S. B.Great food, great service. Only had soft drink as driving. the refurbishment is lovely. Very handy and free parking. Didn't have to book for lunch, just dropped in. Bit pricey for what we ate, but nowhere else is any better value.
B. C.We had an exceptional meal here yesterday, I don’t normally write reviews but thought that this place deserved it. I had the pork belly with scallops & it was just superb. My compliments to the chefs & staff & we will most definitely be back in the near future.
P. S.Excellent food, reasonably priced. Attentive and friendly staff. Called in Saturday late afternoon fearing we wouldn't be taken as the place was buzzing however very friendly gentleman showed us to the bar area, restaurant being fully booked. A new menu I believe, we will certainly be back to sample more of the delights on offer.

R. M.Nice ambience and very cool bar. Food was good and the service was very friendly. Started with so tasty mushroom soup. Had 28 days steak, which was very lovely and had good portion. The chunky chips was very crispy and tasty. Booking was avaliable, so no queues. Used eat out scheme, which was value for money. Ambient car park and had outside seating for drinks.

G. M.Owners have made a really good job of the refurb of the old King's Head. Have eaten twice here whilst watching the match, great selection of wines and even a bottled gluten free beer (used to be on tap). Irish Coffees are also good. Good perhaps do with a few more front of house staff.
B. P.Myself and 3 friends went for lunch today to celebrate a 40th birthday . The staff couldn't have been nicer, letting us put balloons round the table, bringing over a surprise glass of fizzy for the birthday girl when she arrived and later
bringing out the birthday cake we had brought.The food was delicious , Thanks again.👏👏
M. E.Was ok for food, served fries big dollop of mayo on it wasn't great infact spoilt it. Did say to waitress got a sorry that was it £4.50 ruined. Could be a bit quicker serving I had to ask for bill
l. t.Despite being super busy and the fact that we had to sit outside because of covid restrictions, our food arrived within 10 minutes of ordering and was well presented and delicious. The staff were courteous and professional and they all wore masks. I would eat here agsin and recommend to friends and family.

J. A.Very good transformation from the somewhat tired Kings Head into an excellent cafe/bar at the front and bar to the rear plus a great Italian restaurant upstairs. The service has been brilliant every time. The menu is very good with all tastes catered for and all food is cooked on the premises by a proper chef, and it really shows! Properly prepared food by someone what cares, can't speak highly enough of this place!

R. H.Went in on a verbal recommendation. Was met by a friendly greeting. I got presented with a wide-ranging menu. My selection was the 'honey and cider glazed ham'. And what a portion. I gave up all thoughts of a dessert!
Bottom line - nice ambiance; friendly, cheery staff; menu to suit most tastes and not over-priced. I enjoyed my visit; it's a shame I won't get back as this was on a short visit to Belfast.

J. J.Lovely meal for 9 people. Had a sirloin with fries and pepper sauce. Nice restaurant, plain simple decor. Others had pizza which looked very good and according to those who ate it said it was very good. Menu wasnt too large and had a enough choices. Staff very friendly and welcoming. No problem recommending restaurant.
a. l.I along with five others had a meal in the Doyne early October 20. Due to covid we asked to be seated outside in the area which has access to an awning. Staff especially Rebecca (hope I've got her name right) who was very pleasant, were very attentive, wore face coverings throughout our visit and couldn't have been more helpful re facilitating our social distancing requirements.
Each of us had a lovely meal and in current times of Covid we felt very safe in the Doyne environment. We look forward to returning again soon

I also don't think it's right that you can't get outside catering in, when you're prices are so high for platters...
Prices of drinks shock me, I find it very expensive for a cocktail or even a shandy... I would understand it if the location was more central and trying to compete with others but there are bars and eateries further down the Lisburn road alot cheaper, I say bring back the old king's head prices for drinks... décor is stunning, and the smoking area is grand. Staff all professional and courteous
C. M.Lovely wee bar and it was only £3.50 a pint when I visited on a sunday afternoon around 3ish 😲 for belfast that's very good usually at least £5 per pint in most belfast bars. Didnt have food but were plenty in eating so I imagine it is good or woukdnt have been as busy. Lovely wee outside seating area as well with heaters for cold days
N. C.Having been to the Doyen several times since its new opening I have had not one bad experience. Ok...there were a few bedding in problems but that was to be expected. The staff are settling in well...(greeted by my first name which is nice!!) and the food is simply excellent. The sports screens and the live music all add to ambiance of the place. Parking no problem. Even overnight if needed I would imagine!!
Roll on Thursday Friday Saturday Sunday and Monday for a festival of soccer and rugby!!

C. W.Newly refurbished. Went here for lunch. The menu was very good. They also do coffees as well, if you are looking for just some coffee and snacks. I didn't get a chance to go upstairs, but I've been told it is very nice.
L. M.We are just back from a lovely Sunday lunch at The Doyen. My husband's roast beef and veg was the best he's had out and about, the beef was so tender and full of flavour. My mushroom parpadelle was so creamy and also full of flavour. I love the decor, so luxuriant and cosy too. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful especially when we kept changing our minds at the till about what part to sit in lol. We will be returning!!
A. W. H.Great refurb from the King's head. Outside area is biggest change. Has booths to sit in and be private but also an open area also tvs available to watch sports, I'd say one of the modern outside /beer gardens I've been in. Also a fire pit. Inside has main bar and booth also for food. Low lighting inside sets ambience nicely. Seats are comfortable. Staff missed an order but quickly noticed before we did and could not apologise enough. Good food menu my party particularly enjoyed the club sandwich. Plenty of parking as well. Definitely worth a visit for lunch/dinner and relaxed drinks.
A. O.Food upstairs and service you could not fault but going downstairs after was totally shocking. We thought we would have a drink after dinner to finish they day. The back bar was lined with people tapping cards or waving money. The bar staff seem to be on a go slow. I waited and waited with no joy. So decided to walk 2 metres to the front bar. Only to be welcomed stright away. The girl then informed me pints are £3.30 were i was but for her to get me a pint the price went up to £4.70. Even know the beer came from the same tap. Totally take on and shocked. Especially after what we had just spent up stairs. Ill not be going back anytime soon. And this was during the afternoon. Not even a busy friday evening.
c. e.What a gem to find! Bar café, restaurant and bar area are well comfortable and wheelchair accessible. Prices are available for all pockets. Menus are varied and interesting, you must try the Venison Wellington! Large car park and wide door entry. Definitely heading to a few, if not 5 Michellen stars!

A.Very good menu, great staff, family friendly & all round very good place for anything from just a coffee (very good range of coffee with a qualified barrister who knows his stuff) or tea (proper tea too, their own blend) to a full meal. Excellent breakfast menu, nice kids play area . Excellent decor plus comfy seats recommend this place
P. V.Just refurbished we ate the the bar very comfy seating. Menu and food excellent no problem getting menu for food intolerance ie gluten free. Friendly helpful staff. Bit pricey more suitable for special occasions but well worth it

P. S.Used to be a regular at the King's Head a few years back but it started attracting a rough crowd so I mainly went to Tatu/Lily's/Albany. In its new form, The Doyen, it has really upped it's game. Good crowd, good music, reasonable prices.

P.(Translated) Today I visited it after transformation from the former King Heads restaurant. This place is in a very good location where you can easily get there. The building and its interior are designed very well. The interior design, colors and accessories make you want to stay there. We ordered a few dishes from the menu, which were very well prepared and tasty, the only one was the berry tart was terribly dry, kept too long in the oven during heating, and mascarpone ice cream not my flavors, seafood and fish strongly noticeable spices, herbs , lemon and garlic well cooked pasta.

Dziś odwiedziłem, to miejsce po transformacji z dawnej restauracji King Heads. To miejsce znajduje się w bardzo dobrej lokalizacji gdzie można z łatwością dojechać. Budynek jak i jego wnętrze jest zaprojektowane bardzo, dobrze. Wystrój wnętrza, kolory, dodatki sprawiają ze chce się tam przebywać. Zamówiliśmy kilka dan z karty, które były bardzo dobrze przyrządzone i smakowite, jedyne to tarta z jagód była okropnie sucha, za długo przytrzymana w piecu w czasie podgrzewania, i lody z mascarpone nie moje smaki, owoce morza jak i ryby mocno wyczuwalne przyprawy, zioła, cytryna i czosnek świetnie ugotowany makaron.
Bardzo dobrze przyrządzone jednym słowem poezja na talerzu.
Dziękuje.
Obsługa, miła sympatyczna, bez zarzutu.
