Beautiful venue! This is a really cosy yet fabulously furnished pub. The staff were super friendly and although we were only stopping in for a drink, we got something to nibble on too which were also really nice. Definitely would recommend to anyone stopping in the area of after a nice roast on a Sunday.

Booked last minute for Anniversary, no afternoon tea available, but the website still promotes it. Nevertheless, the food was beautiful,smashing and filling. Staff were very nice and friendly. Will take our kids there next time x

Frankie was our server and he did an excellent job. He was attentive and had our drinks and food out to us promptly. He checked on us during the meal as well and made sure we never needed anything. The food was good as well and the atmosphere is always perfect for an intimate meal. Will definitely return.

Had a lovely meal here last night. There was a little mix up with our booking but this was resolved quickly and they had a table ready for the six if us within minutes. The service was wonderful; we were well looked after by Lauren who provided great recommendations on what we should get. Great food and even better service. Will be going back again.

We went to the white swan for my husbands birthday meal with 2 young children. The lady Lauren who looked after us couldn’t be any more accommodating. She was so friendly with the children, made us feel really welcome. Amazing service. Would highly recommend this place.

Big thank you to Mike and his team. Excellent service on a very busy Friday night. We had our new born with us and the original table that had space for the pram was quite close to the door so cold. We asked to move and there were no questions asked, and moved to another table out of the way. Food was excellent. Had the lamb and rib eye. Only reason not 5 stars was the baby changing facilities were in a really cold room and not very suitable for a new born.

Attentive staff and a nice Sunday roast in pleasant surroundings. However the (ladles) toilets lost them a 'star' rating. Some 'tired' paintwork on the inside door, also a missing lamp shade over sinks and graffiti inside a toilet cubical.

Nice food but not exceptional, it's a chain pub tho. Nice atmosphere, toilets ok but sink and drier not working. Food prices a bit high and I was considering 2 desserts- both not available, went for the chocolate bomb which as nice but only if you like dark chocolate. Parking is free so that's good!

Fantastic evening with friends yesterday. Food was superb and service great even though travel severely delayed my arrival time. The ambience at the White Swan is spot on. Special thanks to our servers Georgia and Elliott who were incredibly patient and efficient even we had a laughing fit splitting the bill . Saul you should be proud of your team they are a credit, and you were pretty good too. From 4 ladies who have been friends for longer than we care to remember (40+ years), but still know how to laugh like our teenage years. ♥

Went for a family meal after visiting the Botanical Gardens. Food and service was really good. We had a hiccup with regards to one dessert, however the manager was very apologetic and resolved the situation above our expectations. Very good menu. Food was cooked perfectly. THE best Sunday roast you’ll get in Brum. Bar none. Basically these are London prices, but the amount and quality you get is worth every bite! Lovely atmosphere and well taken care of. Thanks guys

Went for Sunday lunch with a best friend from Uni that I had not seen for number of years. Was not disappointed. She had the veg option on the roast whilst I had the pork and loads of crackling. Every part especially the yorkies was delicious. We had puddings and they were really great too. Food prepared with love and respect for the produce and the diner. Alex was our waiter and he was very professional, accomodating and delivered great service with a smile. Great atmosphere, lovely food priced reasonably. Will go back for sure.

We came a few weeks ago and the whole afternoon was excellent food service atmosphere etc we came again last Sunday food still very good but the service wasent the same . We didn't have 1 designated waiter so we was asked 3 times was we ready to order but we had already ordered same with drinks. It may be that they was short staffed and every one was trying to help each other out. It's a lovely venue and I will definitely be coming again. The only one negative was they cleared our table away and my wife was still eating.

To celebrate 50 years of marriage, our family convened at the White Swan (Dirty Duck) in Harborne. Wondeful welcome, lovely meal, beautiful surroundings. I went for a meal a couple of weeks back with the whole family whilst my brother was visiting from abroad. Me, my bro and Uncle all had the maple glazed rotisserie pork belly and scallops dish, the menu described it as served with a pulled pork & cider bonbon, roasted celeriac & fresh apple purée, dauphinoise potatoes, Tenderstem broccoli and Bordelaise sauce. It's been two weeks at least now and here I am still randomly thinking about that pork belly and how everything was tied off by that incredible sauce! The service and welcome was lovely as usual, and I had a dessert and shared a side of chips which were also lovely but my gosh, the pork!

Another exquisite experience at the white Swan. The deep fried brie accompanied with a smoky tomato sauce and toasted pumpkin seeds was devine. Smoked salmon tacos were fresh, bursting with mouth watering flavour and texture. The chef is clearly a fine culinary artist. A dinning pleasure as always.

First time I've eaten here, and I can say I was very impressed. Friendly and efficient staff, which I'm guessing is better when you've booked a group table. Great menu, and a selection of specials on it too. Nice atmosphere, great for groups. Good cocktail menu, despite the bar staff being a little slow. Well cooked and presented food from the choices available, particularly the set menu. Free parking at the rear of the building too. Definitely will come here again.

Really enjoyed my dish called the Nourish Bowl here, I added the grilled salmon to it and my boyfriend had the grilled Duck Salad which was just as nice. Only popped in as we were passing for my 4 o'clock cup of tea and a coke for my other half but the menu looked so good and even better was the 'healthy options' choices. The menu choices and drinks are really good, lots of variety. I used to visit this pub back in the 80's and I've always liked it here. Great service and decor and lovely and warm too 👏.

It was a splendid experience celebrating with my family, my mother's birthday. The food took a while to come but it was worth while. They make a great set of chunky chips. The vegan options are plentiful. The salt levels can be controlled a little better but otherwise the food was good and well prepared. Most of all, the table service was near flawless with very diligent staff. I hope to return for another special occasion or two.

Beautiful pub and nice friendly greeting staff, good covid 19 precautions in place. Food was nice but downside is it was a little bit cold. The waitresses didn't seem so attentive and seemed a little bit off. Maybe they were tired. They weren't rude or anything like that but they weren't as cheery and polite as the greeters. Overall I would probably recommend it to my friends and family and I wouldn't be upset about going back. More vegetarian options would be nice though I had the vegan burger which was OK but there were only 2 mains to choose from which in this day and age is a bit poor.

The staff and food were exceptional. We were greeted well on arrival and given the new procedures. With a choice of which table we wanted to sit on. Jennie gave us really good service and was able to break down some of the portion sizes for our young adult. Jennie had a happy heart and was very genuine with her service. The 2 for £12 cocktails were yummy. The portions were so enormous there was no room for dessert. I would happily come back to Birmingham for their roast.

Really nice pub with friendly staff and overall nice food. The starters we’ve had seemed expensive for what they were with the portion size so we tend to now give these a miss. Main courses and desserts are nice with a good choice and there’s plenty of staff but you can wait a while for the bill. Can seem a tad expensive and we only had soft drinks with our meal so I’d imagine it could get pricier if you stated adding wines.

Had an anniversary dinner here in a private room a couple of years ago, it was fantastic, Gareth & Renee couldn’t do enough to accommodate us and our guests. I come here often for meals when we have visitors from out of town and pop in for coffee and dessert when it’s just the girls. The atmosphere is fantastic. There are two real log wood fires blazing in the winter, one in the lovely bar area and the other in the restaurant area. Just great. It feels as though you’re out in the countryside when you get here.

We booked the White Swan for a wedding breakfast after having to cancel a reception due to Covid. We cannot praise Gareth and his team highly enough, from original booking arrangements through to table service on the day every part of our experience was attended to in fine detail. We had guests from Scotland who were apprehensive about dining in a public space but were immediately put at ease by our waiter Ben's professional manner and attention to diners needs. Every meal was cooked , presented and served to a high standard which added to a memorable day for everyone under unusual circumstances. This was our third visit to the White Swan on special Occasions and we will definitely return in the future.

Visited for Sunday Brunch today. Member of bar staff managed to serve us drinks, take our food order & bring cutlery etc to our table without speaking a word or offering a single smile. He was not busy or distracted as we were the only people there. Food was nice & served in good time ( by another, much more pleasant staff member) but we were not made to feel welcome and won't rush back. There are much friendlier places to spend my money.

This local pub is a good place for chilling, contemplating with friends or simply enjoying a drink. The venue is clean and well maintained and in my experience there has always been an empty seat and table. The beer is slightly more expensive than other high street pubs. The experience is nevertheless worth it. I haven't eaten in this place for a long time so I can't comment on food served here.

After waiting 10+ minutes to get a waiter in the main dining area, I left with my date to eat in the pub area instead. (I would have wanted to do this regardless of how quickly I got a waiter, but I wanted to announce to someone without having to search them out that the table I’d just been given was being vacated.) The service at the bar was molasses-slow. This compounded quite frustratingly with the prior wait. But the Sunday roast was fantastic, and the atmosphere is perfect! Edgbaston is lucky to have such a great pub/restaurant

Most recently I came for a meal following my Masters degree graduation, and the service and food exceptional even by the already high standard that I hold this restaurant to. Very friendly staff, quite large portions (which meant I left absolutely stuffed), clean tables and cosy decor all made me feel very welcome. The wait time for food was around 35mins but it was definitely worth it. I will definitely visit again! (Parking available too)

I visited here just the other day with an old friend I hadn't seen in a while. We had decided on this pub as it was closest for us. Upon arrival we were greeted by a very polite young man, who welcomed us and arranged our table. Our server, named Aaron or perhaps Anton, was very pleasant and was patient with us when we didn't quite know what to order! The food arrived quickly and tasted delicious - for a change I had 3 courses! It was nice to have a conversation with the server too - he wasn't just focused about getting our money! Overall it was a great setting for that trip down memory lane, we were very full and perhaps a little tipsy afterwards! A great evening, great food and friendly staff!

Been here lots of times. Food was not as nice as previous trips but better than a standard pub. Not much more expensive either. Not as busy either but it was lunchtime. Service was good with pleasant staff.

Great interior, food not so amazing. Typical pub food really nothing I would say you couldn't get from anywhere else. Tomato soup was pretty nice though I must admit. Good menu selection. Heating smoking area outside too which is nice.

Beautiful said the menu changes all the time so you get to taste different food and never get bored of it brilliant atmosphere I've been there for Valentine's Day and they had a menu for Valentine's Day which was great. It's also great going in there just to grab a hot chocolate or a cocktail great relaxing atmosphere friendly staff. High quality ingredients and high quality food you won't be disappointed.
