Went to the rose today to try their new menu. First impressions were amazing Alex behind the bar gave great service and considering was first day of new food a drinks menu was very knowledgeable of the new items. We tried 2 of the new burgers both looked amazing and tasted great. Would highly recommend the low and slow burger. Alex noticed I was getting towards the end of my pint and asked if I wanted another and brought it over to me. Excellent eye for details and great service, that you don't always get on high street pubs. Would highly recommend and looking forward to trying some of the other dishes.

As an afternoon drinker, I found this establishment very welcoming. The beer was excellent and, although I didn't eat, the menus looked very appetising. The prices were reasonable and the staff, both helpful and professional. I will definitely visit again.

We visited a few weeks ago for my birthday night out. I am on crutches and have limited movement at the moment so I was a bit worried about how it was going to go but it was an excellent night! The staff were friendly, helpful and kind to me whilst I hobbled around and management ensured I was comfortable and well looked after. It really did make all the difference. We never had empty glasses on our table as they were cleared away promptly and the service when ordering from the table was the quickest I have experienced. It ended up being a great night out and I'm so grateful to you all :)

Staying at a local hotel I was looked for a decent pint and a bite to eat in the evening. I came across The Rose. Nice ales, a great burger and lovely staff. Quick service, as I had barely pressed PAY on the app and someone was there, at my table. Staff were attentive and thoughtful. It looks like the kind of place that gets busy late in the evening but was reasonable quiet when I was here. A great find.

Thanks for the usual Friday eat up and piss up. Cod and chips (small shark size) excellent. Great variety of alcoholic beverages to get drunk with. The peach schnapps was a new experience. Orchard thieves a satisfying cider. Miss the Hop House 13 (thank you Guinness for its removal). Why has Estrella gone?!!!! Staff always kind and attentive. Not many places where I'm called "Sir". Hope it's not through gritted teeth!

The Rose is superb! Excellent pub run beautifully. Staff are amazing, they make you feel welcome by greeting you with a smile. A staff member there helped me with a problem and it was handled professionally. I believe his name was Leroy. Another memeber of staff named Tanesha was very helpful in helping me select a very good Rum for a session I was having with my friends. This is the type of customer service that the rose provides and all I can say is excellent.

Went there for their bottomless brunch with a group of 12. What a brilliant afternoon! Drinks were flowing, gormet food quality which was superb. We all had a superb time. Would definitely go there again.

Ok selection of beer but it is quite expensive. However the food whilst it was really flavoursome was absolutely miniscule. We ordered two tasty tacos and for the price I expected a fair amount. However I was very disappointed as they were more the size of Dim Sum than a soft taco.

Love the rose! Always fun on a Friday or Saturday night. Suits everyone’s forte. Good if your looking for the lively communal bench to sit and talk or for a good dance! Dance floor is cramped however and always a mess on the floor but always best vibes. Drinks a bit pricey but I like the app

It's ok, yet my only concern is the establishment being able to host disabled or customers with limited mobility. They have a good menu with a strong drinks selection. Plus, they do have a verry spacious disabled toilet, which if you're like me, it's an absolute bonus!!! I'v seen in the pub a that they have an upstairs part, but as I hardly go there, I don't know if it's additionall seating or private quarters. All in all, a nice quaint pub, that's holding it's own, with the catchy line & I quote to you; "Rose 'til Close". Simple but straight to the point.

In Before temporarily and thought the Rose was a pretty good place. Seems to be where quite a few of the locals come to drink on the weekend. We turned up at 7 and got straight in. Other places were already full. Got busy around 9ish. Guess it can get rowdy sometimes as a decent amount of pint sinking was going on but all was good while we were there. The staff I met were all really nice. 👍

A lovely place with lovely, friendly staff. The place has and will for a long time be the place to be in Bedford on a night out; starting from the predrinks all the way to when all the places are closing down. The drinks are affordable and singles actually taste like they have alcohol in it (so you're getting you money's worth) and the atmosphere is always lively and busy (for a reason!!) The doormen and the staff are top notch and carry the friendly and fun atmosphere throughout the day. This is definitely a top tier place to go while going out in Bedford. I also liked how they were keen to strictly follow the government guidelines during the pandemic to keep every customer and staff safe while still being an entertaining place to be. It's safe to say that they care about the happiness and health of their customers, and I'm happy to call this the best place to be right now if you're cautious but still looking for a great night out!

Was in the rose the other night for the football and I was really surprised at the quality of service during my stay , especially from Hannah who even offered table service through the penalty shootout so we didn’t miss out on the big upset!

I went to the Rose on Tuesday to watch the England game and it was great! my server, who was called Charley, gave me great service all evening and even had a great sense of humour about her! I would go back just for her. Can not recommend more.

The service was good and the food arrived very quickly however the highchairs they gave us were not clean and obviously hadn't been cleaned in a while which I had a big issue with. The staff were friendly and the manager was super nice but I didn't understand why I was charged full price when they are participating in the government eat/drink out scheme maybe it's because I didn't order food but I stopped by for drinks only and possibly the scheme works with food & drinks to get the 50% discount. I'm not sure I wish you could get reduced drinks at the pubs their trade would massively increase! I had a really good experience here. I had around a 30 mins wait for a friend so dipped into the nearest pub I could find. I had visited once before but it was packed on a club night so not exactly representative of a typical service. The prices were pretty reasonable (£3 for a Doom Bar) and the service was really polite and pretty prompt. They're very COVID-aware if that what's you're into - you'll be given a full tour of the venue and explanation of the measures in place. Overall, would definitely visit again. It's not a date venue by any stretch but for a couple of pints with a mate or for before a night out it's very congenial!

We came on the 5th July during the day. It was pretty easy and straightforward. We didn't have to qué, a member of staff explained the one way system and the rules etc. We completed our contact details via an app and he sat us down. We then used an app to order drinks. They aren't doing food at the moment. The drinks come really quick. We sat in the garden and it was pretty busy. It felt quite nice having a pint in a beer garden after 4 months. I wouldn't come here at night though while we are still social distancing. I can imagine there's alot of people not able to follow basic rules. All in all, if you're want to get out, give the rose a try.

After 45 minutes of looking around for somewhere to have an evening meal with a mate who was adamant he needed to watch the football; we chose this place on a whim as we were walking past and it ticked both boxes. Staff were warm and friendly both when ordering at the bar and the waiting staff. The atmosphere was great whilst the game was on and there was a view of some form of TV screen from almost every direction. Food was good and I felt it was good value for money.

Rather sports orientated, but not oppressively so. Good service from Adriano and some honest advice about food. The menu is super cheap with great pizzas. We spent about three hrs there. Especially good is the pints of craft beer for £3, having had several !! Normally much more expensive in other pubs. Toilets could do with attention (very whiffy despite fans on full blast).

Hey, The Rose is there when you need it, which is at night time, any day! Drinks are cheap, it's in the middle of everything so a good pit stop on a night out. It even has a dance floor if you're looking to start the party whilst your there. I recommend that you sit outside though in the sizeable garden as it gets REALLY packed in there.
