Some of the best pasta I’ve ever eaten for £12.50, the waiter was incredibly friendly without being overbearing and the overall vibe is great for anything from a date to a family meal out. Definitely come here for an authentic Italian restaurant with incredible food. Don’t usually write reviews so this says something.

After reading the positive reviews, we knew we had to try this place, and we weren't disappointed. The staff were superb, and place was busy and popular, always a good sign. The food was on par with some of the best Italian food we've had in this country. I chose the calamari and calzone, my partner had the bread & olives and the steak. The portion sizes are more than generous, so much so much we had no room for dessert. I would definitely recommend this place, but I would advise booking in advance.

Very cosy and reasonably priced Italian restaurant. The staff were amazing! We ended up waiting a little while for our mains (due to a new chef, can't be helped), which we weren't bothered about, but our lovely waitress went out of her way to get us a free bottle of wine. So kind! Food was very yummy and worth the wait. Would come here again. 😁

This resturaunt is an absolute no-brainer. Me and my girlfriend went for a late lunch and even though the place wasn't very busy the atmosphere felt incredibly welcoming and charming. We opted for the very reasonablely priced happy hour deal and shared a bottle of the in-house red wine which was phenomenal. Portion size was great and definitely worth a lot more than what we paid for, the starters looked like mains! Service was incredible and the staff were joking with us wich led to a great and entertaining experience. When the Pizza came we were told "good luck" as even the waiter could tell it was huge. It was the perfect pizza with the right amount of everything leading to the perfect bite with every slice. Couldn't reccomend more. If you're umming and arring about this place give it a go and you'll be as blown away as I was.

After reading the reviews on google about the restaurant I decided this would be the place to try for a special annual event for my wife and myself. Decorated modernly and a comfortable feel when dining, polite staff, great food and reasonably priced to top it off. The Restaurant is easy enough to find and right in the city centre. The size of the restaurant is good as even if it were full it wouldn’t be overcrowded. The food was tasty, well sized and presented exactly as it should. Easily the best calzone I’ve had to date! Despite my picky order of moving ingredients in/out from the standard. All in all a good choice for anyone wanting to go for a meal or special annual event. Thank you for living up to what everyone else had said about their visit. We’ll be back again!

I came here in summer with my boyfriend and it is the best pizza either of us have ever had. We went for the happy hour deal and got a starter too. The bruschetta and potato skins are beautiful and I will definitely be going back if I’m back in Newcastle every again. It’s so affordable and amazing food. I’d recommend this place to anyone in the area. The waiter was friendly and the atmosphere was very welcoming. The house red was very affordable and tasted amazing. The portion sizes are so generous that the waiter said ‘good luck’ as he placed the pizzas on the table. I wish I could add the photos but google isn’t letting me :(

We had a family celebration at Topolino's after my son received his PhD. I cannot praise the restaurant highly enough. They happily rearranged tables to accommodate us all. The food was delicious throughout and served promptly and professionally The staff were simply wonderful. Engaging, considerate, and helpful - from booking a taxi for us, to taking photos , to making us all laugh. They made the meal a real celebration. Superb. I can't wait to visit again.

I booked a table for 3 and my friends were late arriving. When I walked in I felt so comfortable and welcome. In particular, a waitress gave me a hug to reassure me that it was more than ok for me to wait. The waiter at the bar was a real gent and made me feel comfy. Opened for just over a year we must have walked past this place dozens of times and not noticed it🤔 Booked for 6pm before seeing We Will Rock You at Theatre Royal and while it was pretty empty at 6 certainly filled up by 7. Starter of goat's cheese, beetroot and tomato was tasty and light and sweet of panacotta also lovely. Pizzas were huge and while my ham and mushroom was good Daz had a bolognese pizza which was very rich and sloppy in the middle so he wasn't as keen. Decent range of wines and beers. Staff were pleasant and efficient and place was clean and inviting.

Food is lovely with a great value early bird offer and al la carte choices. The restaurant is comfortable with nice decor. Our table was booked for 19:30. The waiter argued that the table was only for 10 people but I explained it was for 12. It got to the point I had to show him the email confirmation. He then said could we wait outside as there wasn’t room for us to stand inside the restaurant. It was raining heavily outside so that was far from ideal. We waited outside for around 15 minutes until we eventually were allowed to sit down at 19:45. I would have given one star based on this but the food was excellent and the service after the initial wait was very good.

Had a great meal with friendly staff. A good night was spoiled by the male waiter who, when I attended the bar to pay the bill assumed I was leaving without paying. He said where do you think you are going. When he saw my credit card he just said Oh. No apology. So for that reason I won't be going back. Ironic I could actually buy the restaurant.

Stopped here for dinner on a Monday evening. It was fairly quiet and the waiter was friendly. I think the ambience is quite nice, prob better for a couple than three lads though. Prices are reasonable but my lasagne was pretty flavourless which was a tad disappointing for an Italian “staple”. We stumbled upon Topolino whilst looking for an Italian restaurant for a colleagues birthday whilst travelling for work. My companions ordered garlic bread starters and where very pleasantly surprised when they received delicious pizza sized breads. I ordered calamari which was perfectly cooked and served with a mild garlic mayo. My main course was a really well balanced seafood linguine whilst my colleges had opted for a pizza and a calizone both of which were fantastic but defeated then on quantity. Overall we a had a fantastic evening.
