S. S.Really kind and lovely staff. Food took a while but chicken was worth the wait 🤤 will definitely go again when I'm in the area
J. N.Husband treated me to a romantic meal for Valentines Day. Staff were warm & friendly, meal was lovely. Donna the manager even hired a singer to make it more special, my husband even got up and danced! Great atmosphere will definitely return.
P. S.Standard hungry horse menu, food is as expected (cheap and cheerful) which is what is expected from such a venue.
Facilities are mostly always clean and tidy, with a good selection of well priced drinks.
Management and staff aren't very approachable and don't appear to be happy whilst working and service can be a little slow at times.
D. Z.Visited for breakfast for the first time. I had the standard full English and have to say I enjoyed every single bite. Nice sized portion and cooked with some love rather than thrown together. Staff are friendly, polite and courteous. Will be visiting here again soon.
M. G.Visited today for lunch. Had chicken kebab, while the food was tasty it was cold. Please serve the food a lot hotter and you would get the 5 stars. Chips were cold and chicken kebab definitely wasn't hot enough. No one came to ask if things were OK and bar staff where run off their feet so we didn't report it.
s. b.Lovely place, always a good atmosphere, food always good quality and decent value. Donna the manager can’t do enough for you and Callum behind the bar is always polite and remembers your name and what you drink. Brittany the supervisor is also more than happy to change table bookings for us and is always happy to accommodate our large family. FYI the quiz on a Sunday night is always good fun too.

Jen is always a smiley, bubbly presence in the pub and her service is always above and beyond. Special mention to Taylor and Luke from the kitchen too, the food was delivered quickly, served perfectly and tasted beautiful. :)
P.My local pub. Real good place to go to if you're looking for a lovely meal. Prices are good and there's a lot of deals and events during the week. Happy with the portion sizes for the money, I think it's well worth it! Staff are all very lovely and helpful too which is always lovely and why we always return! Overall a brilliant little place! Would recommend😊
D. H.Love Beeches Great Barr Hungry Horse menu talk about value for money. 2 meals £8.99 Winning! £1 more in walsall where i live the combination combo £8.69 also cheaper by £1. When yr on a budget its great was able to treat grandaughter for 10th birthday. There is a small play area for the little ones outside. My only criticisms my granddaughter chicken was dry and when we finished our meal we had to wait absolutely ages just for 1 desert (treat) I asked twice and the second time we were told 3 minutes. Thats what lost 1 star
K.Nice atmosphere. Massive pub inside split in two for families and those that want to wat and drink and the other half for those that just want a pub atmosphere. The staff are lovely and we really liked the food.
K.Had the jack burger with fried covered in nacho cheese and bacon and it was great. A little dry but very filling and a good meal. Staff asked for ID though which was weird as we were asked on entry. Staff were very polite and checked on us to see if everything was alright as well

It offers great food deals each day of the week on mains.
Good choice of food for adult as well as the young and old.
Plenty of seats whether eating or just drinking in the bar.

My partner doesn't usually like live music but even he was blown away and said he'd go see her again so will be keeping our eye out!! Staff were lovely and atmosphere was great 👍 thumbs up all round

A. R.My friend had his daughters sweet 16 at this pub it was really nice a great venue with everything you could ask for a massive outdoor area with a decent play area for the kids....the pubs quite big aswell and th e service is good....

V. C.A busy pub which only had tables outside at the time but wasn't an issue. Covid 19 there's a one way system in place, screens at tills and hand sanitiser avaliable. Ample parking was avaliable at the exterior of the pub. This pub is on the Perry Beeches area of Birmingham. The inside seemed to mainly consist of families and pubs.
The menu is very varied and you can order on the app here which was a great bonus. Service was excellent. The host charged me extra for something I did not have but they refunded me promptly as I did not point it out proactively.

A. H.Well set up decorations, calm atmosphere, good lightnings all round. Well plated dishes and delicious meals. However, the floor was not that tidy as there were food crumbs all over the floor and no one is attending to it for an hour that we were there for.
B. C.Really massive pub. Decent garden with lots of benches. Car park is small, but there is a lot of parking on the street.
Food was delicious and we got to use Tesco clubcard vouchers which was a bonus.
Staff were friendly. Will visit again.
B. H.I held the wake for my nans funeral here. The staff went above and beyond to help the day go as smooth as possible. The quality of service we received was amazing. The buffet we received was great value for money and delicious. Would highly recommend.

T.We visited today at the beeches pub , great barr , we come here regularly for food about once a week and we always get good food and great service , today was different tho we had the brilliant marie look after us and nothing was too much trouble for her, she was very pleasant and lovely and chatty and even got us a box to put our food in for our dog at home, she made the visit even better for us , I would reccomend this pub for great food great staff ( marie)and drink 👍😊👍😊
J. G.We meet here regularly for lunch and it is clean, well spaced out and feels safe.
All the staff are lovely, very helpful. Sometimes they don't have everything on the menu but that's the case with covid everywhere affecting deliveries, but there are always alternatives and plenty of choice.
Food arrived quickly and was good, also reordered extra drinks with no wait. Attentive but not in your face.
Staff are always friendly, especially the blonde lady who brings us our food and checks on us. She always has a little chat.
Nice place to meet friends for an inexpensive meal, sarnie or snack.
Only 2 disabled spaces which are sometimes both taken, annoying as I use a wheelchair van with ramp for my powerchair and need room away from main route through car park, but I'd say 4 times out of 5 I can get a space.
Disabled toilet is fantastic. You need a radar key, but it big enough to turn round in my power chair and lock and I can use it safely on my own with grab bars, sink and dryer. Independence matters!
Nothing stored in here either! As most places use their disabled loo as a dumping ground, but it's immaculate, always clean and the door locks properly, so one less thing to worry about!
Would recommend as the pub has a cosy easy going atmosphere.

B.We went on Monday for the fireworks night, we didn't know what to expect, and after being stuck on the M6 for an hour we arrived quite fed up, but the minute we walked in, the kid's faces lit up. We were welcomed by three members of staff on entry and straight away there was a buzz about the place. How they turned a Hungry Horse into that I'll never know... DJ, fairground rides, street food, stalls, it just went on and on, so much so that it was extended out to the car park area. Then the fireworks started, and they were amazing, went on for about 20 mins, which we really didn't expect. Anyway, for a family of six (including a newborn), family outings can be a nightmare, but we had a great time, entertaining, safe environment and very impressive. We'll definitely be back for the Christmas events.

R. H.First time visit (wanted a play area for the grandkids) generally I was quite impressed. Had run out of fish (Friday lunchtime), had to go back to the table for alternative, went back to the bar only to be told that they were also out of the alternative, the bar staff then thought it may be a good idea to tell me what they hadn't got before going back to the table. Apart from that I would definitely be using this pub in the future.

J. M.We ate here sat 22 may for my pre birthday meal and were not very happy at all. The meals took ages to arrive and when they did I couldn't believe it when I bit into a chip that was still frozen. My son in law spoke to your staff who refit my meal but the atmosphere was ruined.
We were also booked in for the Sunday 23 may with my son and family and after Saturdays fiasco we did try to book somewhere else but it was too late. BUT what a change !!!! Our food was on the table in no time at all. All together and there was no problems with anything. Really don't know what happened on the Saturday but today's meal was brilliant and will definitely be coming back

l. f.Would highly recommend. Seated very quickly for a family party with plenty of room. Service of food was very fast and efficient. Quality of food was really lovely and plentiful. Nothing was too much trouble. All staff work incredibly hard and all very polite and accommodating. 10 adults and 7 children everyone of us left happy and full.

Cons: Understaffed, I would expect from premium sunday roast much more meat than 2 thin slices., The order is taken only after you report your table NO but.. in rush hour when you finally get from cashier to your table.. it's taken.. Brilliant system.

C. V.Update for January 2020. Indoor play area seems to have closed for good which is a big shame but the prices, food, staff and service is very good.
The app seems a bit wonky. Mine crashes all the time but my wife can use it just fine. There are times when vouchers won't go through so we waste time putting the order through the app only to have to go up and do it all again at the bar! Would be nice to be able to add notes. We have family members who love the Chicken New Yorker but hate having the sauce smothered over the top, they like it on the side. Can do it at the to bit no where in the app. Big shame.
Updating for 10/2018. So it used to be great: well priced, very quick service, lovely staff and then there was a slump around 9-12 months ago. However I went for lunch today and it was superb: great food and service ... so may be getting back to it's previously top form.
It is nice inside. The booths have Cbeebies on for kids (silently). Lots for kids to do as there's a cool indoor play area and a nice outdoor play area too.

C. L.We went on Tuesday the food very nice but the service was very slow 2 of us got are food but the other 2 waited 10 minutes before they got there's also we had puddings we had to wait another 35mins before they came Al together we was in the pub for 3 hours but the food was very nice.

T. P.Although the staff were very helpful the food was definitely a let down. We had a party of about 20 which my daughter had previously spoken to the staff about but unfortunately on the night we went no one seemed to know anything about it.. We had meals coming out and people were saying it was cold, it was overcooked and we were very disappointed with the food as a whole. Some were offered free desserts but many of us had ordered the deal of main course with free dessert. I had chicken New Yorker for main with Apple crumble for dessert and my main wasn't to bad but after waiting nearly half an hour for my dessert it was finally bought out and although the custard was luke warm the crumble was really nice but then half way through the Apple was ice cold. The waitress changed it for me but instead of a complete new pudding I received another Apple crumble on top of my Luke warm custard which was half eaten. Many of the group were looking for somewhere for their Xmas meal but after the chaos at the Beeches I don't think they will be eating there again.
G. S.It's generally cheap. You can eat and drink from £10 easily. The food I tried was fantastic, that's 5 stars! Car park is alright. Can't complain about the staff either. The only thing was the toilet. It was disgusting.

We did make a complaint and we were given a voucher to use when we wanted.I have to say today we had a great meal the staff were friendly and helpful.I feel that faith has been restored and look forward to eating here again soon

T.I have eaten at beeches several times and the food and service have always been impeccable, the menus has varied selections of food for everyone & the children’s menu is very good too , I would say definitely value for money. we have also had our xmas eve lunch there a couple of times and even though the staff where rushed off there feet they did really well our meals all came out together and they where very enjoyable.. would gladly recommend both service & menu .

K. O.I've never had a bad meal here, I'd recommend the beef yorkie wrap. Sports are always showing. There's an inside & outside kids play area. Pool table and an outside beer garden.
M. J.I found the staff to be great, chatty and nice but the food was a little expensive for what it is, I've been to much more expensive restaurants where the prices were comparable and this place isn't (I think) as posh. Food is good, no complaints there but a bit expensive as I said.
M. C.If you have small children you might enjoy dining here. There is an indoor play area with fixed toys and gadgets and an outdoor play area. The food is two for one quality therefore too expensive but the drinks are cheaper than most two for one's. You can dine in a booth with a muted tv showing mostly cbb's if you are lucky enough to get there when one is vacant. I might go there again. The kids loved it.

However don't have a table near the children's area as you can be disturbed by the children and the staff don't always seem to want't to do anything about the children running all over the place.
Other than that I would recommend as place to go for some great food.

S.Staff friendly and food good. Tyipical pub were families take kids out for dinner and let them run all over the pub unsupervised. Shame seperate family area is not built on back for parents to sit with children. So they have to be responsible for how their children behave. In only one hour one kid ran into the chair of a diner, knocking them whilst eating. Two lads were climbing on everything and bullying other kids. All while their parents watched the footy around the other end of pub. Despite signage in place instructing children to be supervised at all times!!

C. M.Been here quite a few times. It's seems to be a hit and miss sometimes it can be excellent place for drinks and food but other times the food can be less than average. Don't know if it's different chef's or when it's extremely busy they can't keep up. I still recommend the place though.
C. P.Dirty tables next to me, stayed that way for 3hrs. Placed our order for 4 meals and we had to wait at least an hour to get food. I had gammon and it was swimming in a black Greece. One had chicken that was as dry as a bone. Over all not good for food.

J.Hungry Horse pub with a good choice of food on the menu.Visited yesterday afternoon.It was very busy,but I managed to find a table.Was a bit disappointed as all the jumbo cod had gone,but had the jumbo scampi instead which was very tasty.Swapped peas for beans which was no problem.Service was very quick & I was asked a couple of times if my meal was ok which it was.Staff friendly & attentive.Well worth a visit.Good value for money & a nice venue for families.
