Lovely meal. Recommend the paella. Beautiful old pub. Nice atmosphere. Ample car parking service was very good As we arrived early for our booked table our starters we re slow to appear due to the kitchen being extremely busy. However i take this as a recommendation because so many people were there. I will definitely return.

Visited this pub on a whim last night - our usual pub couldn’t seat us for a meal until an hour later.
Our meals were generously portioned, piping hot and delicious and were obviously made with good quality, fresh ingredients! One member of our party was gluten free and had plenty of meals to choose from.
Thanks go to the staff who were polite and attentive and there was a good sized car park at the back of the pub.
After being disappointed at not eating at our usual pub we have inadvertently found a new favourite! We will be back!

Fantastic pub, beautifully set up inside, delicious food, excellent service and reasonable pricing, large beer garden, highly recommended.

Agatha and David's Spanish Tapas is excellent and never disappoints.
If you enjoy Spanish tapas and hearty rustic food then I highly recommend you try the Horse and Groom. There was 11 for dinner of us, 8 adults and 3 children. We all had a selection of starters from the tapas menu, as usual this did not disappointed. The steamed mussels in white wine and Spanish green sauce were perfectly cooked and particularly moreish, having some hearty rustic bread to dip into the sauce just made it all the more authentic. If your a fan of seafood then this is a must. Agatha and her her staff were very attentive and accomadating ensuring we all had a pleasant experience. Each main course was excellent and could not be faulted in any way. I shared a seafood paella with my sister which was excellent, full of mussels, clams, squid and prawns. The paella rice was flavoursome, creamy and still had a slight bite to it, it also had a thin layer of toasted, slightly caramelized rice on the bottom of the pan called the socarrat which added to the flavour. 10 out of 10 to you Agatha, and your staff another excellent meal. I feel its quite rare to go out for dinner In such a large group and for every element of our meal experience not to be faulted. Can't wait to return.

Nice pub in a great position. Went for a wake so only had a buffet meal. Green King IPA which wasn't brilliant, but when is it ever?
I can see why it's popular and the staff are friendly and helpful

Nice village pub very popular with locals. I would have given it 5 but for the cleaning equipment coming out at the end of the night whilst people were still enjoing their drinks! The smell of disinfectant let's you know you're no longer welcome which was a shame as we loved our visit up until then.

Fantastic! The food menu is Spanish inspired, and executed really well. We had the chocos (cuttlefish) to start, which were fresh and delicious, then the mussels and seafood kebab for mains, again both delicious and authentic. The staff were super friendly, the wine list was well put together (we had the Malbec which was priced keenly and was delicious) and the location felt lovely and rural despite being so close to Bedford. Wonderful!

Fabulous meal and very good Customer Service. We were not rushed even though it was a Friday evening. Great wine selection. Highly recommended.

Lovely food, reasonable prices, friendly staff. Dog friendly. Huge garden with quiet seating down the bottom which is great for our dog who can be reactive to other dogs.
