It has been many years since I have visited the Crown and I am pleased to see it has retained its traditional decor which provides a high class ambience. There is food available and a large party of Japanese visitors were enjoying a meal, we only stopped for a pint which ended up as a bottle of Newcastle Brown Ale as many draught beers were unavailable.

Nice quiet venue out of the way of more pedestrianised city centre pubs, which is a shame as more people should know about it! The staff are friendly, the food is great (I recommend the Hunters Chicken Pie) and service is quick. Definitely recommend!

A Good selection of spirits and beers , notably recently added Stella to the draft to replace the overly expensive estrella. Go to this venue on a regular basis. Great little pub with a good atmosphere great bar staff who are always friendly, polite and helpful and always have smiles on their faces. Always feel welcomed on every occasion . Can't fault this pub which is well worth the the visit. 👌

I popped into the pub today for some lunch, I decided on having the all day breakfast. WOW!!! such lovely food and plenty of it. I got chatting to the manager Julie and the bar girl Charlie, what lovely people they are so friendly and engaging. Never been to this place but went there yesterday afternoon (15th August). Really old feel a more traditional pub we went straight to the bar the barmaid was nice and cheery with a friendly smile. The pub wasn't very busy just a few drinkers watching the footie. Nice pint, really good atmosphere and great staff. Will be going again soon and will have some food next time. Well worth a visit

Staff are extremely friendly, polite and easy to talk to especially Darren who you can have a laugh with while he gets his job done. Great service, don't wait long to be served and always get a good pint. The chef Barkhat always produces great food. Pub has loads of character and history.

Went for a few drinks after work at the old, trusted Crown. My first time in here since the pandemic, did not book but were able to get seated. Safe & well run systems the biggest plus point was the price of the drinks after paying over £6.00 for a pint on Thursday at another Birmingham City centre pub. It was very nice to pay £3.95 for a Guinness. Come on people of Brum let's get out & support our trusted locals.

Nice and quiet in the daytime. This is the perfect place for a pint after a long hard day of giving out sentences and fines to the dumb public. Judges come here for a sneaky few shots because their job is so hard. They have to sit there and decide how to destroy a person's life! Some judges do nothing but give out parking fines all day long! Must be so exhausting and really hard to extort the silly public out of their hard earned money. This is the best place to go to after getting fined. It's a beautiful pub and will definitely calm you down after you get robbed by the courts. The female bartender is so friendly and chatty and does a perfect job of feeling sorry for you and your sentence! I LOVE IT!

Nice pub with friendly staff. However the toilets leave a lot to be desired, they smell awful. I appreciate it's an old Victorian building but so are a lot of pubs in Birmingham city centre. If they could sort the loos out it would be a great pub.

Welcoming and very friendly. Had the misfortune to go into the Square Peg where staff were uppity and arrogant. I didn't know that you can only get served at the bar if you stood in servers area so thank God for genuine, real bar staff not brain dead sheep. Will recommend the Crown to all I know for proper real warm friendly staff and customers. Thanks for making a rubbish start to a night to such a relaxing one. Thanks to all of you and see you soon

Very traditional looking place, it's a place where the workers come after work to relax. Food service good and food came hot. I order the sharing ice cream and cookie dough sharing platter but the lady put the wrong item in so the smaller ice cream sundae one came. The bar man took it away and said that they would replace it with the correct one. But when it arrived it was totally different to the picture and discription. There was no warm pouring chocolate sauce or smarties it was a bad end to a good meal.
