Great locale with a wide variety of food and drinks. Their 2 for 1 cocktails are a very good deal. Staff were very friendly and the place was very clean. Would recommend visiting.

Amazing two for one Cocktails and incredibly beautiful location. Clean environment, friendly staff and very central at the Bournemouth Square. Definitely worth to visit and I’ll definitely come here again!

Spent several hours in here on a Friday afternoon. The ladies in our group made their way through the cocktail list, why not when it's 2 for 1. Staff were really friendly and fun to chat to. Really nice vibe, will definitely pop back in there again when we're in Bournemouth next.

The best venue in bournemouth by far !!!! Last night me and a friend went for some drinks at a few different places and when we came to you, all of your staff went above and beyond. Megan and David were the names I remember in particular but every single on of them were amazing !!! If only there were more like them !

Family group of 14 we had our table in the corner out the way something we wanted. The cocktails was buy one and second free this went down well with all the grown ups, also soft drinks for the kids . The meals themselves were very good everyone had something to eat from the menu and was a very enjoyable night . The staff were very good and helpful The only thing I would say they need to work on will be the App you order straight from there rather leaving the table ,only problem when it asked you which venue you were at even though location was in my phone my order went to another branch so I had to get the manager involved , and this was sorted out ..

This is the place you want to come for cocktails! 2 for 1 and so much choice. Quite pretty inside and close to the square. Food is okay but nothing special. Staff were a little bit rude and slow to provide drinks last time we visited. Had better experiences before.

We did not book in advance but we were still accommodated as it is not too crowded when we arrived. (Although i'd still recommend you book in advance just to be sure). The staff were friendly and very pleasant. The food serving was good and you will leave extremely full and satisfied. I wish I'd have more spaces to fill my tummy. Food quality is good, as well. Not too posh but you really get what you paid for. (And more 😄). There is also a wide variety of beverages including cocktails and other alcoholic drinks. You will never run out of options and there will always be something for everyone. Only one drawback in my opinion is that, it wouldn't be too great for family dining as the place could get quite loud because of other diners - as is expected because it has a bar and serves alcohol. (Although the security personnel handled them very well, so kudos!) Overall, a great place to hang out!

Only disappointment was the bar manager refusing us food when there was literally no one in the restaurant, the place was empty but it was “bookings only” this was the night before my friends wedding and we hadn’t known this in advance but in all honesty it was ridiculously empty and we’d have thought they’d have wanted the revenue but not to worry, Alisha chatted with us like friends and still made our visit enjoyable even if we did have to hunt down food elsewhere when we had just left an empty restaurant.

Myself & my newly wed daughter & 6 others including Groom went to the bottomles brunch on Saturday 28th August. The original family hen night was cancelled due to isolation so it was a post wedding do. We were met by Chris who welcomed us & continued to be our waiter for the whole of the session. He was absolutely fabulous & incredibly attentive to our needs throughout. The food was Suburb & every single one at the meal really enjoyed the whole meal, which in itself is a massive thing The whole experience was brilliant. This was the 1st experience at dining at the Slug & Lettuce & because of Chris, our lovely waiter & the incredibly lush good we were all be returning. Please inform Chris of this review. Quite a large place. Well designed with nice range of seating options. With open tables, snug tables for four, high tables and stools along with a large round table for eight to ten people. The décor is smart and 'on trend'. Nice menu with range of options. Usual options for alcohol and cocktails.

The food and service at Slug & Lettuce was good and never been disappointed before. Unfortunately after a recent experience back in August, I am unsure if I will return. We made the staff aware of an allergy and they advised its okay to eat a burger I chose as they were able to change the bun for me. However, after taking 1 bite, I very quickly realised they did not confirm the rest of the ingredients. The staff did check in and offer a refund and free drinks which is good but I do want them to be aware of allergies and how serious they can be. Luckily it wasn't too awful, but I did have to leave immediately and was not in a good way for the rest of the day and night. In the moment I didnt make a fuss of this but I hope they are careful from now on in case anyone has more severe reactions than I did.

I have visited several times and always found the service friendly and helpful. The location is ideal, just off Bournemouth Square and the the Lower Gardens which lead to the pier. The food is presented well and there is a good choice, including lunchtime deals. It is oriented to a younger clientele with a dazzling array of cocktails and the like, but as an older person, I also find it friendly and welcoming for a lunch that is excellent value for money.

We went the the S&L on Christmas Eve, having booked a table for four adults and five children. When we arrived the place was heaving but our table was ready and really nicely decorated and clean. The waiter got a bit of grief initially as the S&L head office had decided to withdraw the 2for1 cocktail deals over Chritmas. The poor lad had clearly been getting it all day but explained the issue and did his very best. After we placed our orders, the food came out in one hit. There were a few minor mistakes but these got sorted and considering how busy they were and the table size, they did well. The food was really nice. Came out hot and fresh and albeit not huge portions, it was quality and tasty. All in all a really good visit and again credit to the waiter who worked hard. 4 stars instead of 5 due to the cocktail deal being removed and the rowdy table close to ours who really should have been told to pipe down by management. Well worth the visit

Good location at the bottom of Richmond hill, which if you don't know the area is rite in the centre of Bournemouth town. Went for lunch here the other day, good food and drink menu. Week days they normally have offers on for meal and drink for about £7 which is good. The meal we had very good and the lady who served us was very friendly and helpful.

Since it's refurbishment a few months ago it looks a lot more modern/up to date & generally just more inviting. The few times I have had a drink & eaten here have been good but there's nothing special about the food, drinks or the place to warrant a 4 star. Service is okay & the menu is pretty standard. The balcony on a warm day is a nice touch provided you can get a seat.

My experience was ok with covid safe standards being maintained so I felt comfortable but I was really disappointed the menu was so reduced. Sadly covid is here to stay for the long term so getting back to what will be our new normal is imperative to ensure this chain and everyone else survives. There was hardly anyone in eating or drinking which for a Friday lunchtime 1pm was unusual. I just wonder if you had your full menu back in operation what difference it might make.

This place has a nice atmosphere. The average age of people going in there is between 25 to 35. It get very popular on a Friday night. They serve Pub food which I thought it was good, but I don't often go there to eat. It could be nice place for an informal first date, or to meet up with friends and dance. They have a DJ who place a variety of music. The only down side is they close quiet early, at about 23.50 the switch the music off and turn the lights on.

After dodging the rain we needed a comfy place for an early lunch and a drink. The Slug and Lettuce's light and airy style was just the ticket. The lunch deals offered fitted the bill and didn't disappoint...... Service was polite and really friendly and it was clear everyone was working together. We weren't rushed and the helpful staff made us feel really welcome. Food was good, bean burger and regular burger was really tasty. The price within the lunch offer was truly great. My only complaint......Why is my local Slug and Lettuce not this good.

Wonderful place for 2-for-1 cocktails (you can ask at the bar for timings). There is always a good choice and it's quite busy in the evenings. They have a separate seated area if you want to eat. They also have a vegan sharer platter, I tried the jackfruit bao buns which were lovely (also good for Veganuary).

Currently undergoing a partial refurbishment, this bar has and outdoor seating and smoking area on the street outside and a non smoking balcony overlooking Bournemouth Square. There is a more formal dining area and a good variety of different seating types

I've visited Bournemouth twice and it wouldn't be complete without a trip to the Slug And Lettuce bar! I love the atmosphere here and my friend and I go for the cocktails. There is a two for one option but now it's two of the same cocktail. They took my favourite cocktail off the menu, I went back there last week and asked if they could make my favourite cocktail for me and they agreed. Very nice staff and atmosphere. Lots of seating areas, booths etc.

Great place to have lunch whilst in town , the food is always good and at a great price. The lunch menu is a good deal. The staff member we had was fantastic she was very friendly, knowledgeable and extremely polite (even to the grumpy mother in law).

Aaron was our teacher and he was brilliant and patient with us. We made two cocktails which were yummy. We also had a glass of proseco and jäger bomb. We had buffet food which was really good and plenty for us all. I would definitely recommend this to anyone and would love to do it again.
