T. W.Perfect little spot with a fantastic library of beers and ciders. Staff are very helpful with recommending something to your taste or similar. Food provided by Dizzy Gull is exceptional with burgers and other delights on the menu along with roasts on a sunday. Dog friendly.

j. w.What a Pub! Amazing beer (ales) fantastic food (best chips in Brighton anyone?).
It does get busy, but everyone is friendly and worth the queue.
They have some evening themes, such as a tap takeover. I have also noticed a big pile of board games.
S. W.Very welcoming place with a wonderful range of craft beers and real ales. I was there during a women brewers tap takeover which was really exciting. They don’t have food but can order pizza in for you from the bar.

M. S.Great pub for trying some local beers/ciders/ales. They have a frequently changing selection so there's always something new on the menu.
The prices are very reasonable too and often better than pubs locally! Some drinks are expensive but the prices are listed on the board (which I love!). You can also try before you buy which can be advisable on some of the more.....experimental brews!
The staff are friendly and quite knowledgeable about the beers that are on offer. They also have a good selection of whiskies behind the bar but no idea how expensive they are.
They only have limited seating of about 9 or 10 tables so can busy at times so arrive early if you want to grab a table. If you drink too much there's always a mcdonalds and KFC at the bottom of the hill ha ha ha!

The outdoor space could be bigger but they do well with what they have out the front. The pub is dog friendly and have water bowls for dogs. The place was clean.

Also worth a chat with the bar guys to see what they recommend, they'll give you a couple of good tips depending on what they have at the time (it's always changing).

R. G.If you enjoy a beer festival this should be your haunt, with a really decent variety to choose from it stands out to me as a rarer find for those who enjoy darker ales and stouts. They offer flavours that are hard to find in this age of citrus notes.

L. R.A broad selection of very good beers. Something here for everyone and the staff will find what you like. Not the cheapest pints in Brighton but you certainly get what you pay for. As for food, I wouldn't have a full meal here as it's quite pricey but the dripping chips are delicious!

A few of the quirky features that the pub started with such as "light and dark" have gone but the Dizzy Gull kitchen is a great addition, myself and a few friends had a snack recently and the food was ace!

O.Probably the best beer selection in Brighton. If you're into your beers/ales/ciders you'll find something here you've probably never heard of but will be absolutely delicious! The rotation of items is super quick meaning that everything tastes brilliantly fresh all the time. Don't come in here expecting a Pina Colada, a pint of Fosters or a coffee (because you will get none of these), the clue is in the name 'Brighton Beer Dispensary'. Food very good too.

N. T.The sunday roast was excellent. The right amount and the quality was fantastic. Theres a good selection of beers and soft drinks too. Larger groups may struggle for seating as they don't seem to offer tables with more than 5 seats.
r. b.Cosy little pub with some interesting beers and fun food but in need of some better plumbing. The reason I've only rated this place a three is because the toilets were appalling - the smell of urine was overwhelming, which is a shame and something I hope they fix. There's a good choice of cider and whiskey but I found the keg ale choices somewhat limited as they were almost all from the same brewery and had the same slightly odd taste
R. J.As the name suggests this place is for beer aficionados. The range of ale's on offer is impressive and the food they serve is amazing! The Thai Chicken burger is the perfect fusion of thai cuisine with food in a bun :) The atmosphere is very hipster and full of beards. The only weak point is that if you want a soft drink that isn't dandelion and burdock or some weird version of a cola then you will be out of luck here. For the crowd the pub aims to serve it really hits the mark.
D. G.My favourite drinking hole in the Hove area. Massive changing craft beer and ale menu on a big chalk board. If you're a craft beer fan- you'll know that's a good sign. Also casks and kegs and a tap wall... What more do you need?

A good range of ales are prominently displayed on the blackboard with alcohol strength and prices. As you'd expect, you're welcome to taste any ale before you purchase and it's worth listening to the advice of the experienced and ever helpful bar staff.
