Reviews of La Cucina

On a trip to Oxford with the family. My son booked La Cucina for traditional Italian pizzas…catered for Gluten free. Really tasty pizzas would definitely recommend this restaurant. I believe you won’t be disappointed. Nice food La Cucina, thank you.

Excellent place to have great authentic Italian cuisine.
This family friendly restaurant serves lovely food
Staff are friendly and accomidate you needs very well.
We were sat right next to the open kitchen and we watched then prepare and cook our pizzas. The chef was friendly friendly played along with our children. Including making then a dough crocodile. They enjoyed the experience very much.
Food was reasonably priced. I didn't feel it was expensive. Maybe the wine.
Parking is hard work. There's a pay and display behind the restaurant but it's the most ill designed car park with 10 cars trying to find a space and no room to turn around and manoeuvre. We had to sneakily park behind a shop.
Anyway, overall a lovely place to eat.

Lovely place to eat, lots of choice of great food. I popped in on my own during the evening without booking and they were happy to seat me. I ordered the Seafood Pizza and a side salad, they were both delicious! The staff are great, friendly and professional and nothing is too much trouble. So if you're in the area and want some fabulous Italian food, pop in! I can definitely recommend.

We like italian food, but the food in this restaurant was okay. We had deep fried calamari with lemon and chive mayo and pizza frita. Both of them were very salty. It was too much salt. And for main dish we had spaghetti alla carbonara and pappardelle con l’anatra. Bacon in the carbonara was more like boiled meat so it was not really tasty. Customers service was great. Prices are not too high, only we noticed the prices are higher on the bottles of wine.

We were recommended this Italian restaurant by a fellow Coeliac as they offer gluten free pasta & pizzas.
The standard pizzas were super & the gluten free pizza was one of the best. For this reason alone, it gets five stars! (It would have five stars anyway) the service was impeccable & attentive without being over bearing.

Great selection of food and drink on the menu. All the staff are friendly and attentive to the customers. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for some good food and great vibes.

One of the best rated Italian places in Oxford. The Trofie al pesto spinaci and the tiramisu were delicious! The ambience was also pretty good. Quick service, really courteous staff and first glance at the menu, you wouldn’t be able to separate vegetarian options but there are so many! I prefer this anyway over Italian food chains like Franco Manca or Zizzi.

Review of Gorgonzola gnocchi: not the worst by far, but the sauce was quite thin, the walnuts were bitter and there was walnut shell in my dish. The gnocchi? Soft bodied, and fine.

Dinner for family of four after visiting nearby museums. We had home made focaccia and garlic bread, and the goats cheese salad starter was epic...I could happily have that as a larger main dish. Kids menu and portion size were great. Sourdough pizzas were delicious. They made a dish which wasn't on the menu at my request.
Dessert choice could be better, maybe a few more without alcohol and that would've been a perfect meal.

Haven't ever been here before so had no expectations, but I was really impressed. The pizza was huge and oh so good, so no complaints there.
The restaurant itself is pleasant enough, and anyone dealing with us there were nice and helpful.
I don't live in the area otherwise I would have no hesitation about going back again. Highly recommended.
