay but it wasn't a positive experience at all. Mainly because of the staff and the organised chaos. I don't think I'll be going back again.

Spent my Daughters 17th birthday here. Group of 7. Lovely food, great staff. Shame ice-cream machine was so busy, kept running out. Saturday night, with a variety of customers, and all had a great time.
G. P.
It was very busy, and when we asked the server said it was always that way. Otherwise, the food quality was good, the servers were nice and the environment was excellent.
The instructions for payment are unclear though, but a server does come around eventually, and you can call one over (if they're not busy)
m.
Me and my husband came here on Saturday for lunch, we were both expecting to be disappointed, but we loved it. 5/5 good quality and quantity 5/5 staff was very nice and for that price!! Totally recommend
J. K.
Celebrated my son's 3rd bday here.
Amazing food and brilliant ambience.
Only negative was that they were short staffed. So I did have to remind them a couple of times to attend to our needs.
A. K.
The food there was amazing and the young gentleman Jacob was a huge help for us. He greeted us with warm welcomes and got everything that we needed. Thank you Jacob for taking our lovely family picture☺️
M. G.
Went for a dinner out with the colleagues. We had a really good time, food was good and the place is nice. Thanks to the staff, who were friendly and accommodating. Totally recommended.
D. W.
There are wide variety of food, Indian, curry, Japanese sushi, Chinese stir fry, egg fried rice, fried noodles, Italian pasta, bake, roast, pizza, meat, vegan food and lots of cakes, fruits, ice-cream as dessert. For sea food, I can only see king prawns, it would be nicer if there are more fish dishes, scallops as in other similar buffet restaurants. The price is 18 pounds exclude drinks, it is a fair price for the food provided. Food is average in taste, not very impressive but without any complaint. Our family of 4 sat in a square table and actually it was a bit squashed. The whole experience is okay.
N. P.
The place was swamped as its such a popular place!
The staff were amazingly accommodating and offered to help me with anything as they saw I was in a wheelchair, not many companies do this, especially ones as busy as they were!
Will definitely be going again!
J. H.
My first and last time there. Felt like I was in a cattle market. People acting like they haven't been feed and pushing Infront of you.
Nobody told us how the service worked!!Had to go bar to find out how to get a drink. Every table had a server to get drinks and check if food was ok. Nobody came to our to table, the place felt in organised.
I went off my food my I went to have a look at the sweet selection. Kids running around touch everything thing with no no tongs, just their bare hands. One kid sneezed into to chocolate fountain🤢. After that I left.! It put me off.
A. S.
Had a really lovely lunch at Cosmo today. The staff were all really friendly, helpful and attentive. There was a great choice of food and everything was delicious. I would definitely recommend it!
C. O.
Came here as a tablet of six for Mother’s Day for the first time and I was honestly amazed with both the food ( my favourite was the sweet and sour chicken) and customer service our server val ( I made sure to remember her name ) was amazing at explaining to us and our little ones how the buffet worked and made sure all our questions were answered. Will definitely be comming back.
A. D.
Wonderful experience. Was greeted very well by the manager Michael, such a lovely person. The food was amazing, would highly recommend :)
R. W.
Loved the food. Its unlimited 😍 the rate are given on website and the food is delicious. Though compared to other cosmo. The menu is little short but delicious as well. Totally worth it. Must try if you are food lover and want to try new food from variety of cuisine.
B.
Been here a few times and it's always great. The service was great. Thank you to Renee for making our dining comfortable. Great waitress, and customer service. Very patient and helpful.
A. T.
This was my first time in Manchester cosmos and honestly I was amazed compared to the one in Southampton the food was as amazing and the customer service was as well I don’t usually write reviews however I was quite impressed especially with our server I believe it was val we’ll definitely come back when in Manchester again
t. y.
Great food, friendly staff, slow serving drinks, waited 30 minutes and still not received our drinks yet we have paid for them. Anyhow food is delightful
W. M.
Always enjoy this place but now I've been diagnosed with celiac disease, this place is a little tricky. Yes, they have a selection of food that is gluten free but due to how it's prepared and stored they can't guarantee cross contamination. So no more Cosmo until they can address the issue of cross contamination.
S. M.
Good looking environment, good service but quite slowly. Not so generous the list of dishes but very good quality, non enough dessert. Very important they did not refill the ice cream machine, it could be awesome. At the end I will defenely be back again, for the good price but even if they did not applied my student discount because is the Easter holiday week.
s. h.
Came here yesterday with my friends after a long walk and we were really hungry everything was amazing it wasn’t too busy and the food was always stocked up a special thanks to your waitress Julia she was very kind to us.
V. S.
Vegan review:
Everything was clearly marked from allergens so it was easy to go round ‘the world’ and pick out what was ok to eat! It was flavoursome and there was more vegan choice than I expected. They could do with labelling gelatine too for the sweets.
R. c.
The food is brilliant. The only let down is the toilets could do with being maintained better. Other than that, I can't fault it.
F. O.
Good choices, amazing staff, lovely atmosphere. We were seated very quick. The children had desert as their starter and main. Lol.
Hubby loved the prawns. Always ask the chef's if you want something slightly modified. If they are less busy, they can be accomodating. I wanted roasted corn but not in milk so the chef steamed it for me 💗💗
Very friendly and helpful staff.
S. L.
Lovely place to eat with a wide selection of foods, situated in the previous Red Hot World Buffet. Great place to take kids and Mon - Thurs kids go for a quid with a full paying adult! They offer bottomless drinks, pay one price for a glass and fill up with a variety of sodas at the soda machine as many times as you like. They also offer a free birthday meal however we booked too late to take advantage of this, but great to know for future reference.
We was looked after by the lovely waiter David, happy to help and had my son laughing!
N. M.
Definitely much nicer than The Red Hot Buffet. Staff is very attentive and they clean the table as soon as there are empty plates. I just didn’t like the narrow spaces, for example if you are seating in table 24 it is going to be difficult to walk to the food stations as there is not much space to walk around, plus servers trying to move around to do their job. I imagine must be stressful for them when it’s busy.
I wish there were more types of fruits, also they didn’t look very fresh. We’ve got the voucher of two for one, so I can’t really complain about the food, although, the taste of the Sirloin beef was awful. The kitchen staff were very helpful.
P. F.
Great, fantastic food... Food from around the world
꧁. d. L.
Very nice place. Beautiful restaurant, delicious food, staff high standard.
I'm not giving 5 stars because where I was sat down, the area was a bit could. I think the ac wasn't working. I had my meal wearing my jacket to keep myself warm.
J. A. (.
Lovely food I tried a bit of everything I had room for, crispy duck for the win. The cherry on the cake the chocolate fountain with marshmallows and popcorn to dip. Top tip empty a mousse onto your plate and fill up the small pot with chocolate .
V. M.
I have changed my 3 star review after my recent visit, we booked a table which is advisable on the weekend as they do get very busy! We were seated (unessasarily close to another couple though i might add) and our drinks orders taken (£2.99 for unlimited soft drink refills and free tap water machine)
The food selection has vastly improved as has the quality which was great to see, the man doing the steak needs some more training, my steak was blue rather than medium.
Great experience tonight, we look forward to returning again
M. C.
First time in since reopened but will definitely be back
A. C.
Nice food and good staff I went with my family on Monday not to busy but the parking is bit too far but good place for family dinner 😊
B. B.
We pre booked for a group of 10. When we turned up we were sent straight to our seats with no delay. This place used to be Red Hot World Buffet so we expected pretty much the same experience, it is in fact much much better. Wider choice of food on the menu and bottomless soft drinks, which is fantastic for the kids. Desserts though.... Pretty disappointing to be honest. Very limited selection and when we went, the ice cream machine was broken. All things considered, we will go again, as 10 of us filled our faces and drank litres of soft drinks for £105. Find cheaper elsewhere in the city centre and I'd be surprised. Two thumbs up.
J. C.
Was better than I was expecting. Much more choice than other world buffets. 15 min wait for a table. It was too busy I kept bumping into people. The woman who brought us our bill was lovely her name badge said Rae, lovely genuine person all staff should be like that.
Y. Q.
The atmosphere here was great and staff are very welcoming. The varieties in food means there's something for everyone.
R. M.
My 1st time going absolutely brilliant, staff were easy to talk too and many choices of food
J. C.
Great restaurant, plenty to choose from the food was fresh, friendly staff and lovely clean environment highly recommend
A. S.
Great for a family meal. We enjoyed the variety of food on offer. Plenty of drinks. Kids enjoyed it, as did my older parents.
K. K.
Food here is lovely, just the Asian/indian choice is really bland, rest very tasty
E. S.
The manager, shaun, was really nice and the atmosphere was great. Amazing food and I must go back again
M. L.
Great food and definitely worth the price! I think they could do with more options for desserts maybe brownies, strawberrys for the chocolate etc!
The only bad and very annoying thing was the customer service. When we left our table to get more food our tables were cleared completely including our drinks, this happened 3 times. Each time they apologised but did it again. They need to bring in a new system like maybe a red/green card to inform staff whether or not they are finished. One of the employees, who took our payment, was very helpful and apologetic on behalf of the other colleagues.
T. R.
Absolutely fantastic place, Spotless. Loads of choices Meals Hot & delicious well worth the price, my favourite restaurant 💯 recommend, I went last night with friends Mia waitress was fantastic very pleasant making sure we was happy with everything, well worth a visit to anyone who hasn’t been to this place, thank you again for a lovely meal you never disappoint ❤️ X
H. q.
Good restaurant there are much better bofet out there to go to I enjoy the food but not the great one.
N. G.
The food was great but the stuff kept us waiting for extra hour despite booking a reservation in advance. You better come prepared to wait an hour or more before you actually dine. No one apologized to us nor did they acknowledge what happened...
C. C.
A wide, mostly well stocked, selection of foods that ranged from different cuisines - including desserts too.
The soft drink selection wasn't great (a few were unavailable when we visited).
The staff were generally efficient, and ensured that the food was well stocked and that any used plates were taken away.
H. T.
It's a nice place, I'm giving it a 3 as not as good as the last visit, the deserts have took a large downfall, jam donuts were rock hard, and didn't have any strawberries with a chocolate fountain!
And then the spaghetti had quite a few pieces of hard bits. Everything else was amazing.
H. R. N.
The restaurant is located in city centre, easy access. The quality of the food was excellent.
The staff were friendly and helpful. I have been to other Cosmo restaurants in UK and the quality was expected. I strongly recommend this Cosmo branch in Manchester.
J. M.
I liked it so much everything was perfect. Delicious food with so many items. I m sure every one would found something that them favorite.. Very friendly stuff and good value of money. Definitely recommend to friends and family x 👌 5*****
T. P.
Was lovely staff were really friendly and patient considering half of our group or 12 were over half an hour late. Sat us no problems food was great too
M. d. N.
Great experience, good food and clean environment great service and the food is affordable. Great for families too. They would do wit placing extra forks on the end of the food counters and making sure the food is kept warm (rice &curries).. overall had a great time..

Cos-more, More, More!
It’s been ages since I was last at a Cosmo, so I returned for a well overdue visit- and I came hungry!
The choice is stunning: my favourites are the Asian and Chinese sections, though I tend to get a bit from all of them. There’s sushi, carvery, Italian and a teppanyaki where you can ask for pieces of meat to be grilled.
Although my number one dish- the red Thai pork- was nowhere to be seen, there was some gorgeous duck breast that quickly become my new favourite. I also enjoyed the sweet and sour chicken. If I had to give a couple of critiques, the duck for the pancakes has been replaced by some inferior shredded beef, and one of the curries weren’t great.
The mini desserts are still lacklustre- I find them bland- but you can’t go wrong with a few marshmallows from the chocolate fondue.
Service was pretty slow to start off with: servers walked past our table several times despite us being ready to order and so hangry vibes were starting to kick in. Once we’d been seen to, though, we were off.
There’s a couple of decent offers advertised for January, so I may be back sooner rather than later…
T. T.
Great choice of food at great prices.
Their Chinese foods are especially exceptionally well made. Avoid going on weekends evenings without a booking as there is potential for qeues and waits of up to an hour
J. S.
I have been here a few times and it has everything you could ever dream of. Tasty treats galore, big bellys and food coma's are all on offer.
This place is just the best
L. C.
Not much of a selection of foods, mostly Chinese/ Indian and pizza and chips.
Was given a table that rocked so was moved after speaking to the waiter.
Paid at the Start then was asked to pay for my meal again and had to prove I paid for my meal already.
Wasn't a terrible experience but I personally wouldn't return.
K. D.
Been here tonight recommended by friends, greeted by friendly staff at the door, shown to our table, didn't take long for the waitress to come over took our drinks order.
The Food was delicious so much choice definitely will be back. Ion was very friendly and chatty full of smiles.
K.
Average quality of food for a reasonable price (£17pp). A big selection of food. It may be worth it if you are willing to fill your plate more than once
D. M.
We just love it. Plenty of food and variety., drinks. Nobody rush you. Nice and clean. Reasonable prices for kids. We'll be back soon
S. B.
As ever table not ready so dont bother wasting your time booking. Just walk in and sit with the rest of the queue.
Food was hot tasty and plentiful, just the oversubscribed queue that spoils it
p. w.
Went with my son and his partner and Grandson and my neighbour yesterday. The food was excellent a very big choice of different cuisines all fresh and hot we will be definetly coming again l couldn't fault it in any way.
L. T.
The food was fresh and hot beautiful range of food the staff was very polite we were so excited grabbed a plate and food not realising youve to wait to be told to go for food so haddent payed before eating and didnt realise till we asked about drinks maybe explaining to the customer before leaving them at there table that you need to wait n someone will come shortly to take order as it was different to any other food place that serves all u can eat but i did have a loverly dinner but there can be some improvements reguardless i think my experience still deserves a 5 star review i will return and promote cosmo thank u so much for a great night n full tummys x
J. B.
Absolutely brilliant. Visited yesterday despite some of the more negative reviews and we were confused as to what they meant, the variety is amazing, in our opinion better than red hot and the staff are friendly, polite and helpful - they were quick to remove empty plates and were readily available for help at all times, always asking if things were okay but not to the point where it becomes annoying. This quickly became our favourite restaurant and the experience was perfect. We've visited numerous buffets, frequently at Red Hot (the buffet that existed here before COSMO) but none of them compare.
D. T.
Great food especially for a buffet. Well priced staff were tired but friendly and polite will deffo be back will definitely recommend
A. C.
Had Saturday lunch here with a group of friends, fabulous place, great choice of food at a reasonable price, nice and clean, staff very helpful and friendly, will definitely eat here again and recommend to anyone.
D. H.
Really nice and friendly staff that are up for a laugh. Great food and warm atmosphere
N. D.
Amazing food, so many options to choose from. Tastes amazing and would definitely recommend to everyone
j. b.
Ok is all I would give as there is some nice food and some not so nice. Probably would be better if food was hot but I find alot is only warm to cold.
A. C.
Feel like the cosmos in Sheffield and derby had a way bigger selection than this one and it got crowded really quickly with the tight paths round. Would visit the company again but just not this particular restaurant
N. D. S.
Everything was perfect but they need to sort out the payment, I think it is better to make the payment at the entrance apart from it. Everything was fine.
M. W.
Absolutely recommend. Very tasty and fresh food. Nice service, good location.
S. B.
Lovely food and good variety, will definitely be going back. Very nice and helpful staff.

Was a grate place good price loads of different types of foods to choose from best part was pudding they have a chocolate fountain yum.
S. L.
Better steak than TOPS Buffet! Cheaper and more variety and options compared to TOPS! Better quality seafood and steaks as well.
m. s.
Always nice, and for £16 definitely cannot doubt it, well worth it's money 5* all day long
O. M.
Nice buffet...so delicious 😋
H. A.
Food is ehh I got chicken and it was very very bland but staff are very NICE
Overall
3 /10 won't be coming back any time soon
E. H.
Decent price for good quality food and wide variety at that, would deffinately recommend, only down side was the lack of cocktail selection, make sure to go in with a completely empty stomach aswell haha
C. C.
Amazing staff great customer service, the best thing in this restaurant is that all staff are smiling which is a blessing.
S. H.
Great choice of food, efficient and friendly staff, good value for money
G. L.
It is my favourite 💝 but this branch not much choice, no roast duck, the BBQ section not enough and the chef need more skill...
D. S.
We had a party of 18 the service was pretty quick and the food was very nice. But the toilets (ladies and disabled) were disgusting.
A. K.
Mostly nice food, staff not too competent. Also emailed enquiry and never heard back.
d. o.
Really good food
d. J.
It an experience that cannot be explained due to its uniqueness. Best deal it to book a table and get the feel....
R. W.
Great food. Plenty of choice tends to be quieter mid week drinks are about pricey
T. J. E.
Always nice food, chilled place, reasonably good staff, and no bad blood or bad vibes. Probably the best buffet in Manchester.
I. T.
Absolutely loved it! Great variety of food and drinks! You could try anything from so many cuisines. It is also really affordable. Great decor and amazing athmosphere! The staff is also really friendly and helpful. All facilities were clean and tidy. I would definitely go again once I am back in Manchester!
D. M.
Went for a surprise birthday meal. Great food, friendly staff!!!! But didn't like the walk to and from the food because it was crowded with tables where people were sitting.
t. b.
Food was absolutely spot on. Shame to be greeted in waiting/bar area with all the dirty glasses. Spoiled the visit before we had even been seated. Surely Cosmo could employ a pot washer??
E. U.
I can't fault. Great food attentive staff. Mike, thank you for looking after us.
We will be back.
E. T.
Good food. Not as much variety from when I was there the week before with friends for the first time. Desserts are not great. I've learnt to now skip that section.
N. M.
Great variety of freshly prepared world foods. Constantly refreshing the foods. Great value refillable drinks.
J. B.
Lovely food selection, all hot, friendly staff. Nice selection of alcoholic and none alcoholic drinks
S. S.
Everything was great, just the variety of food was not what we expected. Special thanks to Julia, the little bird in charge of our table ❤
J. M.
First and foremost it was good to be back!!
But very disappointed at the lack of choice for the halal options as my wife and I had to ask the waiters passing by but they informed us to ask the chef whereas before the lockdown dishes were clear what was halal and not halal
R. M.
Lovely food and excellent service from Mia had a great evening with Levenshulme Pub Company crew x
F. C.
Really nice food and fantastic staff jack mia and Chloe were amazi g had a really good night xx

Very nice, great quality food. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.
c. b.
Waiters never smile and are very dismissive if you ask them for any help at all , none of them have good customer service skills at all ...dissatisfied both times ive been .
R. M.

R. H.
First time going. Lovely place, lovely staff but the food I had was cold.
A.
Food is a hit or miss, the toilets are dirty and most of them blocked. Staff is very nice and they try their best to help all the guests.
M. I.

Do I really need to say anymore.
B. B.
Amazing restaurant! The manager was very polite and extremely helpful. highly recommended 👌🏽
C. F.
Was just ok, good variety but nothing special
A. M.
Not the greatest quality of food but it's decent for what you pay
S. A. G.
I could not stop eating! So much choice, and everything I tried, I loved! I would definitely return!
L. S.
Lovely food and beautifully decorated. The staff were great. And it was easy to navigate around where the different foods were, great experience overall
V. K.

B.
Food needs to be more tastier , the noodles are great but could be better overall .
X. D.
Best of national wide, big range of varieties foods and good environments for all families. Ideal for meeting and birthday's party.
G. D.
Me and my family went to the opening of Cosmo after it had been shut through covid.
They gave away so many tickets to emergency workers which is a lovely gesture.
The food was nice, fresh and they had a really good selection. Theres something for everyone.
Staff were helpful, welcoming and friendly.
The place was clean.
Thankyou cosmo for a lovely evening
s. h.
Great family place! My one year old loved it!
G. Q.
Great experience, great menu and very welcoming staff
S. F.
Chinese food and lots of wolds food options. Good service and tasty food. They have Halal option too.
B.
Great choice of many cuisines, as much as you want for £18.50
E. B.
Loved the place. Good atmosphere, rich selection of food for every taste.
Cheesecake selection is not to be missed.
C. J.
It was great! Our server Val was a delight.
m. s.
Lovely good, waited quite a while for drinks though
K. K.
Great value, delicious food and very friendly staff. Attentive and we never went long without plates being cleared.
T. G.
Wonderful choices from around the world, very clean but very busy.
L. S.
Great night, had by all, food and staff lovely especially Mia and Jack x
J. J.
Love this place becoming a regular spot for pre theatre meal and cocktails
C. C.
Great food also great serviced by mia I think her name was :)
J. S.
Cosmo is a nice place but can get very busy, the food is a bit hit and miss so it's just a matter of knowing what's good. Staff are friendly and the restaurant was fairly clean. Only con was the pizza was in very high demand and went as soon as it was out of the oven. One thing I would say is it would be worth showing what they serve on the site.
C. B.
Great place to eet for lunch or dinner in the heart of Manchester. Very good choice of help yourself, eat as much as you want mains and desserts .All for a set price. Spotessly clean, very kind and helpful staff Pre booking is recommended.as it is popular. Especially with me!
M. B.
Love the food and experience here. A great selection especially for a picky eater like me 🙂.
N. P.
Really nice. Great design and the food was excellent
N. A.
Loved it!!!! Great food with friendly staff😊
M. J. M.
A good selection of food. Just a little expensive for what it is.
B. J.
Great Food, Great Atmosphere & Great Staff. Desserts need to be a little better but still a brilliant experience.
H. L.
We Had great time, big space plenty of world many various foods selected. There are some food that cooking Infront of you when you want to. Good price
O. N.
Very great place. Good food and bubbly atmosphere
J. M.
A nice restaurant with lots of diverse foods. The atmosphere is great and the owner have utilised the space efficiently to accommodate large groups of people.
K. K.
Great and fresh food, great Chinese and Indian cuisine
k. A.
You get what you pay for. .... Lunchtime on Saturday £12 for all you can eat buffet and £3.50 for refillable soft drink.
A huge selection of foods but in my own opinion lacking flavour and quality. I felt bloated after eating only 1 small plate.
Waiting on staff were lovely and helpful they explained everything and cleared the used plates quickly with a smile. The restaurant was clean and nicely decorated.
W. A. T.
Wonderful buffet, a hidden gem in Manchester (to me). Reasonably priced. Food was delicious as well. Staffs are friendly.
Y. E.
Very busy but very well organised, great food
S. L.
The staff were amazing and we payed right away after seating down which was a shock as I thought we payed after and the food was ok however the spicy dishes was not spicy at all which was disappointing however the deserts were the biggest disappointment as the lemon cakes didn't have the sour taste of lemon just were sweet and the ice creams tasted weird, the strawberry ice cream tasted like artifical flavoured strawberry and the ice cream itself was more like whipped cream and the vanilla ice cream wasn't any better the same whipped cream consistency and it didn't even taste if vanilla, this place need improvement on deserts because if a customer doesn't have a nice flavour of desert then it looks like the whole meal was not worth it when infact its only the deserts that were not the best
J. C.
Really nice food and the staff alwasy friendly
c. w.
Nice food and good atmosphere , love this place . Recently been for my birthday and was amazing .. well worth the money . All you can eat aswel
A. G.
Fantastic choice great setting great food
P. B.
Good food, busy. Slow for drinks. Great variety of fusion food.
S. C.
We went to Cosmo for a birthday meal with a large group and had a good time. The restaurant was busy when we arrived but we were seated quite quickly. The food was good although the buffet area was very congested with little space. There was a lot of variety in the available dishes and they were all labelled. This was a good value meal.
t. t.
The buffet has all types of food. It has great food. For students its good price during the lunch time. Dinner can be expensive. The cocktails are really good. However there are time limits. I was given 40 min to eat which was a little too short. Not enough tome to enjoy all the food. The service is also really great. All the foods are very good. The lighting is good. Good interior decor. The food is displayed and organised very well. There are lots of room to walk around, so it is not cramped like other world buffets. It's a great buffet to try if you haven't.
K.
Nicest buffet I've been to. Clean. Food is fresh. Only down side which is why I gave 4 instead of five. The side where you would rest your plate is extremely hot. Myself and my daughter both had a little accident when trying to pick up plates. But besides that, it's a nice place.
A. T.
*LUNCH SERVICE ONLY*
Four of us went for lunch at the opening time of 12 and were surprised at how similar the lunch and dinner services are. Very few items from the dinner service are missing (if any) meaning you get a very large selection of Indian, Chinese, Japanese, British, Italian, etc. foods for about £8 instead of over £15. All the food was very nice (my favourite being the honey glazed chicken wings) and plentiful.
Very good value for money.
The staff were very attentive, keeping the place clean and removing plates quickly. There were more guests than I expected at the service but probably not even half capacity so it's very relaxed.
I would highly recommend coming here for a lunch that can easily take the place of your tea later on, especially if you can get a further 10% discount for being in the NHS etc.
k.
Absolutely lovely place to eat, amazing food from all over the world and the staff are very nice and polite eager to help.
L. S.
Food was average at best, slow to replenish the items quickly enough to sample them, the cleanliness of the table was poor. The staff at reception seemed like it was their first day on the job and had an attitude with all guests, however our waitress was very accommodating and made the experience worthwhile. (Anna)
S. M.
Once, it was incredible. Well cooked foods from around the globe with a great array of choice. Now, the choice is minimal, a lot of the food doesn't seem too fresh, like it's been kept warm for too long. It's far smaller than it was and quality has taken a real hit. Staff however are lovely. Very pleasant and polite. The prices are reasonable but prepare to be very underwhelmed.
K. S.
Really good choice of food and high quality. Great staff too!
T. A.
It was a lovely atmosphere. The food was nice. The ice cream and apple crumble was the highlight for me. However the toilet was really dirty. They should have regular hourly checks or so there. Cause it's not nice to come use the toilet and it's not nice, it puts you off your meal.
k. o.
Great food, nice price for pint
S. F. Y.
Absolutely love this place. Incredible selection of foods for a very fair price. The two of us were able to dine in Italy, China, India and France! Unlimited drinks, desserts were included - including 2 chocolate fountains, and the venue itself is gorgeous. Staff are very helpful and polite, it made my birthday super special! It’s got a fine dining vibe for a takeaway price!
A. G.
Loved this place . Friendly staff great food and so much better than the last place.
L. H.
Good quality food. An effecient operation.
S. R.
Go to cosmo and enjoy yourself, it's a place to be, the food the bar the employee's so cool go and see by yourself.... thanks guys see you again.....
B. F.
Some staff were rude! As we were paying the young lady serving us stopped to shout across the room to have a conversation and (banter) with her colleague. Not thank you or acknowledgement. I was not impressed.
Food was okay in my opinion nothing special but not really my kind of eatery in their defence. Floor was slippy in parts. The pizza had a very greasy taste and texture. It was ok. Nothing special .
T. M.
Food choice is fairly extensive and the quality of the offering is fantastic. Great value for money. Very busy. However, Staff are polite but were VERY thorough in making sure we were aware that they were stopping the food service in an hour. To the detriment of our experience unfortunately, as we were told a total of 7 times in 15 minutes. We were done within 40 minutes too! Would go back, but under more relaxed circumstances.
A. D.
I really love buffets and this is definitely the best one I have been to so far! As a picky vegetarian I cna say there is definitely a lot of choice! Only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 is that it gets ridiculously crowded throughout the entire restaurant meaning that even though I prebooked a table, I ended up getting seated an hour after I was due to have my meal
M. C.
Nice food butt u have time and different price
M. g.
Went there for work meal nice place, food is OK. I found it cold in their & toilets was colder
E. N.
Great customer service and lovely food.
J. F.
If I could give half stars then it would be 4.5 stars. It was about 35 minutes after the booked seating time for us to be seated. When we were seated there were a lot of empty tables around us. Perhaps there was a good reason for it! There is a bar at the reception area but it was cramped and under manned. Now that the negatives are out of the way everyone in our group enjoyed the visit to Cosmos. The prices for food are very good, the prices for alcohol are reasonable and non drinkers can enjoy unlimited soft drink. The range of food available is very good and the quality was excellent. The general decor and cleanliness was very good. I will definitely go again.
R. M.
Excellent service. Great staff. Special mention for Jack.
S.
Food wasn't as good as I've experienced at other Cosmo venues.
S. S.
Huge place with lots of seating. Quite a wide variety of Indian, Chinese, Japanese and continental food. Very large variety of deserts available too. Great place for binge eating. The staff were quite courteous with their service. Would definitely recommend, especially for large groups!!
J. B.
Fab love this place food and staff very good .
M. N.
Nice welcoming staff which were very helpful. Food was good lots of variety and culture. However a few things think some deserts tasted and seemed a bit cheap which was unfortunate. Furthure more had to go to the waiting area until a table was availible which was very packed and not enough seating. In conclusion a good buffet experience.
S. A.
Food fab love the fact that you can see into the kitchens. Staff efficient and friendly.
A. S.
The waiting staff in here were really lovely. Slightly too chatty but just really nice. The food is amazing and the range is superb. Definitely something for everyone. Great for kids, parties and large groups. Or just for a couple of people. Amazing restaurant at a reasonable price.
M. G. O.
Happy with the food options. Staff needs more training as the waitress had no idea what drinks, or what she was doing, they tried charging us £3 for service charge which was ridiculous! Also, you have to contantly nag people to clear the way for you as you get your food, because they literally put on table next to another.
R. P.
Lovely atmosphere it looks very modern.
Food is great if you love Chinese as there is plenty of choice for this.
The Pizza was very greasy and there was not much choice for carvery options. Deserts was the best bit with the white/milk chocolate fountain and lots of cakes and ice cream!
Plates are taken away after each course and the staff are very organised and efficient.
P. L.
I can't fault the revamp, the restaurant is put together really well, except the lift wasn't working and for a family with a push chair this wasn't the best start. The staff are lovely but completely out of their depth, we we're waiting 20 minutes for a drink and the same again for the bill both of which we had to ask for twice. The food was average, it was all fried and I didn't think the variation was as good perhaps the advertising lead to believe. There are all you can restaurants both locally and in the region which have a much better selection of food cooked to a higher standard.
R. M.
Food is average. The dessert choice and quality is a joke and the Indian food section is below average. I've tasted better curries out of a jar. Despite having a variety of choices I found myself sticking to only a few dishes. I hope COSMO take this feedback and improve their Indian food and dessert section.
S. H.
We visited for my sons 18th birthday on a Sunday afternoon. The venue is very smart and was clean. The main restaurant is upstairs, they do have a lift for disabled access but this was out of order on the day.
It was very busy so luckily we had booked ahead using the website and our table was all ready for us in arrival.
The variety of cuisines available was excellent but they weren't quick enough to keep it topped up. There were no pancakes for the crispy duck, my sister went for a roast dinner and returned without potatoes as they had run out an asked her to come back in 15 minutes. A lot of dessert trays were empty with labels telling you what delicious things once sat there.
The drink prices were on the pricey side at over £4 for a pint over lager. And £3 for soft drinks (although these were refillable). They also offer table service for drinks and the waitress did her best.
My overall feeling about our visit is the concept is great, the product is great, I just felt they were understaffed. Toilets were not maintained and glasses and plates just piled up on the table because the staff were run off their feet. This happens sometimes so it won't deter me from revisiting. Hopefully it was a one off and they can get on top of things.
J. S.
Selection of food was fine. Some was a bit cold. Very busy and tables were very close together. Staff were great. Would recommend if looking for a cheap and quick lunchtime meal.
a. d.
Always my go to place if I'm travelling through Manchester, usually pretty busy on the night time so book in advance if you want quick entry. I would give the lunch time service a 5/5 stars, because of the price and value factor. Food is tasty and seems to be restocked pretty quickly. Dinner time is less impressive in my opinion, nearly double the cost but without many more dishes. Live food station cooked us food that was chewy and not edible. Therefore, dinner gets a 3/5 (wouldn't come back for dinner).
Overall rating would be 4/5, a must visit at lunch times. Be aware of kids who seem to run riot around the buffet as parents don't seem to care. Nothing staff can do I guess.
K. W.
Visited my last night in Manchester. The food here is excellent. It is buffet style style but the various cuisines allowed my party to sample duck, prawns, 3 types of chicken wings, sweet potato fries, dried seaweed, pizza, cheesecake, ice cream, fudge cake, Apple pie, etc. Everything was exceptional. Staff was attentive and did not rush us.
M. S.
Best Buffet establishment I've been to in a long time.
a. M.
Excellent food well mannered staff...Will go again
P. W.
After having a bad experience with a waiter a year or so ago, I decided to return with my sister.
The management has changed, on my arrival I was met with the new manager Mr. Bartosz, who was polite & friendly.
There’s a good selection of food, good atmosphere, and I will probably go back in the near future.
Thank you Mr. Bartosz and all your staff for a warm/friendly welcome.
S.
I personally love this place. With a large selection of different cultures to choose from, you can fill your stomach as much as you like with just about anything. Each dish, from each culture, felt to me, like i was eating from a restaurant that specialised in that part of the world. The staff are very accommodating with a hands on approach to making sure your table doesn't get to full of empty plates!
S. P.
I loved going COSMO! It's an amazing place for any occasion! The inside is so grand and the food is amazing. However, I do wish there was more food in the afternoon, the staff ate amazing and very considerate. Hope you enjoy your own visits!
H. M.
Amazing food, great variety, plenty of choice and kind staff. Highly recommend
B. D.
Good food, great choice, great atmosphere and good value for money.
n. j.
It is crowded on weekends. Food is not great. We arrived at 2pm. Some of the items were finished. If it's a buffet till 4pm then nothing should be finished. That's not what i expected. Vegetarian options are limited. Only good thing was chocolate fountain. It was quite difficult to identify vegetarian food.
A.
Absolutely amazing. 5 stars from me
F. A.
Fantastic Food, Amazing environment. Had ROSA looking after us the whole time. Brilliant job Rosa, she made us feel as comfortable as possible. We enjoyed every single bit of being there. I would highly recommend to all, either family or friends. Top notch !!!
S. W.
Amazing fresh food with lots to choose from
C. A.
Good value all you can eat buffet. Great selection of different cuisines. As it is an all you can eat place you are not going to end up with the best quality food but you will end up with a lot of it! You will definitely get your money's worth. Great place to stuff your face full of food until you can't move.
D. C.
Really enjoyed my visit and you cannot argue at 2 for 1 Monday to Thursday. I like they do.a bottomless glass of soft drink as well and enjoyed the selection of food. Also if like to thank the young lady Abby who helped me carry my plates as I was struggling to walk she was very pleasant and helpful and even waited and had a nice conversation with me as the food was cooked at the Teriyaki station.
E. M.
Highly recommended buffet. Worth of money
m. b.
Uncomfortable down stairs waiting area much too small, disabled lift out of action means having to climb a large flight of stairs. Young staff messing about laughing instead of clearing tables had to do it ourselves between courses. Nice food but can be a little expensive, unless you eat a lot.
S. C.
Visited with my toddler. Nice experience.
S. K.
One of the best buffets in Manchester comfortably. They invested well in the decor, Food is always good but feel that there isn't enough for selection. Few more dishes in each cuisine need to be added!
N. E.
Great place, very nice food. Chinese is easily the best! Lots of options including lots of English and Italian options, it’s not just Asian. Food for kids as well e.g chicken nuggets and fish fingers.
A few negatives I would say are that the drink menus looked a bit dirty and the bananas in the fruit section looked horrible! Other than that, it was immaculately clean and tidy. Cups, cutlery, plates and food areas very clean.
There was also a lot of confusion with what you actually do from us and other people around us. Would be better to explain to people when people arrive.
For future customers: once you are sat down a member of staff asks what drink you want and then you are able to get your food. You can get as much as you like but you are limited to 1 hour 45 minutes. You pay when you are ready to leave.
We were a walk in with no reservation and were seated instantly.
Will definitely come again!
A. C.
Went here for Sat Lunch so paid £12 + £3.30 for bottomless fizzy drinks.
I love Chinese food so that's basically the area I tackled over the others. There is a lot of choice but the quality just isnt quite there, the sweet and sour sauce a bit vinegary, the chicken/pork on the dry side. It was all just warm, not hot. Lots of sides to choose from, rice noodles, pork hoisin pancakes, fries etc
For afters, smaller choice but still fine. Cake miniatures were hit and miss, some good some weird tasting. The chocolate fountain with marshmallows (I was very excited for) was what I call cheap advent calendar chocolate, and the white chocolate size also more a sweet water. They had a proper ice cream machine, which was the best of the deserts, and chocolate/strawberry ice cream tubs which I didn't try. They also had a few bowls of fruit.
Had very little interaction with the staff, and the instructions they gave were on the light side, do you pay at your table or go somewhere (we ended up paying at the bar) you need your receipt to show to the girl on the door downstairs (again not told).
The little menus and stuff on the table were grim, laminated (which is fine) but the chewed edges and stickiness wasn't great.
Price wise it's fine for what you get. Would I go again? Yes if someone else wanted to try it out, I just wouldn't put it forward as a option myself.
R. L.
It was fine. Just fine. Don't walk into this place expecting gourmet levels of food. It's your average Chinese and Indian you can pick up from a takeaway or even an Aldi lol. The desserts were very limited as well. If your palette is derived of birds eye fish fingers and frozen chips then of course you'd find this place exciting.
The service was great, but maybe I should credit that one male waiter as his attitude and customer service was spot on. Give him a raise. The rest weren't too pleased that we wanted to move tables due to the loud ruckus a family next to us was making. We were also placed next to a window so a freezing draft kept coming through.
If you are a couple and you want a finer experience, fork out a little extra and take your lady out to somewhere more special. If you are a group of family or friends then I'd recommend it. Remember that you are limited by your stomach, not your wallet. So hit up the seafood and meats before you reach for those carbs to get your money's worth.
Price 4/5
Experience 2/5
Atmosphere 1/5
Service 3/5
Food 3/5

Dined with my 6yr old son last evening at Cosmos Manchester for the first time. Lovely atmosphere! Friendly staff! Overall the food was really tasty. 4 stars as I thought the all of the chicken dishes were over cooked besides the peri peri chicken which was served in a sauce. Best buffet pizza we’ve ever had. We had a late seating however food was still refilled up until 10. Deserts were mostly gone maybe that was due to closing time. Overall great spot and will dine again in the future with a much bigger group. Loved the soda refill option as well.
Followed google maps restaurant was easy to find. Just a short walk from Piccadilly, Market Street.
a. v.
I’ve been here a few times, the staff are very friendly which is most important! The manager is nice too. The food is amazing especially the deserts. Such a nice place to eat.. unsure if that is because I’m stoned every time I go. Lol
S. E.
The best world buffet you could actually find in Manchester
S. E.
Been twice in the last month, this place is amazing! Huge variety of food, all clearly labelled and super tasty. Laid out by part of the world, so easy to find what you're looking for and get dishes that go together. Would particularly recommend the Thai chicken balls in chilli sauce.
Also great selection of tiny desserts and a chocolate fountain.
Top notch
H.
I liked the food, it was really good! I didn't like the seating arrangement as there was a family sat at one side which kept blocking the way to get out and in, and they were sitting pretty under the table, should be a 2 person table, not 4 - it felt very packed too, did make me feel uncomfortable.
C. H.
As buffets go, this is one of the best. However be prepared to overeat. They have such a vast selection of various foods. Usual buffet food and food cooked from fresh. The only thing I don't think is nice is the pizza. But they have sushi, pasta, roast dinner all the trimmings, pasta, lasagne,Chinese dishes, Indian curries, meats, rices, chips. Massive variety of desserts. There literally is something to suit everyone in a group. Amazing value. Food is always kept topped up and fresh. Can order drinks including alcohol
J. G.
A good selection, I went with my mum who has a small appetite and doesn't eat much. There's not an option to pay less. I was told that they don't provide jugs of tap water either (even though there were many empty jugs on view behind the bar). I was offered bottled water to buy or a single glass of tap water. I thought that the staff were more attentive/helpful when it was red hot buffet. Clean bright and modern surroundings though.
C. S.
We've been here for a pre-Christmas lunch and we all loved it. It was busy but not busy enough to spoil our enjoyment. The food was truly delicious. Everything I've tasted was sooo good, and I did taste quite a bit :D. There's a great selection of food: Chinese, Indian, British, Italian, continental ...The service was good and they even split our bill. Highly recommended!
M. L.
Great choice of various foods. Service a bit slow downstairs. Some staff friendly. Saturday night is busy but a great meal. Bit more pricey than some others but bigger choice! Well worth a visit
M. B.
lovely place, good food.
C. S.
Great experience, Mike T our waiter made my friends birthday really special and because of that we'll definitely come again. Large amount of types food however not many different pallets of food country wise.
B. F.
I admire this restaurant! They serve good food, they have a rich menu, The cook in that restaurant is well trained, I love a lot eating all their dishes. The dishes are always good, the service towards the clients is good. I visit often this place and I was never discontended. I highly recommend it.
L. M.
Food is great for the price and if you work nearby you get 10% off. Lots of variations of Indian, Chinese, Italian etc plus many desserts. They make their money on the alcoholic drinks, £7 for a glass of red I think is a bit steep... Stick to a soft drink for far better value.

Very busy Saturday dinner (tea) time. The staff kept everything moving though and it meant the food was shifting quick and getting frequently replaced. Fantastic choice of food, something for everyone and is hot and well cooked

I have given 3 stars as it's a middle of the road score but if I could score on different points it would be as follows.
The food would be a good 4* as there is such a great choice of foods from around the world the only minus was the fact I couldn't get any prawn dishes as every time I went it was empty but I'll take that as a sign they were good!
Our waitress ( Nikki I think ) deserves a 5* as we were a party of 25 there for my daughters birthday and it was manic but she kept checking we were all ok and was very attentive.
But the restaurant is just not made for a large party of 25. The tables are so close together that we were all constantly banging into the tables next to us as we were put along a wall in the corner, so I'm sure it was just as annoying for the diners next to us. So for a large party I'd say 1* is definitely fair.
Our party was supposed to be a party of 22 but my cousin and her daughters turned up ( I had invited them and then forgot to amend the numbers! ) and the restaurant floor manager was very accommodating and gave us a booth that was next to us so again that deserves a 5* as squeezing another 3 people into the space we had would have been impossible!
I have to add that I have eaten here a number of times with my daughters and my otherhalf and everything has been great so it just the fact there was so many of us that made it impractical. But apart from the fact it was a tight squeeze everyone had a great night 😊

On arrival it seemed hectic and the girl shouting out guests names was quite rude..if people round in seated area couldn't hear her she struck them off the list...on arrival bought a drink in downstairs bar/entrance...price differed considerably to upstairs???same drink?? Bar man spilled part of drink and didn't think to top it up..
Food however was fantastic....but service at table poor....not extremely busy but failed to collect empty plates. On leaving bill arrived and seemed quite reasonable...however as we wanted to split bill...women at till added up our prices and seemed to add additional £3 to each even though discretionary service charge already added on?? So we got charged a service charge twice?? We were ushered out to make way for staff eating left overs and manager was extremely rude to chefs in front of customers. So good food...reasonable food price but drinks prices varied and staff( inc manager) needs some lessons in customer service....don't think we'll be returning in a hurry

Really nice place to eat. The restraunt is beautifully presented and spotlessly clean. Staff were friendly and attentative, with drinks orders taken quickly and plates cleared away without delay.
The food layout is slightly confusing at first, but everything looked fresh and the dishes I tried were really nice. The only complaint would be if you're looking for a large selection outside Asian then probably best to go elsewhere, as it's standard fair - outside of Asian food and curries, only pizzas, sausages and the usual pasta selection is there.
Still, for the price the food is certainly good and there's plenty to choose from no matter you palette.
I travel a lot and this is the third Cosmo I've tried.....this is the second best so far, and I'll def go back.

Post-lockdown review
Nothing has changed, the tepenyaki chef is the original chef so that's spot on, the Mr Whippy overheats when lots of kids in.
The Squid is still while squid fresh, the turn over was manic due to being so busy.
Pre-lockdown
Cosmo is a 100 fold improvement over Red Hot Buffet, there is a good selection, only niggle I have is that the steak is very thinly sliced so it's almost impossible to get medium rare or rare but the chef does ask and did a reasonable job.
There is the usual Chinese, Indian, Japanese, but also an English carvery section, and a decent salad selection too, the latter is often missing.
There are various ice creams including a Mr Whippy Machine, and a good selection of desserts.
What is good is that the soft drinks are refill, with Vimto, Sunkist Orange, Iron Bru, Cola and Lemonade.

Lunchtime visit: Really beautiful restaurant. Food is excellent. Plates are cold. Lacking choice in Indian and Chinese meals. Only chicken tikka on Indian section and only beef in black bean sauce on Chinese section. Maybe there is more choice on an evening. But all in all it is certainly worth a visit.

Vast array of different food, from Chinese to Indian to roast dinners. If you like it, it's probably there. Prices are somewhat reasonable, although don't expect to be able to eat a lot if you have intolerances (there's not a huge range of dishes for those who do). Everything is helpfully labeled with what it contains, I went during a busy period so the food was always fresh.

WoW! Definitely a place that deserves a return visit. Lovely selection of food
H. K.
We went there when there was a 2 for 1 deal. So it was a steal of a buffet for 15 for 2. Great food great variety. The sweets section had loads to choose from. Also had bottom.less soft drinks for 3 quid which was a steal
A great shout out to the teppinyaki section as it was exquisite. Well done guys. The only reason it's not getting five is because I've seen more variety and better quality in other buffets elsewhere at the same price

Amazing food! So much to choose from and a lovely setting. Staff was so friendly and helpful! Very calm and patient with customers. Would highly recommend
L. P.
Visited Saturday night. Good variety of world wide foods.
Ivy and Caitlin did a great job attending our 8 people table.
Would certainly visit again.
Decor much improved since last visit two years ago.
Onlyvdown side, The table next to us full of young very noisey girls which spoilt the ambiance.
A. G.
Best buffet place we've tried in Manchester. Clean and modern decor, friendly staff. Food quality was good. My only complaint is that the noodle soups were very average and the sushi selection was rather limited. Still a good place that I would recommend and we will be back.
C. R.
Clean place. Waiter service was good, always asking how was everything. Food was okay however some kitchen staff was coughing on the back not covering their mouth and spitting in the sink . Not a very pleasant thing to watch for anybody.

By far the best all you can eat I’ve been to yet.
Quantity and quality of food is superb. Great place atmosphere for both large groups and couples. Only down side was the customer service when eating wasn’t as good as some of the places we’ve eat from recently but not terrible. However bar staff were lovely. Could have a wider variety of cocktails though.
J. W.
I've been there 2 times. Both evenings lack of desserts choice. I think they are not ok with this. Food is tasty and wide choice. Will improve my rating if they will sort issues with desserts availability.
J. W. V. L.
Cosmo food is alright and a lot of variety, large range to choose from. Occasional difficulty parking although there is a side street just around the corner. Get there long before they close because they start taking the food away 15 minutes before they close and also it gives you more time to eat comfortably. Nice surroundings and polite staff
E. C.
Best buffet i ever been to. Amazing fresh food. Big variety. Staff was very nice. So much nicer than previous buffet. Perfect for family outings on any occasion .
O. T.
Great place! Great decor! It would be best that families don't let children wander around the restaurant unsupervised. A saw kids wasting a mountain of ice cream at the ice cream machine.
f. c.
Food is too oily with too much sauce. Varieties are less than others. Price is not low. Fruits are not sweet. Only one type of soup is there but essence is too much.
Ice-cream, though individually packed, is melting. That's might lead to diarrhea as there is doomed to be bacteria.
S. H.
Nice food fantastic selection, didnt dislike one item I chose the tandoori style chicken wings are exceptionally good and I would come again just for those, the refill soft drinks is also a fantastic idea as other places nail your hat on with drinks.
Maybe a child friendly area with lower counters and child favourites (pizza, chips, sausages etc)
M. M.
This is a great place to go if you can't decide what to eat. Great range of different foods, all styles all kinds. The staff are very friendly and there is always plenty of food.
C. g.
Great value for money and a nice place. This was our second visit and as a negative - dare I say that the only thing that lets this all down is the Indian food - awful on both occasions which is a real shame. On a better note, Mike T was very good and we were well looked after.
s. t.
Loved our visit there, lots of food options available the staff were very friendly and most of all my picky eating daughter had so many other options to choose from I could eat my Chinese without feeling guilty she's only had chicken and chips 😂
C. K.
The most amazing buffet I have been to so far. It looks beautiful and from the first moment we weren't sure if we are at the right place because we were expecting the usual buffet setting but thus place surprises with style and enormous variety of delicious food. I would highly recommend the Sushi and the mini eclairs :)
D. M.
Amazing food and great atmosphere
C.
Abit like tops just has a couple of different things.. can tell the food is standard.. but a nice night out for a date or with family and friends.. kids eat cheaper if under a certain height. Friendly staff.. chocolate machine wasn’t working when I last went..
R.
Food was ok, alot of choice from a range of different cuisines eg italian, indian and chinese etc.. although not too much choice if veggie. my friend struggled to find veggie stuff esepcially at carvery...only veggie stuff that was there was the veg, didnt offer stuff like nut roast, mushroom and ale pie etc like toby carvery do.
The waiting on staff was friendly.didnt have to wait but we did book in advance.
The price, nearly 20 pound for a buffet..bit expensive for what you got in my opinion.but was night time in manchester so it is too be expected.
Very clean, good range of deserts.
Probably wouldnt go again in the evening as dont think the price justified food quality but may consider returning in afternoon if it was cheaper.
J. W.
Great selection and food tasted great. Some foods were pretty cold when we got them and some foods were quite stale/dry as if being sat for a while. I think there could be a little better care taken towards the safe storage of the food.
M. S.
Great idea of different cuisine in one place, you can try everything, eat as much as you can😉 Some of dishes were very nice, unfortunately some of them are not really hot but that’s the cons of buffet. I’ve been there on Sunday evening and it was very busy and not very clean, toilets were nightmare🙈
m. 1.
The food was nice, There is a lot to choose from. The staff are polite and they was very helpful 😊
R. B.
Great food. Customer service was lacking. Was told 2 for 1 on all cocktails which was in fact only on selected cocktails. Also when paying there was a mix up and staff were rude. Overall good food experience but poor customer service.
C. H.
Great selection of food that tastes really good. Staff were friendly and helpful.
K. S.
Fantastic! From the moment my partner & I walked through the doors, the customer service was great til we finished our food and drinks. The variety of food was crazy, almost hard to choose from, very tasty and lots of options for added taste/spice. I'd very much recommend this place to everyone.. Will be coming back again for sure!! :)
D. A.
COSMO Replaced the red-hot buffet that was in the same place.
This is a nice upgrade, and the range of food is really impressive although maybe not a strong as previously... Especially with deserts.
The quality of the food was good, however a couple spicy items would be good. There is a fairly basic drinks selection, but unlimited soft drink refills. The prices are good, especially for kids.
The venue was a little cold, despite the large number of people inside which was a little annoying.
N. O.
There's a good variety of foods on offer, English, pizza, Chinese, Indian and sushi. The food is good, not excellent, the sauces in the mains are a bit watery. But overall the choice gives most people something they like, so 5 stars for variety.
d. s.
Great food. Did have to ask for a drink a few times as it was busy. Dessert area could do with restocking more frequently but other than that it was really good
n. c.
Good value and really nice food, booked for 28 people, seats quickly in a nice separate area. The only thing to let ut down was the confusion over other tables payments , even though ours was paid at the bar all together staff followed us in to the street asking for receipts with table numbers as another large group had not paid in full.
A. G.
Red hot was 5, this one is 4. They lack the openness in space that red hot had. Items are good and I really liked their bottomless drink option. Gets really busy in the evening. A rating of 4 star, though still better than other concurrent same type world buffet like Tops, Peachy keen etc
S. D.
Very nice you will be stuffed
L. B.
Amazing, the buffet itself is high quality and quantity but the real star of the show is the cooking stations! The carvery always has fresh moist meats and vegetables up for grab the miso soups can be made to your standards and even customized teppanyaki is available! I highly recommend to anyone with a taste of the east not just Chinese food and Indian but all over Asia!
A. O.
The food is so nice and there is soo many different foods to choose from all around the world
S. P.
Very good and Tasty food 😁
J. W.
We recently went for a mother's day meal and really enjoyed the food. The only slight minus was the chaotic service and mix up with our table even though we'd booked beforehand. However this may have been down to how busy they were and it wouldn't put us off going again as there was plenty of choice and the counters were well stocked
x.
Really good food here. Went for lunch with a mate and they had loads to choose from, however they didn't have some stuff (e.g. Dim Sum, live grill etc) and I would like to go in the evening to try the other food!
R. C.
Very busy, but also very cramped... Bad sewage smell as you walk in... Had to use a tea spoon for the soup because they ran out of soup spoons... Very little selection for Italian food, broken ice cream machine... Then they had the nerve to hand us the bill without us asking for it, but to top it off, you have to PROVE that you paid when you get downstairs
Red Hot buffet was a lot better, and the food Was hot there... Not sure I'll be back in a hurry, stick to Peachy Keen in the Printworks
C.
Wowee really enjoyable experience. Food is delicious and the variety is stunning. Very busy but this does not effect food volume plenty for everyone to go around countless times. I highly recommend.
P. H.
Cosmo...fantastic, from the second we arrived, with no reservation...we where treated brilliantly, quickly shown to a table, despite the fact they where having a very obviously busy night
Drinks service was right after, cocktails, beers, wines and spirits all available, for the budget conscious bottomless soft drinks. Yes bottomless for £2.99. Literal steel
The food is everything you expect and more, with plenty being made fresh to order. Japanese, Indian, British and more all included in the set price per person deal.
Prices range from £7.99 to £15.99 depending on the day and time with even further discounts for kids under a certain height.
S. S.
It was very nice the food was very good and the staff were hard working and very polite, the two men running the restaurant were both excellent in work rate and manners. The toilets were very clean and you would have got ten out of ten but the dinner plates were cold, that said very nice thanks
A. v.
One of the best buffets in Manchester. Wide range of delicious food, nice service. Tables are a bit to close to each other. I feel better when there is a bit of privacy. You can here others conversations.
D. C. O.
Eat all you can at an affordable rate 👌
k. l.
Me and my partner always go to Cosmo for our anniversary. As it is the place where I purpose, we love the food, the staff are very patient and polite and it always seem safe to eat there as in hygienically never had a problem with bookings. And great prices
M. A.
Food was hot and cooked properly. Food tasted good.
The range was different from my local Cosmo but I didn't find any problems with the current selection.
Great decor.
j. s.
Visited here many times food is very nice and lots of choices. Staff work very hard. However the toilets had no water has taps were broken which is not very gud.
M. s. T.
Qaulity of food has dropped drastically compared to the early days when they opened opening days. Some foods have been removed from the menu such as lamb curry. Also prices have increased £16.99 per adult and £3.30 per refillable soda pop glasses. For this kind of price i would expect specific chossen menu orders and table services.
L.
Veggie options are limited and not signposted well. They have signs by each food which stated it's allergy info but not if it's suitable for vegetarians. Not as good as Red Hot World Buffet. Feels like they've made the buffet part smaller and crammed more tables in. I have been a couple times though because the food itself is good
M. G.
Food - there is a great choice, some of the dishes could have done with a bit more flavour.
The service I would say was poor, we were seated and told someone would take our drinks order but had to ask 10mins later, also diet coke was lacking in favour asked someone to check the sirup.
P. C.
Staff are friendly and an asset to the place. Very clean and presented nicely. Unfortunately a lack of veggie options at breakfast means you're either eating toast, hash browns and mushrooms or tinned fruit.
E. M.
Awesome buffet place. Has literally everything one's heart may desire: from sushi and Beijing duck to pizzas, pies, sausages, fish and even a chocolate fountain ;). 16 quid for unlimited dinner and I believe cheaper than that for lunch. Closes relatively early.
T. T.
The restaurant interior is beautiful and the quality and variety of food is good, sadly the staff can’t keep up when the restaurant is busy. The night I went was very busy and a lot of the dishes were empty. The dessert bar was almost completely empty. Hopefully this will improve once the staff learn how to keep up with the customers.
J. W.
Reasonably priced, refillable soft drinks, not alot of choice for fussy eaters, especially when it comes to desserts (would love to see just some basic things like chocolate cake, jam Roly poly). My youngest loves it here, think she likes being able to chose exactly what she wants and how much, five stars from her!
J. B.
Overall experience was pretty good, food was decent but not spectacular but for the price you can't expect too much! Chicken in black bean was a favourote betwren the 5 of us. Good for a quick meal when you're out in Manchester.
i. m. N.
The food was great, it varied hugely. From indian curries to Japanese sushi and British Calvary, they have it all. The staff make a huge effort to make us enjoy our experience. The new tastes entised my tastebuds and I'd definitely recommend it and go again. Manchester is huge and has lots of buffets. This one stands out. The food it fresh and the place gives a friendly atmosphere. Since a little moving about is required to get food, you are given the opportunity to socialize with other people - including the staff. The waiting room gets quite full and it took quite an effort to get a pram into the buffet and out of it. If you've not ever really tried food's from other places you'd love this. I hope you enjoyed reading and enjoy your meal!!
