Was absolutely amazing! Staff were super friendly, attentive and helpful when I asked for recommendations about what type of pasta to have (as it was my first visit). I had the king prawn pasta with tagliatelle, and the cheese and garlic foccachia - the pasta was one of the best dishes I've had in months! I will definitely be going back soon, to try out their other dishes

Solo Grano, the best Italian restaurant in Nottingham. I’ve been to it countless times, and the Napolitana pizza has never failed me. It was always exactly right, and as good as the last time. The coffee there is awesome and always spot-on. The place itself is cozy and the staff are all amazing, welcoming and very nice to be around. Definitely my go-to in Nottingham.

One of the best authentic Italian restaurants. Tried the pizza and pasta and was just perfect. Ended with an amazing calzone as dessert! Many vegetarian options for people looking for Halal, just make sure to remove the alcohol. Staff were all amazing and helpful. I am updating my review from 5 stars to 3 stars today on the 27 March 22 since I am not happy that the waitress charging me again for a wrong order! I asked if the chicken was halal and he said no, then I ordered a pasta and he told me it had pork and he said he can remove, the pasta them came with chicken so I told him to remove the chicken if possible, he got my a new order and charged for it.

After I read the reviews on the internet, I thought that I discovered a gem. But was not really like this. The place is quite limited, there is no much space inside and only few tables outside. The staff was very friendly, but they forgot to bring me the water, can happen, I am ok with this. They don't serve any alcohol. The pasta with shrimps was very generous, well cooked, but lacking a bit more love, probably adding a bit more seafood or cooking the heads of the shrimps in the sausce will give it more flavour, but was good. The shock came with my recent takeaway pizza that was very burned. The taste was ok in general, nothing fancy. I give them 3 stars for the whole experience, but if you like Italian food, I do recommend you to visit them, that pasta was not bad at all.

I had dinner here recently and really enjoyed my food. The carbonara was creamy and tasty, and was a generous portion size. Prices were moderately priced, and you do get what you pay for. The reason I’m only giving this place 4 stars was because the seating area was small and we had to sit in barstools, which made eating a little uncomfortable. The setting would probably be fine if you were on a quick lunch break, but it’s not ideal for longer dinner outings. All in all though, a nice place that I will be visiting again!

What a great place 😊 The food was outstanding and one of the best Italian food I've ever had. The dough and pasta freshly made, great choice of drinks and heavenly delicious desserts. Unfortunately there was no tiramisu already but I have an excuse to go back there. A tiny minus for the customer service. We have been waiting ages for drinks and meal (it was only us at that time, not in rush hours), we got dishes we didn't order, we had to ask couple of times when we'd get our meals, the waitress forgot about our drinks... This was September 2020 and I hope the service is a lot better now. Good location, very cosy, nice decorated place too however if all table are occupated then it's very loud and it's hard to keep the conversation at the table, it was a bit like in bee hive and a bit claustrophobic.

Incredible. I’ve been meaning to try this place for a while as I can always smell it from miles away. Finally gave it a go late week while in town. Super friendly and attentive staff. Small and cosy upstairs for a romantic dinner! I went with a couple of friends after work and was amazed by the fast service for a table on a late sunday evening. Everyone was super friendly and we all shared our meals, from the pizza to the pasta and defiantly try the tiramisu! It was so yummy! They had a lot of menu options and i would really recommend this place, we can't wait to go back and we are already planning it! You won't be disappointed :)

This place is genuinely incredible and I can't say enough good things about it. I've eaten here regularly and am yet to be disappointed. The food is top quality- I've since eaten at similar places and the quality of the ingredients here just really stands out to me and is a significant cut above most Italian food you can get on a reasonable budget here in the UK. The food aside, what really keeps me coming back has always been the staff. They're genuinely excellent- extremely friendly in a natural way and the whole atmosphere is just warm and wonderful. By far the best coffee I've had in Notts too .

Tried this place for the first time, ordered one of the pasta dishes. Great unique taste, well priced, well presented and a decent portion size. Took approx 15mins from ordering for my order to be ready during a busy period which isnt bad to say it was all made fresh

I really love this place. Good attention to detail, they polish the cutlery before setting the table, the pizza is served on a wood plate, the music is true typical Italian, staff is extremely polite and accommodating. Of course, the pizza is top quality, like in a good pizzeria in Italy. The topping is properly prepared and the dough is light and crispy.

Absolutely fantastic! By far the best italian I've had in notts; good prices, fantastic food and even better service. A friendly family atmosphere in a little hole in the wall resteraunt. On top of this, the best coffee in the city. Food wise, I recommend the smoked aubergine and the garlic bread; while normally a pretty mundane item the garlic bread here is truly mindblowing. This place is mainly a takeaway, but you can sit in and eat as I did. The plates and cutlery are plastic which isn't a problem as you'll probably be taking it away anyway. The only downside is that the straws are paper. I'd suggest they keep a set of plastic straws available for disabled people who require them. As for the food, I couldn't fault it. It was fantastic, and the ratio of pasta to everything else was perfect.

Always cycle past Solo Grano after work and it always smelt amazing so I thought I'd take my girlfriend here. Ate at the Italian restaurant on Sunday and it did not dissapoint. Everything was perfect, from the food to the customer service. To our surprise, the food came out very quickly and it was piping hot and very fresh too. Just had a great freshly made sandwich from here. The bread was freshly baked (presumably from the same dough they use for their pizzas - it was absolutely delicious) The sandwich was about 30cm long, costs vary depending on what you put in them but there is a great choice. As the bread was freshly baked I had to wait a little while, but it was worth it.

Neapolitan pasta extra king prawns, Neapolitan pizza extra chicken and focaccia. One of the best pizzas I've had in my life! I had the four cheese pizza and it was delightful! It consisted of a strong selection of cheese's- combined all together to create such a creamy texture. It was quite salty but not over powering! Finished of with their simple yet delicious pasta sauce. My partner had the Di pollo pasta, and could see based on her expression that it did not disappoint. These guys know what they're doing, everyone works their butts off, yet always have a smile on their faces!

I really enjoyed their prosciutto pizza. As an Italian I usually stay away from pizzas in the UK but i was positively surprised. The pizza had a light and crispy dough and the toppings were really tasty, with a light taste of truffle present throughout. The service was fast, the staff was nice and the place was not crowded on a Sunday afternoon. It's a shame that there isn't a lot of seating area for groups because I would definitely come back with some friends to try other pizzas and even their pasta dishes.

Had a really nice lunch here after a stroll around town on a Sunday afternoon. The pizza was great, rich in flavour, decently sized. Base was crispy and light. Did a walk in and they give us a table straight away for 6 people which is amazing. The place is cozy but wow to food is amazing and it's the best pasta I've ever had. The staff where amazing and could not do enough for you. However it took quite a while to get our food, but it was worth the wait.

I got home the Spinach Pizza this evening. It was delicious and tasted simple and authentic, which I absolutely love about my pizzas. However, I think they left the pizza for a few minutes too long in the oven and this had burnt the bottom in several places and obviously impacted the taste. Spent a good amount of time trying to scrape off the absolutely charred bits. I hope the next pizza I get will be better and baked to perfection.

Ultimately the best pizza one can ever have. I could say that the the oil is just the cherry (tomato?!) On the top the top but it is actually the truffle taste that makes it a majestic pizza. We tried this as the front 'Pizza Napoletana' wording was appealing to us. Let get this right, I'm from Naples region and the pizza was tasty, but of course not matching the one I remember from my childhood. The food is fresh, nice presentation and even the seating space is very small, you can stop there and enjoy the moment. I found the choice of drinks very short, but I guess this is part of the concept, where people stops for taking away a pizza at the lunch break.

I was always very picky with food. In solograno everything that i have had from pasta to pizza all the flavours were balanced. The pizza is very close to the traditional Napolitana style. You can have a traditional Napolitana with a 10th of an airplaine ticket to Napoli. With £6.60 i had a traditional Napolitana, miles away from Napoli, in the heart of England. The best food you can have at this price range! If you are in the centre of Nottingham its a must!

I would put this place at 2nd place after suade in Nottingham. We had 2 margherita pizza the base is no bad but you can see that is not cooked in a wooden oven, the tomato sauce is nice but the cheese that you use is not that good I would try to change it for proper mozzarella. There is few mistakes in the menu as salciccia and picante ( salsiccia and piccante). As an Italian and from Naples I can say this pizza has nothing to do with our pizza from Napoli maybe you should take off the writing of napolitan pizza because you are lying who has really gone to naples does know what napolitan pizza does looks and taste like. As I know you are Greek maybe you should employ people from naples that could teach you how to do a proper napolitan pizza. This place could work really good if you learn how to do a proper napolitan pizza . The price are good just few good changes and you could become number 1 in Nottingham.
