Reviews of The Acorn
I thought I'd give this one a try despite a negative experience from a family member. The pub is included in The Good Beer Guide and I can see why.
No trouble to try before you buy and good quality ales.
Will return 🙏
Came here for the 1st time today with my partner and young children. Pub goers helped me get the double pram in and out of the pub and helped my partner get in with his wheelchair. We were really touched by that kindness. Everyone was really friendly and we will definitely come back. I also loved that they were playing oldies music and it wasn't blaring out.
Great local pub - for the local people - great music - great atmosphere - just a good place to be
If you like real ale this is the pub for you,
A good rotation of real ales,
Mainly from local brewers,
I had a pint of durdle door excellent bèer,
As the saying goes, the proof is in the drinking 😋😁, the staff are very welcoming, and the atmosphere is Great.
It's still as good, from when it first opened. 👍look for your self, staff not as friendly, depends how services you. Local customers don't pay there wages apparently, only a percentage 🤔
Good 🍻🍺
Never had a bad pint here, must add that I don't visit that often, but always a well kept good selection of real ales and cyder available.
Outside seating are for sun-worshipers and puffers.
Only stopped by for a quick pint but it was a good one. Kind if how pubs used to be but was a bit quiet (Tuesday tho). Good and honest pub with good prices. Friendly landlord and customers.
Nice old fashioned pub, no load music banging out, great range of beers
Great ales. Good beers. FREE HOUSE run by the braddocks who owned the successful Royal oak for over 20 years. Well worth a visit. Great atmosphere
Thanks for a great time most helpful bar staff.. Thanks just see if you can get some lemon 🍋 for next time x
