Nice pub, most the seats are really comfy, large floor area and good layout so even if the is a noisy event like a band on, there is a quite corner you can get away from it all. Food is always pretty reasonable quality wise, never had a bad nite and eat here often, prices on food are also very reasonable. One of my favourite pubs for a quiet drink, staff are very pleasant, and generally the other patrons of the house are friendly.

Visited this pub with a number of age groups both young and old and found that it was very good, the food was very nice and the price was very reasonable the total price including alcoholic drinks for 7 people all having a main and sweet was below £80.00.The only thing that let this place down if anything was the wait that we had for the food, the service was slow even though the pub wasn't particularly busy. We had to wait nearly an hour for our food, resulting in me having to go to ask if it was "going to be much longer?"only to be told "it's just being plated now" which was very convenient. On the whole a nice cheap place but with a wait.

First time, dropped in to have some lunch with my family, what a nice friendly place, the locals welcomed you in! That's a first...the fire was lit and it was a welcoming warmth, sat down checked the menus and ordered food, l was surprised of how the food was cooked fresh and very tasty, very enjoyable, though about 1hr from home a very nice place to go, if we are in the location again, sure to pop in, good food and a nice place to go. Well done Bulls Head.

A great place to eat. Pleasant surroundings and excellent food. The only reasons for dropping a star are: 1. Toilets upstairs 2. Had to stand in queue at bar to order food instead of ordering at table. I would have dropped only half a star if I could, but I would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant to anyone.

A great place to spend a few hours :-) with a great selection of real ales and lagers plus superb staff you can not fault it. The pub is always clean and tidy with a happy atmosphere. With so many local pubs closing I think people should visit this one and see a great local run well with amazing service. Its a credit to the pub/restaurant industry. Went for my birthday on Wednesday, booking a table with family also booking tables couldn't be easier. All distances adhered to, no mixing of tables etc.. just a lovely relaxed evening had by all.. Staff very friendly and helpful as always ( well last time we visited was in feb) Chloe, Joe & Nathan were run off their feet, but nothing fazed them. They kept us informed of food delays and brought drinks quickly to the tables always with a smile. Only slight mar the steak was inedible... the staff members are a real credit to your company and some of your other establishments really could do with the same sort of customer service they deliver. Thank you Chloe, Joe & Nathan we had a lovely evening .

Lovely pre Christmas festive meal with my family. I went with the hopes of using a birthday voucher I had received via email 2 weeks previously stating I had 28 days to use, however told by staff it can not be used until after my birthday. This did not ruin our meal in anyway, just seemed strange. The food was lovely as always. Service at the bar was a little slow, staff were friendly and trying their best, just seemed a little short staffed for the time of year. I felt very sorry for them. Will of course be back soon to enjoy my birthday voucher

Nice friendly warm pub for the most part. Dogs are allowed in the outside seated sections that there are a few of there not allowed inside unless your ordering your drinks. It says dog friendly on their website but that's not really the case. In general a nice pub.

Reasonable food overall and usually not bad value. Bar and pub area are very dated and doesn't feel particulalry clean. Toilets are not great and not as clean as they should be. Staff were helpful and friendly. Good seating inside and out. Good parking on site which is free if a patron.

I work away alot and come across these places a bit. Beer is Reasonably priced (Carling £3.20) and I had the set menu (Monday-Friday 5pm onwards) 2 courses £8.95. Food fantastic didn't lack quality. Only down side is I believe the car park is pay and display, not sure on price as I walked. Would go back again

It has been many years since l went to the bull's head and it has not really changed much. Lots of older people in & a couple of kids. Not a so called jumping pub just a place you can go for a drink with friends and family. Nice glass of red at a ok price.

Positives first: nice beer and cider. Staff are friendly. Prices are reasonable. Negatives: the food. It took half an hour for nachos and burger to arrive. The burger was overdone and the bun was dry. The nachos were appalling. When they first arrived the jalapeños were missing, and much more worryingly, the guacamole had a brown crust that tastes of mushroom. We complained and it was replaced by guacamole that still tasted of mushroom. I believe that the original was blended. I'll be back for beer but no food.

Although not local, we have visited a few times foe both a quick drink and longer visit for food. Nice location with plenty of parking and a well laid out pub. Staff always have been friendly. Today's visit was a disappointment food wise as the med rare steak arrived with the mix grill so over done it was impossible to overlook. Retuning it produced a replacement that was so rare you could see the heartbeat! Whilst the staff member changed the food and offered free drinks as compensation with no quibble, (we refused as had already drinks purchased and didn't want mire) this spoilt our visir. A chef that can not get a basic steak cooked correctly is not an asset to a restaurant. Venue not top of our places we will return to.

I, and some colleagues, arranged a school reunion for 50+ people at the Bull's Head, and all thoroughly enjoyed our 4 hours spent at this delightful public house on Saturday 25th April 2015. We arranged for a buffet and the availability of teas and coffees throughout our stay. The buffet was absolutely superb with so much variety and generous proportions, and was complimented on, by all the old school friends. The Bull's Head staff were very welcoming and totally attentive to ensuring the teas and coffees were constantly refreshed. It made for a perfect reunion of all the old school friends whose ages ranged from their late sixties to many in their nineties. Well Done Staff at this Ember Inn

Nice, friendly staff and the beer is well kept, unlike most Ember Inns. Interior decor also better than most in this chain which is universally chintzy and bland. This somehow feels different and it is housed in a lovely red brick building that has all the charm of a country pub situated on the busy Stratford road.

Sadly no central heating for most of the night alas the gas fires don't give out much heat. Diners sitting in their outside coats. The heating was unfortunate, I would urge the management of all pubs to check that the lavatories are in good order on a regular basis. I did not fall in the car park and I do sympathise with business owners who dare not clear away snow incase they are sued by a law firm on a no win no fee basis for not doing a perfect job. It is clearly an absurd state of affairs whereby no-one with a business will clear snow for fear of being sued. Shame on the British legal profession.

I visited The Bulls Head today Sunday 2nd October. We were a party of 7. 4 meals arrived ok but there was a considerable wait for the other 3 meals. Then they ran out of deserts and had no glasses for the Speciality Coffees. Then they ran out of cream. So as you can imagine it spoilet it for us Will we be visiting again ? Who knows
