We chose this because it was situated in a beautiful building and had great reviews. It is a stunning building and has been beautifully restored. Inside it has an upmarket feel to it but is unpretentious... We were greeted on the door and then taken upstairs, what an incredible space The menu is really nice not too many of anything... Around 10 pasta, same pizza, not just the traditional some a little different which was really nice I had the linguine gamberetti and my other half had a steak Diane which was extra special and the chips.. Well every restaurant should make chips like these!! We loved the whole experience and then ended up on the rooftop bar for cocktails... Perfect Excellent service fromm all the staff

Can. Not. Believe. It. It was a amazing experience with great service with yummy food, my main thing was the oysters and seafood because they were my favourites and it was amazing also the desert tiramisu was amazing! Definitely recommend this place!

A must visit in Warrington. After a car show we did not know where to go. The booking was taken by Juliana. Which was very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant is set in a beautiful historic of the remaining of the Treasury building. Situated above Las Ramblas in the remainder of the Treasury Building, is San Lorenzo, Charlie’s Cicchetti Bar and The Terrace. Combining genuinely authentic Italian cuisine, cocktails created by our resident mixologists and Venetian small plates, it’s a place people have come to love. With our open kitchen, wood-fired ovens and the unique marble bar, guests enjoy a truly unique and decadent Italian experience. From Venetian Bellini, freshly prepared pasta to Sunday Roast Family Feast. The kitchen given an interest flavour of how the food is prepared with care and cleaners. Peter served us with great courtesy and professional manners. The menu is so varied that will suit any taste. Wealchair accessible and lifts are available.

Beautifully developed listed building, excellent menu choices, great service and fantastically flavoursome food. We had the surf and turf sharer of a whole lobster thermador and fillet steak with sides of garlic mushrooms, long stem broccoli with garlic and chilli and a fresh salad - it was absolutely gorgeous!!

We've had an early dinner there about 4pm, and the restaurant was not busy. We got a warm welcome and all the staff were nice. Overall we've spent 2 hours in there and enjoyed a range of drinks and food. Can safely say that the pizza is pretty good quality. If you're getting drinks, starters, mains and desserts then you can expect the cost to add up quickly. However, the experience was very pleasant. The place is gorgeous and we are sure to come back at some point.

Visited the gin and cigar terrace and was hugely impressed. The server was fantastic, recommended cocktails and was attentive throughout. Lovely small plate selection, would definitely recommend the lobster BLT and tempura shrimp. Fab cocktails, especially the salted caramel espresso martini in a beautiful relaxed setting. Will definitely visit again next time I'm in Warrington.

An amazing meal. Attentive staff, wonderful cocktails (I could not recommend the peach bellini enough) and great food. For starter I had the mozzarella carrozza which was very nice (picture attached) and the table also shared the charcuterie board which was great but very very big portion wise (picture also attached). Then for mains we had the pizza and the spaghetti and meatballs which didn't disappoint either. Overall a wonderful dinner out.

Spur of the moment visit. We were passing through Warrington and searched Google for an Italian restaurant with good reviews. This restaurant was excellent; so good we plan to return next time we are in the area. Pizza was as good as any from Italy.

My wife had booked this place a month in advance for the whole family. This place most certainly was worth it. The staff and chefs were very polite. The building itself was elegant and had a rustic feel to the place, exposed brick, large visible wood beams and extremely large windows. As my family and I were the first to arrive we had a chance to talk to the chefs who were down to earth. They also did not skimp on the portion sizes for any of the roast meat. My serving was enough for 2 people alone! For anyone who have children, would choose Pork, Chicken or Turkey as the beef was medium to rare. Not really suitable for children in my opinion. The large variety of food catered for most certainly everyone in the restaurant ranging from salads to seafood. Food ordered at the table included fresh pizza and fresh made lasagna. The desert and sweets area was a nice touch. My boys enjoyed the chocolate and sweets. Overall a highly delightful experience and place to eat. P.s. the men's urinal was a first for me. It's loaded with a lot of ice 🤣

Ordered from the £5 lunch menu, which has good choices of pasta, pizza and salads and is a real bargain. Had a couple of gorgeous pizzas and a king prawn linguine. Also ordered desserts, which were equally delicious. My daughter was especially taken with the chocolate sauce that came with her profiteroles. Said it was like liquid chocolate brownie!

I had a fantastic dinning experience here. I booked a table in advance because thats what people do! Got a high chair waiting for my lil one by ours. The staff were very courteous and friendly. Service speed was mixed. Had our starters pronto! Mains were a bit slow but it was a friday evening. Deserts were great and timely. I would recommend San Lorenzo to anyone who likes good food and a fancy place.

We had a bit of an issue with the service with one of the waitresses suggesting a family member "attacked her" after her being told the dining party couldn't be seated together. It was quite disappointing being told on arrival they would be split to seperate sides of the restaurant, especially on a booking for a birthday.

Pizza is delightful 😊 the charcuterie board used to be a favourite but they changed it during the pandemic and that ruined the experience so not sure if it's worth trying again even though it used to be absolutely fantastic. I can't generally say the food is fab as I've been multiple times and even though I've tried smth different each time not one dish has blown my mind. It's good and worth a nice meal but don't expect fantastic. Just good.

The Terrace is a lovely open air venue and was perfect for our private hire business party. The service was impeccable and very entertaining. What a fine restaurant! This is. Good atmosphere and the setting and looks within with the open kitchen makes it worth visiting and having a nice dinner. Also the outside cozy terrace is a perfect for a drink after dinner, or dinner itself obviously. The only reason it's not getting a fifth star is to the fact that the amount of garlic in my food was above and beyond... Next time I'm in and the they changed that I'll definitely add the 5th star!

Absolutely love this restaurant. Lovely Italian menu in particular I enjoyed the shellfish platter and the pork (not all in one sitting, I have been here a few times!) On Sundays they do an all you can eat feast which is amazing including lobster, oysters, pizza & pasta made to order, selection of different meats and all the trimmings you would expect from a Sunday roast. A complimentary glass of prosseco on arrival is another lovely touch. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Decent wine & beer selection. Decor is very nice and you can see the chefs at work as the kitchen is in the main restaurant.

Good location, been a few times before. Staff attentive and service good. What let this visit down was the absolutely atrocious food. Too say over seasoned was an understatement. Firstly, brushetta was not toasted enough and drowned in pesto, calamari was good. Main course, salt baked sea bass, very good no problem, Pepe Verde medium rare was dry and overcooked. I ate about 4oz then gave up.Must have been sat waiting for the fish to be filleted. Over seasoned with salt. Sides, broccoli tasted only of salt...unpalatable for me. Garlic mushrooms....over salted again unpalatable. Ceasar salad over salted again unpalatable and zucchini undercooked. If the chefs have to put this much salt on a dish there is a problem with the food. A token £10 was knocked off the bill, and the staff member did offer a free desert which I declined. Spent £100 for 2 and left feeling hungry. Just unlucky tonight

Beautiful place, very expensive. I ordered garlic mushrooms for a starter on the sides and it was boiled mushrooms with a hint of garlic. The steak was over cooked when asked for medium rare and had such a fowl taste like it was off. Cocktails £10 for 2 sips of it. Then they had the nerve to charge me £40 service charge!!

Disappointing experience compared to the hype of other reviews. Good value lunch offer on paper, was hoping to use this as an opportunity to see if it would justify a return for an evening meal one day. Now not so sure. Pizza dough was tough an chewy, like it had been overworked, perhaps. Pasta dishes were OK but nothing special. Service forgot our drinks order and had to wait a long time to get the bill. Will be giving it some time before returning based on this experience.

My first visit here and I absolutely loved it. What a lovely building the decor was very grand but perfect for the restaurant. We went for the lunch time menu, again loved my food I had the chicken pesto pizza it was fabulous, I'm very particular about my pizza this really hit the spot a flavourful dough and topping. Great work guy's also the staff were attentive, I'd give 9/10. Also thought the bar area looked amazing I'm definitely coming back for a cocktail. Give yourselves a big pat on the back!

I just absolutely love the terrace. The standard of service, quality of food/drink as amazing and done to such a high level you feel like you are in a 5 star restaurant. They have cigars for you to order and they will cut it and light it for you. They have heaters over every seat so you are bound to be warm. The cover is retractable so if it's a sunny day you will be in the sun all day

Met friends yesterday for our first lunch in an age and also the first time I had been back to San Lorenzo since 8th March 2020, as a treat because of a cancelled trip to Italy. Who knew it would be such a long time. The staff were really friendly greeting us on arrival and bringing the drinks order over promptly. My cider over ice went down a treat on a warm day. Guiding us to our table, giving us time to decide on our food and after ordering bringing freshly prepared hot out of the pan dishes to the table. The busy open kitchen keeping us entertained while we waited chatting and catching up on each others' news. The prawns in my linguine were so succulent. Everyone had something different but all were delicious without exception. I helped a friend out with her pizza taking a slice to mop up the juices. The house white was lovely and thought the offer from the waitress to try it was a nice touch as it would have been the same as if we had ordered the most expensive bottle, together with the offer of table water to keep us hydrated. A well made espresso macchiato finished the meal perfectly. The waitress checked on us a few times without being obtrusive and didn't rush us out whilst observing Covid rules. I don't know how they can offer such value without skimping on portions or quality. I felt like I'd spent a couple of hours in Italy.

Had great expectations as this was owned by same people who have the amazing Grill on the Square, and Las Ramblas, both where we have been many times and always had the most fabulous food combined with great ambiance and lovely staff. This had none of those qualities. However, we had a drink beforehand on the gorgeous gin terrace which was lovely. We were celebrating our anniversary, this was never mentioned, or acknowledged by staff and they seemed quite miserable. It was also very warm and not could not feel air con. Food was adequate, but very overpriced and have had much better elsewhere. For almost £400, did not live up to the hype. Would return to the gin terrace but not the restaurant.

After dining at this restaurant for the last few years, we had hoped for another great meal this evening. Sadly, the frozen calamari and un-dressed mozzarella starter hinted at the poor effort waiting to be delivered for our main course. The prawn linguini was tasteless to the point my partner considered a PCR test on the way home, and I can only assume that the current HGV driver shortages is to blame for the 5 (counted) slithers of portabello mushroom and sole bacon rasher posing as 'cured ham'. Thankfully, the wine and apologies were pretty good, and earned the extra star; but the staff seemed pretty well versed in their offers of a complimentary dessert in renumeration suggesting that our experience is one shared by several others.

However, the drinks are expensive, as is the cost of food at £35.00 per head. While the food is nice it is not Michelin star quality with waitress service. When reflecting on what our party had eaten we came to the conclusion that at £25.00 per head it would have been about right. We cannot justify the extra £10 per head. Would we go again? Yes, we have been, with a 15 month gap between visits. If it was £25 we would probably go every couple of months. There are so many restaurants out there, some of them very good value at affordable prices means that we will continue to visit this one infrequently.

The venue is amazing, nice to see an old building actually being used instead of being converted into apartments. The service here is a tad slow and their card machines don't seem to work unless you're stood in one particular spot in the building so that's a bit annoying. The food and drink seems nice but you have to wait a while to actually get it, which is a shame, it didn't seem short staffed but I did notice that the bar was downstairs so this may have contributed to the slow speed for our drinks (almost 15 minutes) Other than that it was an all round pleasant evening here, I'd recommend if you're not rushed!

We have been to the pizza and prosecco brunch before and loved it however we went this Saturday and it was not up to the usual standard. It took half an hour for us to receive our first pizza and another half to receive our second for four people very hungry at an unlimited pizza meal this was too long to wait! We did get a reason that there restaurant was very busy but if you are offering unlimited pizza you should be able to provide it which in this case you were not. When it came to the bill we had paid the compulsory deposit which had not been taken off the bill we had to request this was removed from our bill before we paid it. However the pizza was very good quality and they did provide us with a bottle of prosecco when our time was finished but compared to other visits to San Lorenzo we left disappointed.

Had a lovely meal here on a Wednesday night. Great environment. I had the early dining menu - calamari to start and meatball pasta main. Calamari had a nice light batter and you could tell the meatballs were handmade - fresh, juicy and plenty of them! The sauce was lovely and rich. I tried my friends mushroom risotto which had a lot of mushroom and nutty flavour - delish. We had the two bottles of house wine for £25 and the wine was decent - a good deal. The only reason I've not given 5 stars is the back of the black wooden dining chairs are very uncomfortable, and they really let the luxury feel of the place down. I think the owner of this place also owns Grill on the Square and Las Ramblas where they also have these horrible chairs. I'm interested to see if the quality of the food dips at a busier time e.g. weekends. Which I have experienced before now at Las Ramblas. Ciao

We booked a table for 7:30 and upon arriving the head waitress said there was no booking, we where then seated in the corner of the bar without a menu or a drinks list, the lady then came back saying she could arange a table for us within 15 minuets,at 8 o'clock, a man working behind the bar gave us complimentary drinks (may I say all the bar staff where lovely) she then at 8 ish took us to our table where we ordered at about 8:15 and finally got some drinks! Are food came at 9 o'clock, we orders the scallop calamari and prawn starter. We only got TWO scallops! TWO! On a sharing platter. We ate quickly because we where starving at this point and the main meal came and it was delicious, slightly cold, and they gave us chips that we didn't order and won't be paying for! Would recommend on quiter days but would highly recommend getting better staff!
