Lovely pub with great, friendly staff. Great character building with a lovely beer garden. Also great for private hire and sports upstairs! Amazing Thai food, with an incredibly priced lunch deal. Hugely recommend.

Great local pub, food is amazing everytime! We had 3 the starters offer 3 for £12 - vegetable spring rolls, salt and pepper squid and spicy chicken wings. Absolutely loved the chicken wings, they had such a great sauce. We also had a prawn pad thai and a prawn green curry which were both excellent, as always. Very spacey venue and great staff. Will always come back here!

Great pub with good selection of drinks. We didn't eat but hear the food is good. Outside area great with lots of booths and heaters, plenty of seats inside. Could do with some more staff as long wait to get served and staff rushed off feet, it's a busy pub with a mix of ages.

The staff were pleasant showed a presance without being overbareing had access to heating for individual tables which made the visit comfortable stayed for a extra pint as a result. Amazing place. Stop number one on our bar crawl, so good that we ended the night back here. Incredible beer selection, I chose the marshmallow porter which was delicious. Met up with a friend to celebrate her birthday, ordered a delicious Thai meal but took over an hour to arrive (not sure why as they weren't terribly busy) and I was really hungry. I have to say the food was worth the wait though! They have sectioned off in the pub to allow people adequate spacing, just need a few more staff to help with table service!

This place was the embodiment of my university experience, and I mean that in a good way. The amount of hours I’ve spent in this pubs beer garden is unreal. The atmosphere is always fun, especially at night, the staff are lovely, the food is really good (although not the best pub food I’ve had in Brighton either). The alcohol prices are as expensive as you’d expect from most pubs in Brighton, but the student deals are really really good value. When I was a student I didn’t really enjoy more student centric places like the hobgoblin as I didn’t like the crowds and tacky music. I remember finding The Hare and Hounds, that also catered well to students but had a much more down to earth atmosphere, and it feeling like a godsend. I’ve left uni now and it’s still one of my favourite places in Brighton :)

Such a great pub, a bit away from the crowded seafront areas of Brighton, but filled with craft beers, great service and even tasty Thai food. Definitely worth a visit if you live in Brighton or want to try somewhere new when you come down to the south coast. Try out a Sunday roast here, sit outside in their beer garden, and watch a game of rugby upstairs. Had several great afternoons and evenings here!

I was made a mistake when I ordered and when I asked for it to be changed the girl with the ponytail and shaved sides was very nice and professional about it. I really appreciated her attitude. I wish I could have tipped somehow but didn't have cash. If the owners could giver her a wee bonus or free hour or something I think it would be well deserved

I quite like this pub, spacious, a bit like a grown up, Nickelodeon themed playroom. A lot of the cool-kids hang here for an end of week drink. Beer is good, but not cheap, and i haven't eaten their since Kitgum had a guest slot, so can't comment on the grub.

Nice pub. It is very spacious. Lots of room inside. Lots of room out back with lots of seating. Couple of benches out front. Decent beer selection. Very good food from what remember. Great if you're a meat eater. Can get pretty busy on the weekend. And music can get quite loud which is annoying. Inside has tables as well as booths. Outback has of lots of booths with heaters. I recommend this pub!

Very nice pub with great selection of drinks. Staff friendly can be hit and miss. This weekend for my first round I was served by a really friendly guy, seemed happy doing what he was doing. The Hare and Hounds is a really great pub. The staff are all really friendly and even though it can be quite busy sometimes I've never had any issues with them. It's quite spacious so is good for groups and it has a really nice atmosphere and interior. The prices are slightly expensive but nothing really to complain about and it's definitely one of my favourite pubs in Brighton. They also have a kitchen and there tends to be good food. Overall it's somewhere I'd definitely recommend

Lovely pub, amazing Sunday roast! And although a ramp is required to get in, for wheelchair users, they imediately crab it and put it down, without an ounce of trouble! They also put down the ramp for the toilet, without a word said! Really excellent disability customer service! I just felt like a customer, not " the special one", or, " the awkward one". By far one of my top 5 bars in Brighton. Great space indoor and outdoor, food menu and bar variety in spirits and beer. In the summer the outdoor terrace is decorated in lights making a romantic area to chill after work or a gig. Staff are friendly and spirited and they know a lot about theyre products.

Great atmosphere, awesome selection of beer, and really good Mexican food (from the same people as La Chosa), and a beer garden tucked away in the back. One of my favourite pubs in Brighton. The only downside is that it no matter how many bar staff they have working, it always takes a while to get a drink. But try the nachos with pulled pork, you won't regret it!

La Choza has now gone, the new menu is a BBQ style one and quite expensive (£15 for pork belly and a side) The drinks are still expensive. The staff make up for this, one guy tall with glasses and messy hair was just so friendly and kind, he made me smile a lot. The location is good too. They used to run video game days/wrestling quizzes. That made the pub more fun. I would give four stars but no the Mexican food is gone I cant.

Fantactic pub, dog freindly too, wich meant that we could have a drink and the dogo could too. Would highly recommend, staff were freindly and inclusive of all in the party, bringing treats and water for the dog. Whil for the more bipedal a large selection of ales is offered from a large veriety of independent breweries around the country. The atmophere was welcoming and allowed for conversation.
