Cannot fault Regginas, even if I wanted to! Welcomed warmly, nice friendly and helpful staff and the food was fantastic. Great portion sizes, perfectly cooked and presented with a nice gap between courses without feeling you're waiting too long. The restaurant as a whole is small enough to feel intimate yet feels big enough not to feel cramped Was my first visit but definitely not my last

Good all round food, with friendly and attentive staff. Portion sizes for the mains (lobster tagliatelle and pork belly) and desserts (tiramisu and almond and raspberry tart) were good, though the starters (hallomi wrapped in parma ham and two slices of pork belly with blood pudding crumbs) were a little disappointing for their price of £10.95, when some mains were only a few pounds extra. In addition, as a minor niggle the two starters were ordered off the specials, which were listed to us without a price, so we were a little blindsided by their cost (though we could have asked so an equal oversight on our part). That said, an overall pleasant dinner out with tasty food, so we would visit again.

Nice little Italian, quite a cosy feel to it. Quite busy so lots of people moving about. Nice range on the menu but not a lot for kids, especially if they're a bit fussy. Service was excellent, really friendly staff and they dealt well with our table of 9. Unfortunately the main I ordered wasn't as described on the menu, but it was still good.

The male waiter took our order, messed up the order + requested for water and nothing came either. Food were decent but my pasta needed more seasoning and as for my husband’s pasta you could tell from the meatballs it weren’t freshly cooked either. Not much complain with the food as it was still decent however the service was bit of a disappointment. Had bit of my dessert left on the plate as I just left it to take a sip of my drink and the waitress came and wanted take away my plate without asking me if I was done with it. Really needed more training for their service. Not gonna lie the Asian waitress was the best one there, otherwise it would have been a poorer experience.

We have had three good experiences at Reginnas and this is why we went there tonight to celebrate my husbands new job...which I did state when we booked. However tonight the food was lovely as usual but to be honest I didn't think the staff were so friendly tonight and as soon as we walked in were told we need the table back in two hours. Don't agree with paying nearly £8 in service charges for just the two of us and £21 for two glasses of wine. It's a Shame as we've had such lovely experiences before but won't be coming back anytime soon.

We went for a family meal for my daughter’s 30th birthday. The whole afternoon was a fantastic experience, the service was second to none, nothing was too much trouble for them, even though we were a party of 17 including three teenagers and two 2 year olds. Superb lunch, had their set menu which was excellent price and service and food. Would definitely go back!

The food, the atmosphere and the staff were all an absolute delight. First, even on a hot day of 35 degrees, the rooms were kept shaded and breezy with AC down stairs and very open planned seating, keeping in mind social distancing measures! The staff were smiling and very efficient with take orders and getting food out. It was a very busy service when we went at 6pm but never did we feel forgotten or stranded, with drinks being refilled and food being checked on. The drink selection was full and long and the cocktail I had was made to perfection. The food was divine, best mussels I have had in a long time, creamy garlicy sauce, strong white wine cutting through and meaty mussels. Followed up by sticky pork belly on Cabbage and mash, the crackling was crunchy and just the right thickness, the fatty pork melted in my mouth without being greesy, the Cabbage was sweet and juicy and complimented the salty crackling and the creamy smooth apple and potato mash, perfect! The dessert portions were Huge, and the quality did not diminish! Beautifully hand made banofee pie and other dishes I saw walking past me capped off the meal. The portions of everything was BIG, and the quality was very high. My fiance and I had a great meal, we don't live in the area but we will go back again when we go down to the coast again :)

Went there with some friends for a celebration and they did not disapoint. Service is spot on they dont hound you or pressure you is friendly they know what their doing and knowledgeable about the food. The restaurant its self is nice small and has a romantic setting feel to it, does get slightly warm but wasn't a problem. The food oh my well, we had a good mix of mains around the table and all i heard was silence as everybody was having a little foodgasm. Special are amazing 10z ribeye and shell on prawns was to die for!! You have now a customer for life thank you

Have always wanted to go and try this restaurant so thought we would try it out last night, lovely old restaurant. Staff were very attentive, friendly and couldn't do enough for you. All orders were take promptly and you didn't wait to long for your food. All our food was presented beautifully and was tasty and full of flavour. Very much enjoyed a much needed night out. My husband and I came here on our first date over 12 years ago. I like the atmosphere and the food was lovely. Sad to see the usual Bruschetta has gone from the menu, leaving a seafood version. We both had the fillet steak which didn't disappoint. The brownie was also delicious. My only bug bear was despite having an email confirmation of our booking we werent actually booked in. Thankfully this was accommodated. It also seemed a bit of a rush to try and take food orders before we had drinks. Otherwise a very good night 😊

Had a fabulous birthday meal here for my wife. There were 8 of us, and we each had a 3 course set menu. The food was superb, I can't describe it any other way. So Regginas is a bit of a double edged sword - on the one hand, the waiting staff were really helpful and friendly, the atmosphere was warming and bustling, and the cocktails were impressive! Unfortunately when we came to eat this is where the issues started.we ordered the calamari Fritti and the garlic bread - again impressed with the choice of and quality of the garlic bread, but when the calamari arrived the batter colour was lighter than expected and the consistency somewhat doughy, but edible. Overall not the best calamari I've had, but also not the worst. The mains were a further slide down the slope, my wife ordered the crab and lobster linguini in a 'champagne sauce' and I chose the 'bistecca reggina' essentially a fillet steak wrapped in panchetta with potatoes. You can imagine my surprise when my fillet arrived wrapped in back bacon (not panchetta) burnt on top and cold on the inside (a victim I think to trying to cook the bacon but also have a med rare fillet) overly salty (again I suspect the fillet was seasoned appropriately but then wrapped in bacon which added more salt). I was unsure about the dish when I ordered it and glad I tried it, but it doesn't work and for £27 I hoped for better. Overall, 4.5 stars for drinks and service, 2 stars for food so 3 stars in average. The menu has potential but lacks the ability to execute.

Back in December I celebrated my 40th Birthday at Regina's with family & friends. We had an amazing time! The food was wonderful, staff were so friendly and couldn't do enough for us. We were a big group of 20 and everyone enjoyed the whole experience. I highly recommend this venue.

After a horrible experience at a local hotel we were staying at (and actually walked out of the hotel restaurant) we searched locally and didn't think we had a chance of getting a table, Friday night at around 9pm, walked in and straight away given a table. It's the best meal I've had since i can remember. Beautiful selection of food right across the board. What really impressed me was how hot the food was and lasted till the last mouthful! Don't know how it's done. Went there because i had business meeting in the area. I will be going there again, it's definitely worth the 108 mile round trip.!!

Booked a table for 10 for my wife’s birthday, they would have scored a 5 but they missed a 7 year olds Marguerite pizza, the simplest order of the party and it was the last meal to arrive. That said all the dishes were excellent and the waiter was first class and extremely apologetic about the pizza which we were not charged for. Would definitely go back!

Really slow service (arrived at 740 for a 745 table, wasn’t seated until 820), nibbles never arrived but we were still charged (they did remove it from the bill), the upstairs needs remodelling to stop most of the tables cramped and being in a corridor.

Had a lovely Christmas meal with friends. There was dancing also but it was separated which meant that my husband was able to chat and hear as he does not really enjoy dancing. Although a little on the expensive side the food was fantastic and the service excellent. The evening was spoiled a little by the 15% service charge that was added to the bill because we were a group of 8+. Had this been pointed out to us in the beginning instead of descreetly wiring it in the till receipt at the end at least we would have been aware. Yes it did say it in the small print on the menu buy why do restaurants insist on trying to hide this from us. They should be more up front. The bill was almost £300 and there would have been a generous tip for the waiting staff but because of the fact every effort was made to try and hide this charge from us I am marking it down. A real shame because it is a great little restaurant serving amazing food. We were only visiting the area. I would visit again but not with a big party because I don't agree with service charges. These people make ample money as it is. It should always be to the descretion of the customer whether or not they to for the service.

Love this Italian! Specials are always great, but we tend to go for the bistecca reggina which is fillet steak stuffed with dolcelatte cheese and wrapped in Parma ham. It's amazing!
