Needed a plumber at very short notice to fix an issue with our shower which meant we were without water. Commercial investigation to a leak - Company are super quick and very professional (would give 10 stars if we could). The gentleman that came over James did a thorough investigation and produced a detailed report to an emergency water leak in the building. He checked all water mains and piping coming into the building through the ceiling between 2 floors. Having such a valued asset to the team is what makes these guys so good at what they do. My boiler decided to give up the ghost a few weeks ago leaving me in a wild panic with no hot water or heating. After having to take emergency leave I was turned away by numerous services who were either fully booked or told me flatly my boiler would need total replacement as spares were no longer available. A friendly neighbour even lent a hand to no avail. Thankfully I found Platinum. I called the out of hours number and was greeted by James who couldn't have been more reassuring, professional or open. He came the next evening and meticulously Q&'A's the circumstances to find that a replacement part (yes, it was available!) was needed to get it up-and-running. Once ordered, this was fitted at my convenience and he got my boiler functioning again as soon as possible. He was totally transparent that this was an interim measure and recommended I would need another part ordering and service soon or would face the same problem reoccurring. There was no hard sell and, although yes, the emergency prices are premium too, they were fully explained with no hidden costs or tricks and you certainly get what you pay for. I thoroughly recommend James who was courteous, competent and punctual (it was also a pleasure to deal with Odette, who handled my re-booking on the phone professionally and promptly) and will be re-booking in the new year to get the job finished as recommended.

Our boiler stopped working yesterday. We called out an emergency plumber from First National Associates who basically told us there were multiple issues with the boiler which would make it uneconomical to fix and he recommended us changing to a brand new boiler which would set us back £4000. He said he needed 50% payment upfront and asked I transferred the money to him there and then (whilst he was standing in my kitchen checking his mobile phone banking app) in order for him to guarantee a new boiler before Christmas. I had serious doubts about this plumber - came across very pushy and salesman like and all the alarm bells were ringing. Thankfully I didn't go ahead with this although he tried all sorts of scaremongering tactics (basically told us our house would blow up if we didn't get it sorted asap!). I then found Platinum Emergency Services and spoke to James who was the complete opposite to my first encounter. James was professional, thorough and reassuring. He came to check the boiler the following morning and all the so-called faults listed by the first plumber were not founded. He guided us through all the jargon and explained the workings of our boiler so we know how to troubleshoot. Within the first half hour James had our boiler working - and the total cost of his service was shy of £400...as opposed to £4000 that I could so easily have been conned into parting with! Honest, skilled and professional tradesmen are hard to find and James is an absolute gem. Now that we have experienced his level of service, we will not be going to any other plumber ever again.

Can only recommend! Burst two radiator copper pipes while sanding floors on Sunday night. James promptly arrived within an hour at the property and in just over two hours, he drained the whole heating system lifted floorboards with minimal damage to floor, replaced the pipes and set the whole system working again. Brilliant job - quick and expertly done by a friendly and professional engineer.

James worked quickly and efficiently to diagnose and fix the problem (failing hot water, weak heat), all the while explaining how the heating system worked and what he was doing to repair it. I appreciated the inclination to repair rather than replace boiler parts when possible as well as the careful attention to detail. When we had questions later the same day and even a few days later, James was patiently willing to explain and even dropped by to ensure that everything was OK. All around top notch work from a group of true professionals. The hourly pricing system means that we ended up paying a hefty bill (over £400 for 3 hours) but it was well worth it.

Fantastic service from Platinum Emergency Services today. The engineer James called me to let me know he was on his way and how long he would be. When he arrived he quickly located the cause of my boiler failure, he explained what he had found and what he needed to do to too rectify the problem. Once the work was completed he was able to offer advice on other non-urgent issues that he had noticed with my heating system and tips for heating the house more efficiently. He made sure all questions I had were answered and that I was happy with everything before he left. 10/10 would use again and really recommend giving them a call if your boiler packs in and your left without hot water!

They thought they had fixed the problem but when it continued they came back and fixed it free of charge. Sheldon was SO lovely and worked hard the whole time he was here.
