Arrived at Franco Manca without reservation for a table of 4, we got seated inside pretty quickly. The server took our drinks orders pretty quickly and we got to looking at the menu. Plenty of choices and even a specials board. I selected pizza 7 (spicy salami) with a garlic dip. The pizzas all delivered to our table pretty quickly, the pizza itself was absolutely gorgeous, the dip was nice however very overpowering (and I really like garlic) The homemade lemonade was so refreshing and defo a favourite of mine. Could tell some of the staff were new to hospitality however they were trying very hard. Had to wait a while to get our bill (think they may have been understaffed) but all in all a very good experience. The bill was very reasonable (all pizzas around £10) I will be back!

First time visit here for me and Mrs H . We got a table nice and quickly . Orders for food and drink were pretty fast too. Both pizzas we ordered were pretty nice , but the garlic bread was pretty bland , also over £3 for a diet coke ... A CAN OF DIET COKE ... In a water glass , no ice , no slice. For that price I'd at least expect a little glass bottle :-/ Asked for the bill several times and several times had to remind the servers .

Oh my gosh!!!! Simply delicious. Sourdough pizza perfection. We went over lunch. Tremendously busy but staff effortlessly served with big smiles. The GM Shady was obviously living his best life, a born FOH Master, he made everyone feel welcome and happy to be there. I was a staunch ‘why does PBoro need yet another pizza place’ whinger but now after 1 visit the restaurant has shot to my favourite one to visit in the city centre. Go. Delicious and great service.

We go to Franco Manca quite regularly, and we had always fantastic service. Pizza is really good and to be honest, I think it can be quite challenging to find good quality pizza around the town. Big thank you goes to Shady, who’s always very attentive, fast, professional and friendly. He’s a true credit to FM.

We went as a group of 9 (one of whom is Italian), the first time most of us had been. I think they have a lot to learn! The staff were nice....order taken on a post-it note...drinks were slow to come, when they did they were put in the centre of our table for us to dish out to ourselves....cans of coke and wine in a small water glass? Tap water in wine bottles??? We had a question about a dish off the specials board....the staff member didn't know the answer....they should know the menu inside out as servers....it would be good to know what type of meat was in that dish! Generally the food looked good on arrival.... It's pizza.... nothing special really....

Food was ok but can source better pizza locally as was very wet in the middle and minimal options for toppings. The staff were pleasant enough but the organisation was not good at all. I always try to give positive reviews to a business but unfortunately it just wasn’t up to scratch. Missed a person from ordering a meal which was odd, missed a drink from our table we had ordered and then had to grab someone to ask once we had nearly finished our meal to ask where it was. There was a lot of people but it was strange because the organisation was terrible and it wasn’t efficient. We waited quite a lot and from this experience I wouldn’t want to go back personally. This could be teething issues but it needs to be dealt with especially when there is so many staff. There’s no excuse when other restaurants have less staff and are just as busy if not more so and they manage. Nobody minds tipping and while it wasn’t expensive we did grudge the service charge because it was terrible.

Food was great , but staff and manager don’t seem appropriately trained. We had ordered a bowl of olives and pizzas. We were waiting 20 minutes and had still received nothing. I asked the manager if we could please have the olives ( not much prep required ??) she looked at us blankly, nodded her head and walked away. We finally got our pizzas….. When finishing them one of the waitresses brought over some olives. It seemed comical as we didn’t want them for dessert and said we no longer needed them. Maybe I am expecting too much, surely most restaurants will serve you olives while the food is being prepared. A small detail maybe for some but this really made a difference to our experience, especially the indifference of the manager towards us which felt quite cynical and dismissive to a basic request. Unbelievably they didn’t take them off the bill even though we sent them back . We only noticed this after we had paid the bill, we just left as when we pointed this out, the staff member who had made the card transaction made it seem like an insurmountable task to refund us…. Fun experience :D

Really nice pizza, some of the best I've had in a while. Service was excellent. A petit blonde girl was very attentive and the manager "Shady" I think his name is was awesome. A big thank you to all the team 🙏🏼

Decided to try here on my lunch break, food and drinks were lovely, loved the homemade lemonade which I find difficult to get in other places. Staff were so kind and when I had an issue with my pizza they quickly resolved it, would definitely go back

Franco Manca's sourdough pizzas are certainly delicious, this resturant is definitely a great new addition to the city centre's dining scene! When you are in town Franco Manca is well worth visiting, definitely would recommend.

We turned up at 8pm on a Saturday night, although fully booked- the manager provided us with a warm welcome and made us a table. Service was amazing and waiter was super friendly. Food was amazing.

I’ve recently visited Franco manca, pizzas are top quality, taste is amazing, the softness of the pizza dough is incredible. Staff is also incredible 10/10. Would definitely recommend visiting and trying out the amazing food.

Went on Sunday evening with a table of 7, service was plenty quick enough and all pizzas were hot, delicious and no one was waiting long. Only slight disappointment was limited options for drinks, a few things had run out by the time we were there.

If I had to give this a rating out of 10 it would probs be a 4.5 this is bc the menu option is very limited and the layout isn't the best. For instance on the table I was one we didn't have any cutlery or cups on it. Don't get me wrong It's a cute little restaurant with nice staff but I could do with some improvements

Very good service! it's bad that you don't have a wood burning stove. Napoli pizza is not near at all. and so everything is fine! we will definitely come back! I recommend it to everyone!

Had a very good meal for a leaving party, so was a lot of us to serve, Fabrizia was fantastic and took good care of us, obvious she loves what she does. Food was tasty and good value, would go again

Pizza was delicious, but the rest of it needs to improve. At the first half of the day their drinks, water and lemonade ran out, and we had to ask for a tap water. We didn’t expect that waitress will come with used bottle of olive oil and the water mixed with it inside

Visited this restaurant on Thursday evening, was advised to return after 20 mins for a table. We went back after 20mins and were seated. When ordering there were limited options for soft drinks as most were out of stock. The waitress we had seemed not very with it but we still placed our order for food. It got to about 30/45 mins and another waitress came and asked if we wanted dessert to which we said we've not even had our mains yet. She went to check on our food and came back to ask us what we ordered as there was no order for us in the kitchen. We were very annoyed about this and gave her our order again. She apologised and said it won't be long. The original waitress came and apologised and said everything was on the house. Then our food arrived which was yummy however a bit soggy but i figured this was because i had courgette on mine. After we finished we tried to get someone's attention for the bill as we assumed maybe just the drinks were on the house. The general manager came over and said not to worry, he apologised for the experience and said its all on the house. Had it not been for him rectifying the error and making us feel at ease i would've given a 1 star. However this hasn't put me off going back as i understand they were only open for a week so there would be teething issues as expected with any new restaurant.

My daughter and I came in for the first time on spur of the moment Saturday evening and were wowed by the ambiance of this very new pizzeria in town with its huge outlook onto the city square, didn’t really think we’d get in. However we were seated very quickly but had a little wait to order as it was very busy. Well worth the wait though. Staff were very friendly but busy. Pizza was amazing, (we were advised by head chef Bruno diMaria) never had a whole buffalo mozzarella on pizza before (extra) but the best ever, the dips very tasty, side dish of lamb sausage, potatoes in tomato sauce covered in cheese, delicious! Couldn’t resist the homemade tiramisu one of my personal favourite desserts. A true slice of Italy in town at last to my mind and yes we will be back! ADVICE- do not eat before you go!!! Well done Franca Manca and all staff on your first week and welcome to our city.
