Enjoyable place to eat, proper italian food. Loved the simple decoration. The pizza was good and my pasta al salmon was to die for, the croquettes were too fatty for me expected them to be just simple, couldn't eat them as the pasta dish was big portion. Definitely worth trying

Customer service is excellent, I had booked then changed then cancelled a table once and they were so understanding, then I rebooked for another early evening and took my daughter, just brilliant. Ever member of staff was doing there best to give you a great dining experience... The food.. ok, well... Amazing, really, perfectly cooked fish, fresh vegetables, succulent meats... I am going back for a pizza very very soon, so much more than a typical Italian. Would recommend to anyone.

From the waiting staff to the food. You won't be disappointed in visiting this lovely place. We took a trial visit for my partners birthday and we weren't disappointed with anything. Even The cocktails were beautiful. Thank you for a lovely evening. Save room for deserts they are gorgeous!!

You like Italian? I highly recommend that you visit Mezzaluna. The food is fabulous. Try the Tomato and Basil brucetta then the Carbornara. Amazing.

Food was very good and reasonably priced. Staff lacked experience in my opinion , came back 3 times to check drinks order. Main meals served to 4 of the party of 6 Pizza's for the other 2 guests arrived approximately 15 minutes later !! Seemed like a lack off co-ordination between chef's. We went to Mezzaluna again after a while and alot has changed. The restaurant has been redecorated with new colourful floor tiles and lovely displays of flowers and decorations. The lighting is used in good effect to highlight areas. Much improved on the drab interior it used to be. The pizzas are also much improved with a brilliant crispy crust but also a sourdoughness, a bit like a cross between Roma and Napoli styles. It works though and I really enjoyed my pizza that had nduja and buffalo mozzarella. Perfect seasoning, and could be eaten satisfyingly by hand without too much mess. We had a side of mixed roast veg which was sweet and very delicious. My wife had a Slattery cheesecake desert, which tasted a bit like a panacotta but in a good way, it was incredibly creamy, lemony and morish. I had an americano which was excellent too.

Tuscan chef makes a really nice Romana pizza which is a rare luxury in Manchester. Chicken wings are nicer than at other local venues. Ribs are also very nice.

Great service, fab communication before sending copies of the menu, friendly without being too overbearing. Food was served quickly and was hot and tasty. Heard they did a decent pizza so headed up mid week with a group of good friends. Some of us tried the half metre share pizzas which were generous and delicious; good wine selection too. Both food and service didn't disappoint, we were well looked after throughout the evening. Easy parking across the road but also on bus and tram route. By far the best pizza I've had in a long time, would definitely recommend.

Enjoyed a cheesy garlic pizza and a sharing fish platter as a main course, finished off with a pint of Italian lager in the eating area outside. It was even better with the 50% off due to the eat out to help out deal! Friendly polite staff and tasty food in a socially distanced environment, what more could you ask for?

Lovely Italian restaurant. Very bustling and busy, but nonetheless able to give a personal touch. The servers were really friendly and accommodating, the atmosphere relaxed and informal. The food was great. I had the Bolognese which was delicious. Highly recommended. Park for free on Lily Hill Street car park, very close by, behind the Cross Keys Pub.

Desert menu is also top notch, I can recommend the hot brownie and ice cream. The children's deserts are also great, hot fudge cake especially worth a mention.

I know it's hard at the minute to get out and enjoy a meal however, I can highly recommend Mezzaluna. The food is gorgeous and I had the lobster ravioli which was delicious. There is a great selection of food for all. The staff are very helpful and the atmosphere was pleasant. We did not have to wait long for service and we will visit this place again.

We go for a pizza here every week. This week we had family over and took them too. Everyone commented on how good the food was, what a decent price it is and how brilliant the service is. I guess we had taken having such a god place nearby for granted, and we shouldn't, we used to drive 6 miles for a pizza before this place opened. I would defo recommend.

We absolutely love Mezzaluna! It is a fantastic addition to Whitefield and we have thoroughly enjoyed every visit. The food is delicious and very reasonably prize. The wine list is also extensive and we have ever had any problems with service. Staff are all warm and friendly. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Best pizza in north manchester by a long shot. The oven itself is a sight to behold, a real work of art. There is no pizza in the local area that comes close, and the staff are wonderful. Although I visit here at least once a week, yesterday was a true test- I brought my mother, who is famously known for walking out of restaurants because “she doesn’t like the look of the place”. We all breathed a sigh of relief when we heard the magic words from her “this place is fantastic!” Trust me, knowing my mum, that is the best review a restaurant is ever likely to receive! Great quality food, fantastic service and very well priced.

When my family asked where I would like to go to celebrate my birthday I chose this place, 1. Because it's new(ish) and untried, 2. Because every time I drive through Whitefield it seems to be the only place that's relatively full, which to me is a good sign. Sure enough tasty food, good friendly service, reasonable prices, took time to have a lark with the kids. Only negative was tables too close together so every time the table behind got up (kids so quite a few times!) they banged into me. Will definately return.

Went with family for the first time since it opened and sat in rear open air walled in garden area which was very pleasant in the fading sun. Food choices were excellent and we shared arancini balls with mushroom, baked camembert and garlic mushrooms all of which were simply delicious and not too strong in taste. We didn't have enough toasted bread sticks to dip in the lovely runny camembert and reordered some more. This took a long time to come and when chased ended up getting some plain sliced bread in a paper bag (...not needed just yet!). Whilst this was very nice, soft and seemed to be baked on the premises it wasn't what we expected. For mains we ordered salmon, sea bass, a pizza and a pasta dish for mains as well as a child's pizza which was much bigger than normal child size but welcomed by our growing 10 year old ! Our salmon main course was much larger than the single sea bass fillet served in an oily sauce with lemon and orange pieces which was a tad tangy. Both fish dishes were the same cost so felt a little "hard done by" with my sea bass but at £10 you get what you pay for and once supplemented with side orders of tenderstem broccoli and skinny chips fried in truffle oil this helped to fill a hungry tummy ...and alleviated the fish's tangy taste ! The pizza and pasta dishes were very filling and the taste and texture of both were spot on. Who can resist Italian desserts and ice cream so we ordered them too. By the time they were served the food had settled and we were feeling we shouldn't have ordered any. The tiramisu was great although a bit thick and clacky on the palate. Our other serving of only 2 small baileys profiteroles with loads of cream was a bit 'measly' for £4.50. I felt the need to "help" my daughter with her Italian ice cream which had a really nice texture..... Total bill with a drink each came to £100 which was fair for 3 adults a growing teenager and a 10 year Overall the meal was lovely especially being able to sit outside too. Service was in the main very good. The "drum and bass" background music was a bit boring and given the average age of the clientele around 40-50+ a more jazzy choice might have been better. We enjoyed a lovely evening out celebrating the other half's birthday ...I'd recommend it and intend to visit again.

Teething problems with this new restaurant. There has obviously been significant investment in refurbishment and design and a fab menu but all seems to be style over substance at the moment. Overcooked lamb cutlets and crab cakes that were more like hockey pucks and appeared to be made from crab sticks rather than fresh crab. New staff not trained offered desert before main course and then 3 times after main course by 3 different members of staff. Requested piece of lemon to go with fish that never arrived. In its defence there were 2 large parties in and they were struggling to cope so will give it a couple of months to settle down and try again.

Went to Mezzaluna to celebrate my mother's 50th last night; the staff were very helpful, friendly, welcoming and professional, the food was amazing and the speed of service was fantastic. Rustic, fairly basic Italian with a limited choice of dishes. It was very busy over Christmas and staff seemed stretched so not reading too much into that. The Prosecco and sauvignon blanc were surprisingly good for the prices. Garlic sourdough bread seemed entirely lacking in garlic apart from a small squiggle of buttery appearance near the middle. The pasta mains were actually very tasty and the kids enjoyed their pizzas. Fair prices.
