Just had a really great meal here with the family. Booked online the day prior for 9 ppl, called in advance on the day to increase it to 10 & they didn't have the booking, however they were great & accommodated us all. Brilliant staff (*esp Natalia) & service, from the booking & during the meal! First time here & all 10 of us left full & happy! Wheelchair accessible, tolerant staff - we're a lot on our own & have kids with SEND. Even converted my elderly parents who were not enthusiastic about the chain ... they were very happy with the staff & service which means the world to me! Highly recommended by all of us & at this point in the pandemic... an absolute well done!!

We visited Bella Italia after being rudely turned away from F&B, one of the other restaurants at the Barbican Leisure Park. The difference was night and day, we were immediately welcomed by a polite and friendly manageress called Mel who promptly seated us and took our drinks order. It was a lovely touch that she took the time to ask us how our day was going and what we had planned for the rest of the afternoon. The food was excellent, everything served was cooked perfectly and was piping hot! Overall Bella Italia had a lovely atmosphere and great food! Keep up all the great work! We'll definitely be coming back soon to try the Marco Polo!

Nice friendly Italy restaurant. We booked in advance and were served very promptly which was good. The food was nice and reasonably sized portions. My bolognese was a little bland and my partner's lasagne's pasta was slightly under, but I would certainly eat here again.

We visited as a family of 4 on Saturday as a little treat for my youngest graduating nursery. The staff were brilliant from the moment we walked in. The manager I believe was called Jamie was wonderful with our two little girls and the service provided was second to none. You can tell as a manager he cared so much about his colleagues and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you making our little treat a wonderful experience! :)

I was just so impressed with the range of gluten free options available. The chef even adapted a meal so that I could eat it. There were a number of options not available, which other members of the group chose, but the manager explained that this was due to delivery challenges

4.5 stars all the way ! So Saturday the 1st October was my child's 1st birthday. A big group of us consisting of 9 adults , and 13 children went to the aquarium, and then fancied a bite to eat. So along barbican leasure you have this place , a pizza hut, and takeout style dining inside the arcade/ bowling. None of these would let us inside, wasn't the fact that they didn't have the room as nobody specified this it was just a look from staff as we tried entering of shaking heads and a simple no followed. From the short brief no I can only presume it was due to the shear number of us and being honest alot of our kids are fairly rowdy, some of which have special needs. Anyway.. we was about to give up until we spoke to somebody at bella Italia. ( me an my partner have eaten at their Portsmouth restaurant which was outstanding ) Even though they only had two chefs an two other members of staff on the entire floor they facilitated us fantastically without even a fuss. The food was amazing an didn't take too long especially considering short staffed an our numbers. Jethro or gethro was our waiter and did amazing , was clear , polite , funny an very good with the kids that guy deserves a bonus or raise. The other gent was also very kind but I didn't catch the name. Literally the only reason I didn't put 5 star is because it was all very confusing at the end , because of service charge we couldn't all pay separate, so ended up paying separate and tipping separately to cover the service charge. Wasn't the end of the world and didn't ruin our experience. Highly recommend this place. Thank you bella italia

Went on Saturday for bottomless presseco brunch to celebrate my eldest daughters birthday. 4 of us in total and all had a lovely time food was excellent as was the gentleman who looked after us. Unfortunately we never got his name. Would certainly do this again and fully recommend it.

Staff are amazing and the quality of food was very good. The portion sizes seem to be getting smaller though, despite this it tasted lovely. Was a little upset with a menu option being different to the described option. Scotch bonnet chillies are on the card but have been removed from the dish. If this is so take it off the menu or alter the card. Inside is lovely but the busy flow of human traffic through the channels may make it a bit uncomfortable for a couples first date or parents without kids for the first time needing a break. I liked it overall would go back.

Love Bella Italia but God dame the price of a drink is now beyond a joke. £6ish for a pint and £3.30 for a glass of coke,yes a small glass not even a pint I don't think even if a pint.but I love going and eating when I do have the extra cash(not that much lately) but the food is amazing and I have never had a bad meal here.good food good service good people good place to eat and meet.. recommend highly by my family and I

Called in Saturday afternoon on the way to the cinema without a booking. As we were in a rush we asked the waitress if she could be hasty with our order and were told she “would see what she could do”. Our food was on the table in minutes few 2 adult and 2 children’s meals and all very tasty dishes, we were in and out within the hour. Didn’t get the lady’s name possibly the shift manager many thanks, will definitely be back.

Really love staff, the woman that served us was so polite (didn't catch her name but was the only blond woman there that I seen). We had the set menu which really good value for money and decent portion sizes without sacrificing the quality. Haven't been to this particular Bella Italia before but will definitely be coming back. I didn't take any photos as I was so hungry I forgot but take my word for it, I was really nice food, well done.

Nice pizza and even better spaghetti carbonara! Lisa our server was great and very quick. I used the Tastecard 2 for 1 offer, it was really good value and the atmosphere is nice and relaxing. Would recommend.

Went with the family for Christmas eve and went with friends last Night, both times have been amazing, garlic and cheese piss a bread for starters and I can't remmebr my main but both times have been very nice... Myself and my friend come here every week for our breakfast as a treat. We cannot fault the standards of the food and service. All staff are great, especially Leigha, who cannot give enough to her customers and has a beautiful smile. The food is high quality, for example not cheap sausages but proper butchers Cumberland's. Nothing is too much trouble and service has always been swift for us with food arriving piping hot. We thoroughly enjoy our weekly breakfast treat and look forward to it immensely. Highly recommend both the breakfast and lunch/dinner menus, whether for a low key meal or a big celebration.

Ok so the staff here are fantastic and super helpful. The menus have stepped up their game and now cater for gluten-free dairy-free and vegan, which was a nice surprise. This is part of the Bella Italia chain, and one of two located in Plymouth. When we visited for dinner early in the evening, it was already busy. The restaurant serves Italian food (there's a clue in the name) mainly pasta and Pizza. The food was generally of good quality, other than my dessert (Tiramisu) which was rather disappointing for over £6. Our visit coincided with some staff shortages, so we had to wait quite a long time to receive our meals and drinks at every course. However our waitress was very good and kept us informed, and along with all the staff, did the best she could under the circumstances. We received a discount for the wait, which was volunteered by the restaurant manager (I did not ask for one). This was a welcome gesture, and an excellent example of putting the customer first. Well done Bella Italia!!

Went in for breakfast yesterday, while waiting for car to have MOT close by. Met by Lisa who was very friendly & helpful. Had bella breakfast with hot drink, everything was just right, came out piping hot. Only criticism was only one piece of toast, with three pieces of butter, either put another piece of toast, or remove some of the butter. Also would be nice to still be able to have unlimited drinks.

I used to frequent Bella Italia restaurants regularly in the past usually on my journeys around England watching my football team. But times and preferences change. So, now I have hungry teenage grandkids I find myself visiting old haunts. Atlanta the manager and Paulo made us feel very welcome and were attentive throughout and the service was excellent. The food was average, they didn't do pineapple as an addition to the pizza, and overall the food left something to be desired. The prices were over inflated to take account of the 30% discount they offer. Of course it's all a con!! £55 for 2 kids meals ( I couldn't face the sub standard meals so just had olives ) . It is what it is. A good place for kids to eat.....but just the same as Frankie & Benny, Pizza Hut, Pizza Express, Chiquitos.....yawn yawn. Mediocrity r us!

Great place to have a meal. Friendly staff. Drinks are expensive. Great food. You can get vouchers online for money off online for every day except Saturday but if you have cinema tickets for that day you can get 25% of main courses. Lovely atmosphere in the restaurant particularly when busy. You can also have takeaways but you have to order in the restaurant. If you search online on their Web site you can usually find a 50% off takeaway food voucher which is then emailed to you.

Food is not bad, standard Italian fare; pasta, pizza (the pizza express next door does better pizza, but then if you fancied a pizza then the pizza hut across is friendlier and easier frankly) the staff seemed very rushed when I was in though - obviously not their fault but still, when a big film is released in the multiplex next door I would have thought they'd seem more prepared. For what it is it seems overpriced, I was there with a money off voucher and wouldn't visit without one.

Service was great the Steak is a definite NO, burnt offerings, Ribs lovely but arrived 10 mins after everyone else's meal, Fries were skinny, pale and cold, what happened to the lovely chunky fries they used to serve? Attended last night with my wife for a rare meal out without the kids. So glad we did. If I can get through the Italian names for everything on the menu, so can you! A three course meal which was absolutely impeccable, great service at an amazing pace. Quiet for a Sunday night, which was a real contribution to how perfect the evening was. The parking at Barbican Lesuire Park is also free, which makes life way easier. The staff were so friendly and polite and the food was great, we also had a laugh with one of the staff members, a rarity in the modern day, so a massive thanks to her. For starter I and the meatballs, which had the right balance of spice to meat, for main, the sirloin steak which was cooked perfectly and for desert, the Banofee Sundae, wow. Meerkat meals (2 for 1) is accepted here, as well as the expected card and cash payment methods.

Good Italian restaurant. A little pricey if you're on a budget. I suggest using a Groupon voucher when visiting and make sure you book in advance. This makes it a lot cheaper however you only get to choose from a selected menu when using Groupon. Situated nicely next to the cinema with free parking.

(I'm not one to complain) Poor customer service from my waiter, sharp response whilst ordering, My food was cold, plates left for at least 15 minutes after I had finished, then same waiter walking past me constantly not taking any notice of our dirty plates. I am only giving a 4* as to resent visits, Thank god for the supervisor (blonde lady, recently new supervisor) who sorted everything out for my partner and I! I had Pollo Alla Crema Roast chicken, pancetta, roast onion, peppers and fresh pasta twists in a creamy cheese sauce Found sauce very bland and couldnt find a single piece of pancetta in the entire dish which i think would of helped with the flavour. Also way to many onions and peppers in the dish. Wouldnt order it again but would defo go back as there are other dishes id like to try
