Visit Charlie Hall quite often. Ales well looked after and this is one of the nicest 'Spoons I've been to. (And I've been to many all over England.) The staff are attentive, polite and efficient. Eg: was waiting at the bar and the young lass helping a gent with a raffle which they do locally. Left him and apologized. No need. Then her colleague continued to serve me and said " sorry you had to wait", which I didn't have to at all. The staff and management deserve a good credit for this as many people just take good service for granted, which, believe me, isn't always the case! Well done to all!!

Not a very busy Sunday lunch time at the Charlie Hall. Good selection of beers including real ales available at a very reasonable price. The same menu as other "Spoons" I just had a ham and cheese panini. Worth going just to see the well converted building.

Our local Wetherspoons. It's a great social meeting spot and it's just as good as the rest of them. The food is dependable and cheap (free tea refills with just one purchase keeps me coming back to this place!) and the atmosphere is generally really good and the staff are always helpful. The fact that you can order from your table has 100% made Wetherspoon's easier for people like me who have anxiety about going up to a bar and it means you get to spend more time with your friends and family at the table without someone having to get up and disappear every so often! Toilets are generally quite clean too, which is more than I can say for other Wetherspoons I've visited in the past!

Best pub in Erdington with great staff and service. Food is better than the Vesey in Boldmere somehow even though both Wetherspoons. Good food and the breakfasts and refillable coffees are not to be missed. Great range of world lagers and draught.

Totally great and huge place to have a nice budget meal any time of the day. One of many places under J.D. Wetherspoon franchise. You can either order at bar or sit down whereever is room and order via their mobile app. Incredible system, no one asks you many times whether you are ready, you just click it, pay it and get it on your table withing reasonable time. The burgers and fish-and-chips are simply amazing.

It's a classic pub. Various other Wetherspoons have a more modern contemporary look, but this one is dull, having said that it's a classic pub nonetheless. It adds to its charm as these types of pubs are dying breeds. So it's best left how it is. It could use a lick of paint, though. Staff are amazing.

I fuffin love the Charlie Hall, popped in for a few jars before the Villa, always full of life and characters. Been drinking here 20 years on & off and it's a melting pot of allsorts of misfits....wouldn't change it. Not tried the food but drinks are cheap as chips and bar staff seem sound and try to get everyone served in order as quick as possible which is quite a craft in itself.

It's OK for what it is. It is on my route home from work so I will sometimes pop in there for a cpl of jars. One thing is that should be mentioned if one drinks ale they are often pleasantly surprised at what can be found on tap.

Many a time I've been to the Charlie & the food has been somewhat disappointing. Today I was with my daughter's, so I was still reluctant to eat but with the App it was a pleasent experience ordering the food at the table. Food came within mins of ordering & it was really good food. Half price so that was the a bonus. Staff were friendly always smiled even walking past our table. Makes a difference. Excellent service, will definitely be visiting again with the girls. Place is so different to when we used to go there when they were little...

The general area is a bit run down,so we apprehensively took a chance on this Wetherspoons. Love this pub, beautifully decorated and laid out, love the atmosphere and history of the place, nice toilets and plenty of cubicles. Great seating especially the banquettes for privacy and cosiness! open letter to CEO of wetherspoons. O.K I admit it, I have been stealing off the Charlie Hall for many months. I go to chicken club on weds, curry on thurs. after work. I give the barman 20.00 for two meals and drinks and he gives me 7.00 change. I know this must be a mistake but I still take the money. The barman says 10 minutes...food comes in 10 minutes...it is nice and the beer is good, i feel guilty for not paying more. Sometimes I have so little shame that I ask for a pud and pay practically nothing...I know I will be found out one day but I don't care. A great brummie pub, not posh, just great

Typical pattern book wetherspoons. If you've been to the figure of 8 off broad street in Birmingham you'll seriously wonder whether it's the same pub! Food is good pub grub and reasonably priced, real ales and standard taps available, again reasonably priced. Sadly inhabited by the same old men making a pint last two hours alongside pram faced mothers drinking prosecco at 10 am, three kids screaming at their feet after they've dropped the other three at school. But this is erdington after all. Unfortunately the grime of the area seems to have seeped into the pores of the ambience!

This is my town and very proud of it though not all changes and developement for the better. We are known as the Royal Town, and there are many properties that are part of a conservation area. Sutton Park access is close that is linked with the Royal status. There are many chains and I dependant shops have seen a demise. There are too many fast food outlets that increase litter in the town. The town is well served with public transport. There is the Trinity Church at the top of Sutton Hight St.

Erdington itself looks like the srt of a zombie movie the people shuffle around with an air of dispair. The fortunate ones have some money to go and drink away their misery in the Charlie Hall. This is a large airy establishment serving a gine selection of real ales and ciders at reasonable prices. Food is available as is a smokers beer garden at the rear.
