K. R.Called in on our way back up into town. Slice of Pollo al’aglio (slow roasted garlic chicken) was delicious. Dough was light with a super crispy base. San Mozano tomato sauce was flavoursome without being too sweet. Good meat to cheese ratio and not a drop of grease in sight. Pizza was so good I felt the need to go back in to congratulate the guys for nailing it. Wished we had gotten a whole pizza to take home!! Would deffo call back for further taste sensation, at £2.50 per slice it’s a steal.
M. H.The best neapolitan style pizzas I ever had delivered! Pizzas are sold by the slice, 4 slices make up 14" pizza, about £2.50 per slice at the time of writing. The choice is classic Italian pizza ingredients, see menu. The slices are so big only 2 will fit in a box at a time! Loved it so much, devoured all 14" of pizza! Will be my go to for pizza. Highly recommended!

J. H.Impressed with their reputation, I had to try this place twice to confirm the pizza is nothing special. On the positive side, they are very fast and offer good value for smaller portions, but there are much fresher and more flavoursome tasting pizzas available from many places in Newcastle. I tried three different slices and had never felt so disappointed by pizza as I was with each of them.

Fresh dough, quality toppings at pocket change prices and not forgetting the great customer service they provide. The staff were friendly, the pizza was ready quickly and well priced. Ö. O.We bought 4 different kind of pizzas at the same time. They were ready in just 5 minutes. The dough was delicious and the content had quality. However, while eating the pizza, it was pretty hard to feel the presence of cheese, hence I felt like I was eating some cooked tomatoes on a hot pizza dough. The chicken pizza was really weak, It was so few that I could even count each single chicken meat particles by my finger. Lightning speed, hot, quality ingredients but unsatisfactory in composition, hence the unsatisfactory result.

Edit (reply to comment): Haha fair enough! It's probably due to covid, but somewhere to sit, close by, would be ideal! We went down to Ouseburn to eat ours which isn't end of the world, but I would probably order more if I was just outside/inside. I guess most of the area outside is full of people waiting which is fair enough! Just a thought!

They have great looking calzones also I can’t wait to go back and try. Location wise, the pizzeria was filled with great pictures and furniture. It was very inviting. The man working was a man of few words. Maybe he was busy or maybe cause I was a newbie going there. Regardless it doesn’t take away from how good the food is.

Not only is the owner (Ginger Jimmy) a lovely lad but he’s a very talented chef with years of experience so watch this space for more to come from him! The cakes he serves are amazing too and you can see he trained with the best at the Ritz in London and you might see his deserts on a few restaurants menus in Newcastle as he supplies to a lot of them...

The service is amazing, staff are lovely and friendly & Mr Gingerino is a pleasure to talk to, enthusiastic, informed & dead canny as they say around these valleys.
It's worth passing by for a slice if you're out for a drink, a walk, or any old occasion. It's even better if you stop by for a full pizza all for your self, either way this is the place to be. It's a belter!

J. Y.We called in for lots of reasons and were absolutely delighted. Gingerino's was recommended to me by Google as a good 'fit' with the sort of food I like; surprisingly it was true Haha! The reviews I read for Gingerino's are all excellent. We wanted somewhere for a light meal/snack in the early afternoon on our way from Home Bargains in Byker to Gosforth. I know the Ouseburn area pretty well and how it has changed, mostly for the better, over the past 40 or so years. And......we are Gingers!
The pizzas we had were exactly as we like. Authentic Italian style thin and crispy, stonebaked, with high quality and simple fresh toppings. I'm pretty sure they'll make whatever you want if they've got the ingredients to hand. Don't think though thick cheese fillled crust 'Chicago style' all you can eat, buy one get one free is on the menu.
An absolute treasure and a breath of fresh air. We love you Gingerino's xxx
