We moved to Brighton a short while ago and from the first day we wondered into Brighton Rocks we where welcomed with open arms. The atmosphere is incredible, vibrant and professional. The drinks are to die for and made by mixologists, so even the standard bourbon and mixer comes tasting incredible with great attention to detail. To make things better the whole drinks menu is reasonably priced, so you can enjoy a great night without the financial fear one can feel the morning after. The biggest attraction is the staff and landlord’s, you are welcomed with table service and you are never without a drink before your approached and asked if your ok and would like another drink. The staff always wear a smile and take the time to get to know you, let alone give advice on drinks should you require. The beers have been hand selected to ensure the highest quality. You are spoilt with the finest lagers and beers. You will not be able to find a fosters or alike at this venue but you won’t be disappointed with the alternatives. Huge selection of wines to your choice and without a doubt the finest whiskey selection I have certainly ever witnessed. I can definitely advise the Rip Van Winkle if you go. It’s incredible. The whole pub is covered in art that draws your attention, you could spend hours just appreciating the incredible and vibrant art around the establishment. Secondly the seating is comfortable with an outside area which is covered with a view of the sea. All in all, the venue is incredible and I can’t recommend it highly enough, you experience the real Brighton! Undoubtedly Kemptowns best kept secret and be sure to ask about Lez the rabbit!

Hidden gem in Kemptown! Smaller, niche environment - good if there's a group of you. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. An Amazing! array of bourbon, rye whiskies which I enjoyed trying. Very relaxed ambience. Toilets could be checked more often please? A food menu would be good and entice people to stay longer, than just for drinks.

Loved this bar!! Found by chance off a side road and glad we did. It sums up everything about Brighton really, quirky, offbeat, slightly grubby 🤗 did a mean bloody Mary for me, perfect! It was pouring when we went so sat inside which is quite dark but SO much to look at, decor is just crazy and fantastic, art and all sorts. An excellent place to visit. Only reason for one star off is the table was really quite sticky and rad not working so a little cold, no great bother for a good night though, we had a great time.

Relaxed Pub atmosphere. Excellent food. One of the best hamburgers I’ve ever had. Fondue Fries were very good. Fried Chicken Breast Tacos were also very good. Very friendly staff. We showed up on a Thursday night and happened upon a Quiz Night. We joined in and had a great time. We felt very welcomed.

What a neat little place! tucked away in a side street, just down from St James's it has a large outside space with awnings and lovely little tables inside - not too busy in these times of Covid and plenty of beers and other drinks and cocktails to choose from. So if you're hardy and don't mind sitting outside in the wind and taking a long look down to the stormy sea this is the place for you - or go inside for a nicely atmospheric candle lit drink or two. Either way you will have a lovely time!

I visited Brighton Rocks for my birthday and ordered one of the Sunday roasts, of which there is a great selection (including vegan), and it was one of the best roasts I've ever had. I would highly recommend this bar to anyone looking for a lovely sunday dinner and a warm atmosphere. Staff are really friendly and service is excellent. Cannot recommend enough.

The staff here are so friendly and helped pick out a cocktail to best suit us. Whilst we were there they were running a 2 for £12 deal which is an amazing deal for cocktails in Brighton. Good atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating.

Popped in on a whim & was wowed by our experience. The food was tapas like rather than fine dining but suited the setting perfectly, lots of people mingling and drinking, and was unbelievably tasty and alright value for money. We stayed and sampled nearly half the cocktail list which was quirky but very tasty. The staff were so much fun and made the night really memorable. The fun design of the bar with loads of little quirks and the brilliant overall service makes it such a shame this great little bar, down a lane from the main street, might get overlooked, but it seemed busy while we were there. Thoroughly recommended.

Considering they have only had the new kitchen open for two weeks, they are doing an amazing job and this is the BEST vegan roast I have ever had! So much food for what you pay for and several options to choose from off of the roast menu, plus such a nice vibe, decor and super friendly staff - highly recommend!

Great venue! rented out a room for free for my 30th birthday the staff are very friendly,organised and accomodating the cocktails are fabulous and the buy one get one free offer is great ! Definitely recommend this place for a party ! Many of my guests had never heard of this place before and where pleasently surprised a great place to go to experience the real brighton

Fantastic vibe, Fantastic bar staff, Jay really had an extensive knowledge of the offered drinks and even the non-alcoholic beer. A true gem of the underground. Haven't felt so welcome and at home in a long time, what was seemingly a joke about a fireplace turned into a man scrambling for the fuel to make a man very happy. Much to learn you have. It's true until you find this underground gem.

I had (tried to have) my 40th birthday party at Brighton Rocks. Fraser gave me the impression that I was in good hands, we agreed on how I want the furniture rearranged so that we have enough room for a performance and dancing afterwords. I was promised to let us play our own music. Long story short - it didn't happen. Staff tried their best to move things quickly for us when we arrived and we couldn't play our music due to a faulty cable. We left soon an went back to the first venue. Stars go to fantastic cocktails and helpful staff. Stars lost are on Fraser for not keeping his side of our agreement and 0 communication with his staff.
