A. K.This place served decent food. We attended just after 4 pm and it was not too crowded.
The Seafood Linguini was nice and I appreciated the way in which it was presented. There could have been more King Prawns and Squids. I do concede that these items are expensive, but the price for meal was significant.
The Chefs prepare the meals in the open, which is nice to look at, although this must be intimidating for them. I would have likely to have watched them more closely, but I did not want to stare.
Additionally, I am concerned that some of the items on the menu are labelled as “vegetarian” when they are not. For example, Parmesan cheese is not a vegetarian item. In relation to the menu, the 7 Cheeses Pizza is presented as a vegetarian item, but the ingredients speak otherwise. Parmesan cheese uses an enzyme which is found in the lining of a goat’s or a calf’s stomach.
I am not a Vegetarian, so my concern is for others who have made a significant commitment not to consume any meat products. The menu itself has lots of wonderful items, but it is prudent for some things to be raised.
The Server made an error in the order. People make mistakes and one of the other members of staff spoke to us about it. The Server apologised sincerely for the error. It was rectified immediately. Yes, I concede that mistakes can be made but it is also equally important as to how they are dealt with and the members of staff dealt with it immediately and efficiently.
g.I've been coming to Zerodegrees since 2016. The food has always been delicious, the staff are friendly and attentive to any needs you have, and the atmosphere is always pleasant. The beer could be better, though. It tends to be quite flat and has a low quality taste at times. As this is a microbrewery, I think more attention should be given towards improving the quality of the beer this place has on offer.
So, the food is good, the hospitality is great, but the beer needs improvement. Still, I'll keep coming back to this place because it's in my top 5 favourite restaurants in Reading.
S. B.A great vibe, modern trendy interior, gets very busy on Saturday nights as the food is excellent, complemented by a wide choice of cocktails. The espresso Martine is my favourite. The Banoffee Nutella pie is the best dessert.

M. T.Nice bar and atmosphere but the in house beers are not really to my taste.
In terms of the restaurant I've eaten there a few times and it's been average at best. On one occasion when I went in a large group for a pizza buffet and the speed at which the buffet was replenished was way too slow and on the most recent occasion I was their for a friends birthday and my pizza was just OK but the most confusing aspect was that we kept receiving drinks that we didn't order, so presumably another table wasn't getting theirs.
M. P.Went for their Christmas Dinner. The starters and sweets are excellent. The beers are great too. But the Christmas Dinner was way overcooked. Probably it had sat for an hour under a lamp. Wouldn't recommend.

B.Trendy gastro pub where the food is as good as the beers. All house brewed craft beer with big flavour, and artisan pizzas that really don't disappoint. Great place for a stop in or a proper dinner.

Fries come in many forms but garlic was the best and most fascinating combo.
Only downfall is speed of service. Lack of tables for a person on their own too unless you book. Make sure to book ahead!
P. S.TL:DR - poor beer selection and terrible BBQ Chicken Pizza
Zerodegrees, my old reliable beer & pizza spot has proven itself not so reliable on my most recent visit. The beer list was quite disappointing as they were out of everything I would want....yes I know it's a microbrewery and they run out of beers, but when you run out you are supposed to replace it with something, not leave it sitting there empty.
The food was better, most of it anyway. Most people were quite happy with their selections. I ordered a barbecue chicken pizza, and knowing that their pizzas are cooked in a wood oven I had an expectation of a decent pizza arriving. What a horror show of a pizza that arrived at my table. The sauce was absolutely everywhere to the point that it was making the crust soggy, but the real problem was the chicken. Most barbecue chicken pizzas use tiny strips, or shredded pieces of chicken breast because it just becomes so dried out when it gets cooked twice (once to make it food-safe, 2nd time in the pizza oven as a topping). The chicken on my pizza was these massive chunks that were as dry as my shoes, except my shoes would definitely have tasted better. The chicken tasted so salty, it sounds like they marinated the chicken is a salt-based rub then cooked it to death, then added it to the pizza in its own bathtub of sweet BBQ sauce. What was left was an appalling pizza.
The server asked if everything was alright when he noticed I had eaten only a piece and a half of my pizza, and my reply was "What do you think?".
Minus two stars, you can do better Zerodegrees.

Although I have few complaints about the quality of service, food (although surprisingly no chicken wings, which would be an ideal panacea after a heavy session) and drink (good, but surprisingly limited given this is a microbrewery) on offer, I found the venue’s concept a little perplexing. With a slightly noughties sense of interior design and music that promotes a party vibe, the place feels like may be missing a dance floor and disco lights...!

R. C.I went for the pepperoni pizza, it was different in a word, well-made as the base was thin and still floury. There was tomato sauce dripping everywhere as I cut through it though, but still very tasty.
The belgian waffle dessert with ice cream was amazing, just the perfect amount of sweetness and the ice cream made it for me.
Presentation of the food was superb and everything looked delicious.
The tables, seating etc were all very modern and clean as well.
Serving times were reasonably quick. As we were right at the back it was a bit difficult getting waiter's attention, but we got someone over after a few minutes as we needed more drinks. Staff were friendly, we all paid separately, fortunately we had our phones to figure out how to pay each, our waiter had no idea how much we had left to pay!
Came to about £23 per person - starter £4, main meal £10, 2 drinks £5 and dessert £4.
I would visit again and try something else. Overall for the price I think it was worth it.
If visiting I would recommend arriving before 8pm, as suddenly it got very busy after then.

The vibe is really cool and calm so perfect for a romantic evening. Next time I go I’ll be sure to take a photo to add to this review. I also think the price is pretty reasonable. Me and my friend went for dinner with several drinks (lol) and it was £25 a head which in my experience is pretty good going.

J.Nice atmosphere, but music slightly too loud sometimes. Pizza is good and cooked in a pizza oven. The beer is excellent and is the reason why I come here anytime I'm in Reading. The best beer is the Oktoberfest beer served during some of the autumn and winter months. During the summer the Elderflower beer is definitely worth trying. The helpful bar staff will be happy to give you free tasters of the beers if you are unsure.

S. M.Came with a small group for dinner on a weeknight. The restaurant area was busy but not too noisy, and the staff were very attentive. The in-house beer was quite good, and I devoured the pizza like a monster dedicated to that purpose. This place seems to be a staple for work functions and after-work drinks, and I can see why.
O. C.Almost impossible to order. Placed 6 orders on deliveroo and they only accepted it 2 times. Craving the pear pizza, we also tried to visit the restaurant with a friend but were not able to be seated. After waiting for 20 minutes around, we just left the place.
In summary, wonderful culinary experience but unreliable and inconsistent service experience.

R. R.Great place, good pizza and beer. What more could you want. Staff are friendly and attentive, without being in your face. The building is rustic, which old adds to the whole set up.
M. O.Not eaten here but, as a homebrewer, had a great discussion about the production of the beer made and sold here. Also taps taste great. Only the lighter end of spectrum available on this visit but a lovely, crisp but malty, and not overly hopped IPA ticks the box at the lighter end of heavy.
E. S.Venue is nice, friendly staff. The beer is OK, but in a world of creative craft beers I think they'll need to up their game. I'd have preferred to see either finely tuned classics or something more inventive like the Buxton /Omnipollo lemon meringue ice cream beer (if you've not tried it, it's not as weird as it sounds). Being a microbrewery isn't easy but my thirst was quenched on a hot day and it was better than a lot of places nearby.
A. S.Easily my favourite restraunt in town and always a first option when friends or family are visiting. The core range of Zero beers are all very good (particularly the black lager and mango), as are the random specials, the Christmas brews in particular have been superb.
The pizza's are delicious and creative, I've tried various from the Spicy Jamacian Chicken to the Peking Duck and they've all been great. They are also very accomodating to specific needs. During one visit a vegan was well catered for and someone dissapointed to find classic Hawian pizza wasnt on the menu so the chef offered to make parma ham and caramelised pear and it was well recieved.
There are also many offers such as happy hour between 4 and 7 and Beat the Clock pricing on Mondays.

N. G.We had our office Christmas party here tonight. We chose the venue as the menu looked appetizing and beer selection appealing. Service was good but BEWARE, all may not be as it seems. When a menu online states Prosecco you expect Prosecco not a cheap Italian Sparkling. To be fair these were replaced when pointed out, but we should not have had to complain. Added to this, those of us who chose the Lemon Cheesecake with "fresh strawberries" were all disappointed to have onion tasting strawberries instead. Obviously somewhere in the process the fruit had been contaminated either by gloves / knife and / or chopping board. Again, to be fair these were replaced when pointed out and the service charge removed together with one meal from the bill. All very well, but the event is a once a year treat and was tainted by this. Please get your act together ZERO DEGREES otherwise i'm sure there will be more reviews like this over the coming weeks.

L. J.Incredible microbrewery restaurant. We went there for lunch on Valentines Day, it was 2-for-1 so we had 1kg of creole mussels with fries and a huge parma ham & mozzarella salad for £16. The ales are brewed onsite and are superb, particularly pale ale and mango ale. Also great website with online booking.

Secondly one of the waitresses was seen leaving the bathroom without washing her hands - ew! Don't go - rude and dirty staff! On the plus side, most drinks (except cocktails) were served long!

R. C.Zerodegrees is a well established venue in Oracle Town Centre. You can go to eat or drink or both. Personally I like it as a relaxed place to grab a beer or guest brew. The guest brews are high quality. The staff are very friendly. A relaxed option in Reading that never fails. Yeah, recommended.
