H. R.Went for drinks after work with a group on a Monday and saw there was a new Indian Menu. We thought to give it a try and we were not disappointed, the food tasted amazing and was presented well. The customer service was so good and everyone was so friendly we had a great laugh. Prices are good and portion sizes were amazing as mailbox normally have small portions. Would deffo recommend to anyone visiting the mailbox! ❤️
A. R. B.I regularly visit to have a few drinks then came across that PennyBlacks now offer Indian Tapas food I tried the Peri Peri wings, Butter Chicken and Naan. The food was exceptionally presented and tasted really good. Highly recommend
R. K.Visited recently, Indian tapas food has recently been introduced and I can say the food was amazing. The place was clean and had a great atmosphere would recommend to everyone.

Kitchen has recently been taken over, serving beautiful Indian dishes (small plates + main meals). So tasty and beautifully presented with home made sauces and marinades.
The staff were super friendly and welcoming, 100% will be coming again!

M. L.Good place for sport. Tables for 24 reserved which was great. Good range of beer and wine. Drinks service was good. Food choice was limited. Burgers, hot dogs, pizzas etc but all pretty good. Let down by very poor food service. Some were waiting for well over an hour while others got food within 10 min. No explanation and we had to ask what was going on and how long it would be on a number of occasions.
D. D.Good spot. Right in town and they have all the games, whether you play a bit or you do more watching these days. Ita on the canal so really has the Birmingham vibe ready to dip into whenever you feel like it. One of my top spots if I am honest. Great service great drinks and enough space for everyone.
D. C.First visit was ok. Midweek fairly quiet watched women's world cup semi. Drinks were ok but a bit pricey. Didn't have anything to eat but it looked well presented and appetising. Will revisit maybe on a weekend to get a better feel of the place.
N. H.This is a bar for youngsters. Aimed at sports like pool cocktails and world beers are served by enthusiastic staff. We came on the cocktail weekend so had the set drink which I must admit was good would come again on a hot day for a cold beer and sit outside by the canal views

K. T.Went to penny black in Birmingham tonight for a mates stag do, I had The Mamma Mia pizza and it'd was BLOODY DELICIOUS!!! I highly recommend this dish if your feeling up to it 😀
