Nice environment and the pasta was good. Wasn't a fan of the house red, but house wine is always hit or miss. Had the sticky toffee pudding for dessert, not the best, I would try something different next time. The 3-course special was a good deal, would try that again.

This is one of my favourite local restaurants and last night did not disappoint! The menu and food was amazing as ever. The staff are very attentive so you are never sat waiting for long even when it is really busy as it was last night. They didn't have the wine we requested but went out of their way to find us another of the same grape. Won't be long until we are back there again 😋. Thank you Pinocchio's x

Amazing food every time. Attentive staff who were pleasant and found great pleasure in my 8 year old daughter demolishing a serving of ribs and even brought her an extra bowl for the remains as well as a wet wipe to clean herself up. The staff picked up on, without being told, that it was my girlfriend's birthday and came out with her desert decorated and sang to her. Love this place.

This restaurant is always a great place to go.....lovely ambience and food is lovely. I have given 4 stars instead of 5 because I felt that they need to update their menu with Vegan symbols next to relevant items instead of just Vegetarian. 10 years ago I would not have expected to see the Vegan symbol in any restaurant but now so many restaurants and take away menus have clearly identified Vegan food so I feel that a restaurant like Pinocchios should have updated their menus by now.

Just had a wonderful meal, with great atmosphere, friendly staff and great bar. I had the Italian antipasto for starter, with Pheasant Tuscan for main which had pancetta, truffle filled ravioli and red wine, followed by meringue nest with berry compote (they kindly served it without cream at my request). Very reasonably priced meal. I will be back. I have included photos of the meal below.

Went for the first time this weekend. Nice restaurant with a good atmosphere. Staff where friendly and helpful and the service was generally good though we were seated at an unprepared table initially. The food was very good, my only criticism would be the salad garnish could have done with some dressing, but may be I'm being a bit picky. On the whole a very good experience. Will definitely return.

Wow. Incredible Italian food. We stopped off impromptu on the way down from Cumbria to London. It’s just off the M6. They take bookings over the phone. We had a two course lunch, the starter and main was under £20. We highly recommend their Lemon Sole, Crabmeat Ravioli or their Seafood Spaghetti. Would love to return for Dinner some day. First visit in over 10 years and wow What a transformation. Went as a large family visit and young kiddies. First impressions are that's is wasn't very family friendly as they didn't have a kiddy menu but they simply said they can have anything on the menu in smaller portions. The food was very tasty and well presented . The staff are very well presented and organised and the price was very reasonable considering the quality. Will be going back again soon.

Not a vegan option noted on the menu but they were really accommodating in suggesting some things that could be adapted. Really simple options, soup or salad, & vegetable pasta or pizza with no cheese. It'd only take a little effort to purchase some vegan butter cheese & milk/cream and so much of the menu could be marked V & VE. It's 2022, I've not been somewhere with no vegan options for a long time, that said staff were lovely & I enjoyed the food they made.

The waiter wouldn't recommend me a wine when I asked for one after reviewing the wine menu, which I thought was odd. I thought they might have at least recommended a customer favorite or a popular Italian wine. I ended up drinking the house wine instead for lack of inspiration. There's good service, then there's going the extra mile which was missed on this occasion, otherwise no complaints.

Food was great! Amazing Gambas! Just delicious... Dessert (sticky toffee pudding) is to die for! I'm giving 3 stars cos of service. Our server Maria came to our table just 3 times, she didn't ask how was food( manager did) she didn't clean our plates(manager did). When we ordered drinks I've ask for tomato juice, she said: "they don't have it", so I've asked: "which juice you have" the answer was: "apple and orange"... My reply was: "and that's it?" She have to go and check it. After that she just came to clean our empty glasses. Sad really. But we will definitely be back for some delicious food 😃

Really wide choice on the menu - with some unusual dishes. The set price menu is certainly excellent value for money. The food itself was perfectly cooked and delicious, and certainly large portions. The wine menu was also very extensive. Service was spot on right from the start when we entered. My only criticism, hence 4 stars not 5, is the lack of soft furnishings meaning harsh surroundings so there is nothing to soak up the sound. The 4 of us eating found it very difficult to hold a conversation and sometimes even hard to hear the waiter. So instead of enjoying a coffee and liqueur as normal we were eager to leave. A shame. Perhaps it's an age thing !

Haven't visited this place for 18 years. Must have been that much of a memorable meal that it completely slipped my mind....just kidding. Anyways a friend mentioned it so I thought why not try before visiting the cinema round the corner . Blustery Tuesday night and reservation for 2 was no problem , when we turned up it was fairly busy . Seated and menu'd up effortlessly we ordered . Opted for the 3 courses for £22 quid . Wifey ordered garlic mushrooms for a change , just kidding Mrs and I the prawn tempura as starters. Cod with veg and a spicy sauce for moi for mains and Vegetable Lasagne for the Mrs and then the highlight of the whole meal , homemade tiramasu for me and bread n butter pudding for the Wife , which was equally magnificent as I devoured both . The food was excellent , service was quick polite and slick and the ambiance of the place , even though it is quite a large restaurant it still had an intimate vibe , which for an Italian restaurant is a must . So thoroughly stuffed for a decent price off we waddled off to the cinema round the corner for a bit of Bond.

Food was good but service a little erratic - rather rushed at first and then slowed down and intermittent. Don't understand why Pinnochio's puts the large party table (for 16/18 people) in the middle of the 2 person tables. It's good to have an atmosphere and a buzz about the place but I noticed all the 2 person tables were struggling to have a reasonable conversation with all the - understandable - commotion from the big table in the centre. Might it work better with the large party table being located with the 4 - and more - person tables where the volume levels are more in keeping?

Nice food and good atmosphere. I felt like the pace was bit to quick for me and there was not enough time in between courses (but a minor concern and I could quite bring myself to take a star away). The food was excellent, and the place itself felt well furnished and clean. The staff all seemed pleasant and polite. The prices where also reasonable for the type of restaurant it is, for the two of us three courses and a drink it came to £65. I would recommend.

We went as a group of 12. The restaurant was quite busy on a Sunday evening and I can not fault the service. The dinning area was light and airy, there were children dinning on the other side of the room without distraction. We were catered for professionally, in good time and the staff were excellent. I ordered a garlic bread with cheese as an appetiser which came in the form of a pizza. It was delicious and I was able to share. The pizza base was not too heavy and cheese was plentiful. The other diners at our table ordered various starters. Black pudding, muscles, which looked and tasted incredible. I ordered a Lasagne for the main course as it was my first visit and I wanted to get the standard of a basic dish. I was not disappointed. The dish was presented and tasted excellent. Some deserts were ordered although I did not partake. The Tiramasu was fabulous and professionally presented. Coffee was available to finish. The bill for us as a couple came to £45, which included drinks. The car park was a little on the small side although most of our group car shared or booked a taxi. I will definately visit this high class restaurant again.

Friendly staff and a welcoming reception. Part of the San Marco group of restaurants so the menu and food standard will be familiar to some people. The only down side is the building suffers form poor acoustics and as such is very noisy and difficult to have a conversation on a large table

Went on a Sunday afternoon with my son and girlfriend. The welcome and the service were not as warm and professional as usual. I had the goat's cheese starter which just wasn't cooked enough. I'm already planning my next 3 courses from the wonderfully mouth watering menu, lots of choice and generous portions (not like some restaurants where you're left still hungry!). I recommend the Pollo Alla Crema - Chicken was succulent and the flavours were incredible. My partner had the duck leg which was equally as nice. Visited on a very hot evening & the poor staff were doing their best in the conditions as it's an open kitchen too. Wonderful food as ever, one dish was wrong but as I'd started it I kept it, even though they quickly realised and offered to swap, as it was delicious ricotta & spinach ravioli. Only downside was that there was no kids menu so quite expensive for a pizza they ate les than half of, but thanks mr chancellor got money off anyway!

The ambience and food are excellent. They did unfortunately take a long time to Arbor is drinks when we arrived. There was a party that everyone seemed more concerned about but as we had all booked I guess, certainly had, wet expected them to be able to cope. Anything time wise is explainable except not serving you or not really shielding that you are waiting.

Was a decent enough meal, everything we had was edible. Apart from our main waiter, staff lacked personality and attention to our table was slow. Freshly cooked, beautifully complimentary flavours and presentation of food that instantly provokes salivation. Very nice restaurant, loved the decor! Food was very good, I had calamari for starters and seafood pasta which was on the specials menu. When we first got there service was very good but as the restaurant started to fill up it seemed as though they had forgotten about us! Shame really as we were going to have dessert too.

The food was very good and the service was excellent. However we had two problems. The first is a minor one where one of our table ordered a meal without mushrooms. He was half way through it when he found mushrooms in it. The waiter immediately took the meal off our bill, but I wonder what might have happened if there were allergies involved. I wouldn't trust these people to get the order right. The second problem isn't one you can overcome easily but is the reason why we wouldn't go back. There was ambient music playing softly, but the noise from the echoey room was overbearing. You couldn't have a quiet night out here. It was only half full too, what must it have been if it were full! We had to shout across the table to be heard. We won't be back, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who just wants a nice quiet meal out.

I really am quite confused from the previous review from a Gazilla Marvelman....really? Is that an actual name? We went to Pinochios for my father's 80th birthday last August 2017 - 5 adults and 2 children...we all had a wonderful meal, attentive staff, clean environment, good wine...no complaints. We liked it so much we are going back for my dad's 81st birthday. And as to the low roof...please expect this in an historic building...this adds to the character. However, some people (Gazilla) can obviously not cope with some challenges...the rest of us can surely enjoy a lovely meal in lovely surroundings.
