L. J.Visited on a Saturday evening and the place was vibrant and buzzing. Great service and beer prices very reasonable. Bought two pints of Beavertown Neck Oil and got change from a tenner. In my local, the Royal Oak Eydon, the same beer is £6.20 a pint!
N. G.Loved the venue, staff were really helpful and pub was really clean, Owners were polite and we were there for a teenage cancer Trust and the macmillan, which is close to their hearts, Great of money was raised, so we'll done, will definitely go there again.

K. S.Spent the afternoon in The Old Sun today! It was freezing outside, so it was a welcome break from the weather!
Had a warm welcome when we stepped through the door! Fire was roaring!
It was quiet as the rugby was on!
We had the fabulous mulled wine that was on offer, and ordered ourselves the nachos, which were one of the best we've had!!
It started to get busy once the rugby finished and we decided to order ourselves another plate of nachos!
Looking forward to trying the fish finger sandwich next time I'm in!
The Old Sun is finding its feet since the pandemic, and we all have to adjust! This is definitely going to be my new local, and we really need to support local Ampthill businesses!
I.Great outdoor area to enjoy their various drinks. Was not too crowded. Bit pricey but that's ok. Staff was always friendly.
W. T.Beautifully redecorated recently. Great range of beers. Beavertown Neck Oil at a reasonable price (for "craft beer"). Bit shy on the real ale offering with only Tribute but that may be due to these troubling times. Great with the dog, offering drinks and treats. Excellent outside space with limited parking and easy access to a great kebab house next door. Not sure what else you can ask for!

H. N.The old sun is a beautiful pub in ampthil with the finest decor and service. We watched the England game and although extremely busy. The atmosphere and staff were warm and efficient. Will definitely be returning as soon as possible!
