Just arrived in Brighton and went into the pub for a quick drink. Bonkers bingo in progress and a fantastic, fun atmosphere. Landlord Adam and all the regulars made us very welcome. Really friendly. Great evening, warmly recommend the Bedford.

The best "back street boozer" in Brighton. A fantastic, eclectic crowd and a sense that by walking through the door you've become a local. High quality and reasonably priced roast on Sundays. Lunch is followed by drag bingo from 6, which presents a real threat of making Monday mornings unintentionally difficult.

Fell upon this gem. Had a fabulous evening spent with the most welcoming landlord , staff and locals. Jenny had the most amazing voice and vocal range. Made our weekend!

After a long cycle from London to Brighton, we were looking for a place to have a quiet drink before getting food and crashing out early on a Sunday evening. Walking into the first pub we saw, we were greeted by the rilliant staff before even realising we walked into a piano bingo night! The bar staff were friendly and welcoming and the pub has loads of atmosphere. There was a great mix of regulars and newcomers and we ended up staying much later than we should have! A great place, with good beer and an even better atmosphere!

What can I say had booked for the Saturday night and we popped in for a drink in the afternoon, what a welcome from the absolutely gorgeous adam ended up staying in there for most of our stay. Saturday night cabaret kara van park was fantastic one of the best I have seen.sunday lunch was lovely as was mark the chef and all the staff who worked whilst we were there the piano bingo was so good we all laughed from start to finish have never experienced anything like it before, brilliant. The six of us cannot wait to return.

wow what can i say, a fantastic pub, , the landlord Adam and his team made our group of six ladies feel very very welcome,Saturday night consisted of entertainment from the lovely Kara Van Park who was amazing and Sunday lunch was delicious and great value for money, followed by piano bingo, which was so much fun, we can`t wait to return

A great, friendly place with an eclectic bunch of regulars. Always made to feel welcome when visiting here, and treated as a regular from the off. A good selection of wines beers and spirits and regular fun things through the week, like quizzingo, piano bingo and regular live entertainment. Adam, Jason and the team are simply fab. What a fabulous friendly pub. Have to say the staff were the best. Friendly polite helpful and even as it got super busy on Christmas Eve they were fantastic. It gets pretty hit in here when it's full to capacity but a great social pub to be in. Even the toilets remained clean during this busy time. We had a fantastic night and the drag entertainment was brilliant. A great place to spend the night and very cosy

I have loved this place, since it was taken over by Adam & his excellent team 8 years ago. To say they transformed the pub is an understatement. Without fail, the staff are lovely, welcoming & efficient. It takes a lot to run a good, local pub. The team here provide this in spadefuls. Lots going on from goulish Halloween shenanigans, Christmas in the summer, through to the Easter bonnet parade, they take their entertainment very seriously! Sunday lunch is excellent & hugely good value with a glass of wine included for 10.95. A really well run pub!!!

We were lucky enough to get a table here for Sunday Lunch and it over delivered in so many ways. My boyfriend is currently on a low FODMAP diet and so can't eat foods such as onion and garlic. Usually this makes it near impossible to dine out but the chef at The Bedford Tavern was incredibly accommodating and made a whole new batch of potatoes and gravy especially. The food was also delicious. Often when you have a roast away from home it doesn't taste quite as good. The potatoes might not be quite how you like them or the Yorkshire pudding might be a bit dry but not here! Was like a home away from home. The chef also sings! Really well, I should add. I've never been treated to a live Grease medley whilst eating a roast but I can't recommend the experience enough :)

Just moved to Hove and sampling all sorts of pubs. Looking for gay friendly pub closer to Hove and decided to go here (Sunday afternoon) due to good reviews. The pub is cosy and bar staff friendly. The locals seem to be having fun singing along with the piano man and playing piano bingo. I will definitely return and looking forward to other (quieter) nights. Also curious to try their Sunday roast.

If there's a special occasion, go to the Bedford. They celebrate well here. Hard working and friendly bar staff serving pint after pint to all those thirsty punters. Great for drag acts and general purpose fun times. You'll come away with a smile on your face.

A truly great gay bar that has fantastic staff and a wonderful atmosphere. This venue has the best Sunday Roasts in Brighton ( vegetarian is perfection ) meat and veg lovely . If you want entertaining then this is cabaret at its best . The exceptionally talented Spice is the most wonderful entertainer in Brighton ( well I love her shows ) and makes a visit to this bar worthwhile . Cabaret artists are on over weekends and Andy co hosting Sunday fun is such a lovely man ( caustic tongue in cheek host ) Musical bingo Sunday , drag artistes cabaret each weekend , great food on a Sunday . Well come along !

Sundays here offer a warm welcome and a superbly delicious roast. The 8-hour pork belly melts in the mouth and is exceptional value at just under eleven pounds including a glass of wine. There's not a frozen, pre-prepared item in sight on the plate and the generous helpings disappear with ease. Top tip - Try and leave enough space for the cheese board for dessert.
