Well, what a lovely jewel , I love Italian food. This place is family run. Its , without meaning to be rude, a little out dated inside, but in some way adds to the charm of the place, but the food was absolutely delicious, I highly recommended this place. The charm of the decor & food go together very well. Some times you don't kneed all these up to date modern decorated venues, just a great atmosphere & very good food 👌 🥰

Booked a table for my husbands birthday, early bird menu looked good....we made our order...asked the older gentleman if the mains came with salad extra...his reply was very passive aggressive....non of us felt welcomed by him.....portions small, food average. Quite disapointing. Restaurant very dated.....the lady also there was very friendly , polite and welcoming. Unfortunately we will not be visiting again. I have never left a review like this before so feel like i am disrespecting the restaurant and staff....however i am just sharing our experience as honest as i can.

Music was a little loud which raised the volume of chatter to be heard above it BUT the best Italian meal we have had in a long time. Steaks, fish dishes and carbonara were all excellent ! Service was good and we will not hesitate to return soon !!

Lovely local family run italian, friendly staff and good service. This is not a high end restaurant but food is good quality and better value than many rivals. Restaurant had a really cosy homely feel to it that you would never get in any of the chain restaurants. Was really quite busy on the thursday evening we went in which is a good sign yet staff coped with ease.

Beautiful decor and atmosphere with lovely music. Staff were very attentive and professional. Food portions were fantastic and the food itself was excellent, absolutely enjoyed it. We really had a good time and value was perfect, easily. Getting to have cassata ice cream after so many years was a real pleasant and delicious surprise for me too! I love this place, it is a family run authentic Italian with delicious food at a great price. My partner and I both had 3 courses and we shared a litre bottle of red wine which only came to approx. £70 - £35 a head!

Decidedly average I'm afraid. Menu unimaginative, decor dated, dessert menus need retiring and replacing. Food average, service ok, meals came out at different times, not offered parmesan. When you reflect you had better pasta cooked at home....why pay for it.

Fantastic value food, superb service and a great atmosphere. This restaurant serves excellent pasta dishes as well as meat courses such as steak, chicken and pork. I recommend it for a laid back meal in the week or a special occasion enjoyed in a lively atmosphere at weekends.

Delicious food. Has a real family business vibe to it. I had the bruschetta followed by the bistecca al pepe nero (sirloin with peppercorn and brandy sauce) and honestly the sauce is probably the best I’ve ever had. Seasonal veg served separately was also perfectly seasoned and delicious. My partner enjoyed her carbonara and my mum was also very complementary about the sauce that came with her chicken. Fairly loud inside but I quite like that, it felt cosy. Will definitely come again.

Old fashioned and traditional atmosphere which is great if that's what you want - we quite liked it. Speedy service on a Monday evening which was good. Food portions are all over the place, I had lasagne which was like a child's portion and my friend had an absolute mountain of carbonara. But all tasted great. Service started off friendly but was quick to turn when we declined having any dessert/coffee after the meal. We wanted a quick, easy and well-priced weeknight meal but felt judged for not having three courses and wine. As soon as we said we wanted the bill, the older man and the waitress exchanged a look to each other, rolling their eyes and muttering in what I assume was Italian. We quickly paid and left. I understand restaurants want you to spend more money as a customer, especially after the pandemic, but we were made to feel very uncomfortable. I would understand if it was a busy Friday or Saturday evening and we were taking up space that could be filled by people having multiple courses and drinks - but we weren't. Nobody else came in whilst we were there and there were plenty of free tables. I would love to return but if there are certain expectations and pressure on how much I spend then I won't be.

Brilliant experience, we went for the early bird dinner, the food was fantastic both mine and my partners starters were great, he had the pork main which was so soft and delicious and I had the lasagna which was very tasty and rustic plus the house wine was nice too. Would definitely go back and definitely reccomend this place to go to.

Been here lots of times. Was slightly disappointed last night we had the special which was mussels nice but not as much as last time. They were absolutely delicious last time. The manager could do with a lesson in manner also. There was no eye contact at all when the bill was paid. Very frustrating 😕

Food tastes nice, authentic and homemade. Not pretentious at all. The ambience and setting is also very cute and romantic. However, waiting staff lack some experience. Every time I asked for suggestions from two different waiters, they said “i don’t know!”, “I like all!” .

Busy at weekends so expected wait on food and drinks at times but the staff are accommodating. 4 stars due to the fact there is so many tables in a small space and at times not enough staff. OMG awesome. Went on Sat evening and had pasta as really wanted Italian the 4 others in my party ordered steaks which they raved about so I tried my husband's and felt cheated my pasta was amazing but the steak was even better so went back this evening and had fillet steak with pepper sauce and did not need a steak knife could have cut with a plastic fork and the flavours were delicious. Veg all cooked to perfection also Great flavours not just boring veg. Great staff Luigi Rima Lucy and chef. Lovely atmosphere. Hope to visit again soon keep up the good work guys. Would highly recommend this restaurant

Excellent authentic italian food. I really enjoyed the vegetarian options (minestrone, penne all'arrabbiata). The pasta was cooked to perfection. Also, generous portions and very reasonable prices. The zuppa inglese (cake) was amazing! Highly reccomended and worth all the way from Leicester!

Probably one of the best Italian restaurants ever! A real gem in a place I never would have thought. The pasta pomodoro was excellent. The veal was tender with a creamy sauce that was mouth-watering. And the Putanesca was better than anything I've had in Italy. Very authentic, gruff, but big-hearted owner and very attentive and helpful staff.
