Reviews of The Star & Garter
I. S.
Really friendly pub, great bar staff and a couple of ales on tap. Didn't have the chance to try the food but I'll likely be back. Felt like a well run, organised pub with enthusiastic staff. Pic of the longriders who were playing that night.
A. H.
We just called in for a quick Lunch time drink, and were pleasantly surprised by the sélection of non alcoholic Wines and Beers. Staff all very helpful and welcoming. We will certainly be back to try Food, and Live Music Evening

Went to watch the football, so limited experience. Nice pub, good beer! Food looked ok and plenty of people in. Happy vibe, looked like a nice pub garden( it was dark) in the lovely village of Silsoe, very near to English Heritage Wrest Park, so could have a day there, then eat and a pint in here. Solid
M. M.
Nice Pizzas and the pub quiz was lots of fun. The host of the quiz was Andrew Turnbull and he did a really good job.

Very limited menu, but what we had was tasty. The staff were all wonderful and friendly, which made it very comfortable to walk into. It’s also a dog friendly pub.

Village pub that had been closed until recently. At time of writing has opened just as a pub having previously also served meal's, but hopefully to follow.
Pleasant interior, friendly staff, nice place for a drink and chat with friends.
C. B.
Great initiative and great to know the pub is firmly back on the map.
Coffee was excellent and cakes have a big thumbs-up, even if a bit unsympathetic to the waistline !!
Would like to see a less chocolaty and/or less sweet option but will definitely be back.
G. L.
A really nice friendly pub. A superb range of drinks and cakes, the Pizzas look really good and we're flying out when we visited . Really helpful staff.

Very friendly. Nice atmosphere. Excellent value for money meals. Large portions. Ask for 'well done' chips and they'll accommodate those of you who like your chips extra crispy!

5th July 2014. Sunday Lunch was disappointing, Service was very slow although the restaurant only had one other table occupied. Dirty plates remained on the table until we asked for them to be removed, intentions were to have desert but after chasing the waiter for menus decided to decline due to length of time this could take.
J. M.
Delicious, fairly priced traditional pub food. Great daily specials. Fantastic friendly service.
M. C.
The staff are very friendly and welcoming, yet I don't feel would tolerate any nonsense. A great boon to the village.

We had both my grandparents wakes there and they are sympathetic and the food served has a vast range to suit every one only place after a funeral where the food has all been eaten not wasted because of boring dry sandwiches only
E. C.
