Manahatta is such a beautiful bar. The aesthetics were gorgeous and we took advantage of the 50% off offer they were doing this week. The food was gorgeous and the 2 for 1 cocktails were good value and strong in flavour. The service however was a little slow by the host today and we didn't get a check back to see if we wanted more drinks or how the food was which is what the location should improve on. I will definitely visit again though.

Located near the train station, just a short walk away. We walked in on a weekday for lunch and cocktails. The waitress was initially really slow to greet us, we nearly walked out. However once seated, the waitress was really friendly and offered us recommendations. We ordered 2 cocktails each as it was happy hour and got a mains for lunch. I had the baos and it was on the spicy side, but delicious and very filling. My partner had the burger and really enjoyed that. The bill came to just over £50 for 2 main meals and 4 drinks. (BOGOF) It was nice and different, the restaurant decoration felt very urban and cool, the atmosphere had some jazz music on. Overall a nice lunch and good service. Would come back again as a treat day

A pretty cool and decent place to go. Lunch or early dinner, has a modern diner feel with sharing and small bites ideally in between your drinks. Decent amount of cocktails for 241 weekdays and until 7pm on Friday's. Saturday night it all turned into a club atmosphere with some 80's classics. Pretty decent crowd too. Been there with family early evening and also had a late night drink and dance and both occasions been very decent.

If you want to experience a relaxed, but upbeat vibe at Manahatta, get there early on the afternoon. If you want 50% off your bill, book online for a January time slot. I arrived at 13:00 and warmly welcomed by its staff. A staff member took me onto a staging platform where the boothed eating area was. She introduced herself and made it clear she was happy to assist me. I took a look at the two food menus. One was for vegan dishes, the other had a broad range of dishes from vegan to non-veg. Both menus had one thing in common, American style comfort food. If it wasn't on a brioche, fried or slathered in sauce, it wasn't on the menu. I thought I would indulge myself, given the 50% off the bill. I warn you, the food portions are large. After ordering I took a look around. What a very stylish place this is. It's less an eating venue, more a fancy cocktail bar. There are loads of staff on hand, as I was to find out when my orders arrived. Of the meals that I chose, not being a burger fan, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the chicken-like Beyond Brooklyn vegan burger. The soy meat, tomato and onion ring was rich in flavour. The most impressive looking dish was the Empire State Chicken. It consisted of fried chicken and waffles, skewered and set on a plate of sweet potato fries. The service was excellent. The food, a little too greasy for my fragile insides. But what an experience. I loved the selection of dance music. The interior, shiny, new with an abundance of space. I could see this being a great place to start and even end the night (when the tables near the bar are moved aside to increase the size of the dancefloor).

Came for bottomless brunch in Jan for belated Christmas get together. Fantastic service from when we sat down. Drinks kept topped up and food was lovely. Amazing attention and care given by Kasia. Will definitely return for an evening soon.

Just loved the place!! The staff were very welcoming and made us feel comfortable from the off!! Nothing was too much trouble for any of them! The drinks were fabulous and the food was very tasty!! All in all a great (not so) little gem in the city centre!! Will definitely go back!

A beautiful venue, excellent decorating. What a wonderful experience and meal we had on Mother's Day. The service was outstanding and there was quality in everything we needed. This is my 3rd visit and Manahatta is getting 5 of 5 every time I come here. Every staff member was courteous and helpful.

Good venue for photos and Instagram/tik tok fans. Food was extremely bland and the waffle, chicken needed a chainsaw to cut through. Service was pleasant but very, very slow even though the venue was 90% empty. Wouldn’t return but recommend for pre-drinks in town.

Came here for drinks on a Saturday afternoon about 4pm. Door men & front of house were great. The place was buzzing. Brilliant atmosphere, good tunes, and quick bar service. What's not to like?

Stopped here a day after the grand opening and the venue looks very smart and there was plenty of staff on so service was pretty good Food wise it was a bit disappointing, I'd place it towards the lower end of chain restaurant food. The menu promised a lot but it didn't really deliver. In particular the Beet N Goat starter was completely devoid of flavour, I'm actually amazed that they managed to make beetroot so totally bland The wings and tacos were ok and in fairness, the giant pretzel was pretty good Be careful ordering cocktails during happy hour, you may need to explicitly state that you would like your free one. We were a couple and ordered a drink thinking we would get two and have one each. That isn't what happened until we asked Worth stopping off at for a drink but I'd skip the food. There is literally 10 other places that are better within a few hundred yards

Really nice place to visit again and the staff are amazing there. Due to the pandemic still going on slightly short staffed but was nice to see everyone work together and give 5 ***** service. If you're ever visiting this has to be another great place in Birmingham to visit ✅

The place is amazing! The decor is fabulous & the place is just so clean & fresh. The service was amazing, I was greeted almost immediately upon entrance, all the staff were amazing & friendly and polite. I'd like to give Imani a special mentions as she went above and beyond to take care of us. She was attentive, friendly & very helpful offering us advice and her opinions on what we would enjoy the most from the menu. The atmosphere was amazing too & I will deffo be coming back 💜

Wow! Went here for a January bottomless brunch and will definitely be back. The service from Kasia was second to none. She made the whole experience extremely enjoyable with recommendations and was very friendly. The food was incredible and a great selection of drinks.

Came here for my boyfriends birthday and the atmosphere was perfect! Drinks were amazing, especially loved the 2 for 1 offer😝the servers were very attentive and made us feel incredibly welcome and my boyfriend loved the special touch on the birthday cocktail, super cute! We had the steak frites and Empire State chicken and both dishes did not disappoint! Overall, absolute loved the place and will definitely come back!

Very nice cocktail bar with a new york vibe going on. It looks upmarket, the interior is spot-on! I really enjoyed my night there, especially with many walls and neons made to take interesting pictures in front of them! I didn't like, however, the fact that the place was a bit too expensive and the waiting time in a queue was very long. Maybe more staff would solve the issue? Nonetheless, strong 4 stars. Thank you!

Really nice venue, comfortable seating and great music. Overall had a lovely atmosphere and was packed when we went. Cocktails were very popular and some run out but the bar tender I had surprised me with her own concoction and it was very tasty. Well worth a visit if you've not been before!

Been here a few times already and absolutely love the place! On arrival, I was greeted by Prince the doorman in a professional and friendly manner. On entry, Leah welcomed me in with a warm smile. We had a brief conversation and this added a nice personal touch further adding to my experience. The venue clearly appeals to the classier clientele and together with the fab music and the ambience, provide the perfect ingredients to a fun night out. We had every intention of bar hopping this afternoon, but once we were in here there was no way we wanted to leave. From the moment we stepped inside, we were made to feel so special, from Akbar who made us our first cocktails, to Shona and Evelina who serves us all afternoon to Connor who took the time to speak to us just before we left (my sincere apologies if I have anyone’s name wrong), the whole experience was phenomenal. The cocktails are fab and the food is soooooo delicious. Seriously, go there! We’ll be back very soon.

Recently opened I am led to believe. Visited early evening. Very loud and noisy, not a place for a drink and a social chat unless you enjoy shouting. Slow service at the bar and very few rum cocktails.

We loved the food and cocktails. Our waitress was lovely. But for some reason when we were seated in an empty bar, every customer that followed us in was sat directly next to us. I’m not sure why we were packed in like sardines when there was ample space to spread us out. Our server was lovely and smiley. Shame about her boss, I know she can’t help her resting face, but when you’re front of house in hospitality, at least try to look happy. I will return sometime.

Quite frustrating place to deal with. First we were told there was a minimum spend of £50 per person, which seems harsh, then we were told we HAD to pay the entire bill up front, also harsh. We had a person cancel but we couldn't cancel their meal, we still had it brought out and had to pay for it (wasteful). The place itself is more like a bar than an eatery, the music was overpoweringly loud. I will say the food was good and once they started serving they left the right amount of time between courses. I gave 3 stars purely based on the food. Oh and even tho we had meal booked we still had to go to the bar for drinks. I wouldn't go again.

Didn't think much of the cocktail I had and when we sat at out table there was no card to say it was reserved then at 6:30 member of staff came over with a card and put it on the table which has a reserved from 7 and we was told we have to leave the table at 6:50 which I think is a bit of a disgrace as the table next to us had no card on she could have put it on there instead so instead of staying we left very disappointed

Went on a Tuesday for lunch. Staff were lovely and nice for too. Clean and tidy and lovely decor.

The staff were really friendly and the best thing about our visit. I was part of a group of about 20 on a works do. We were asked to select our food a week ahead of our visit, which we did. I ordered 3 courses - neither my main or dessert were available. I was given a different dessert on the house which was a nice gesture, but still - we'd pre ordered and they still managed to not have 2 dishes in stock? It's pretty poor. The place itself is more of a bar than a place you actually want to sit and have a meal. Loud music makes it difficult to have a conversation. Seemed more catered for people that want to take pictures for their Instagram rather than actual customer comfort. I might go back again for a drink, but probably not for food. That said the food was actually quite nice, but a bizarre atmosphere.
