Oh my days, we had such a great time here! The drinks were fantastic - try the sake martini.. oh my days, it's heavenly! We tried a few dishes from the Lost Boys in house... definitely going back! Some of the best wings we've had out in a looong time! You can see others rave about them.

Drinks are not student friendly!! There is a room upstairs where you can play some games but the vibe up there was a bit weird and anoyingly the pool table wasn't working when I was there with my friends. The bar staff were very friendly and happy to chat.

The Joker is a beautiful venue in an easily accessible location. Based on Preston Circus the Joker is less than a 5 minute walk from London Road train station. The staff inside are very friendly and accommodating - I would highly recommend you visit!

Went here for the Lost Boys Chicken and wasn't disappointed! Burgers and Wings we had were delicious and the Loaded Curly Fries were great. Was reasonably busy but we were still served really quickly which was great as wee had our son with us. One thing for families to note which we didn't realise before visiting is that there is a no U18 after 8pm policy - luckily we booked for 6:30pm so had plenty of time to have food and drinks with our 9 year old son.

Fantastic cocktails and wonderful staff! If you’ve just moved to Brighton or new to the area, everyone is very welcoming and so it’s great place to get to know people or the local area. Also the Lost Boys fries are amazing!

Had a fabulous 40th birthday party upstairs in the cocktail lounge and games room. The staff were really friendly and helpful right until the end of the night. They even decorated our room with balloons and personalised the cinema board for us. Great cocktails, fine and beer at the bar. I didn't eat but those that did said it was delicious. A fab night in a great part of Brighton :)

Having enjoyed this pub for a few years I decided to host a private event at their upstairs venue and it was a big success. The venue was perfect, the staff were lovely and the drinks were special. Whenever I had a question the team were very helpful and quick to respond. Would highly recommend!

Absolutely perfect venue for an event. I hosted my 30th birthday here for 40 guests and I couldn't have asked for more. The staff were so helpful and the venue is everything you could want. Margaritas are the best in Brighton and food is lush too. Highly recommended!

I frequently attend The Joker for the Lost Boys chicken, love that food and the location. I have also recently hired out the first floor to host the birthday of my partner. The management were great with quick and effective communication on the matter. On the day, was great with very helpful staff who were accommodating and seemed to bend over backwards to help out and make it a great time for everyone involved. Only negative was ruining my suit on a loose nail on one of the seats

Probably the best pub food in Brighton! My friends always go there for the wings (I am vegan) and say how incredible they are. Honestly they rave about them! The staff are always super friendly and can’t fault their selection of beers. Would recommend!

Fantastic food, the chicken wings and sandwiches are really good, you do have to wait for them however when they turn up they feel freshly cooked and all the better for it and curly fries (bloody delicious). Ok beer selection, could do with a few more decent craft beers on tap. The decor is great, welcoming yet trendy. The only reason the 5th star has been knocked off is due to the staff as they can be quite surly and probably the least welcoming in what is otherwise a great place to while away a Saturday afternoon.

Good selection of beers and excellent chicken wings with a range of Buffalo-style hot sauces by The Orange Buffalo. I had the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich which was really tasty but too messy to pick up. Nice milkshakes, but a bit tricky to drink with the eco-friendly paper straws.

I've been about 2 or 3 times, with tonight being my 3rd time. Staff have always been friendly, food and drink are great, and the environment is overall what you would expect - generally pleasant but then later on in the evening, some of the more rowdy people start rolling in. My partner and I love to come here to try out different flavours of wings usually, and they're always very delicious. Would definitely recommend to anybody considering going there.

We had a slight confusion over tables as we were told we could move but then told it was booked (we had booked but had asked to move.) Great lunch menu although they were out of the Jackfruit "chicken wings" when we went and the bbq sauce everyone wanted. Our substitutes were delicious though. Would try them again. Great interior and relaxed atmosphere.

Felt a little unwelcome to begin with as it is more of a pub where we were thinking more of a restaurant. The menu was all online which would be fine except there was no coverage on O2, had to wander the streets to get enough coverage to download the menu. When we did download the menu, it's one of those menus where the fonts are all crazy to make it seem hip. Nice touch but one of the sauce choices wasn't readable at all, we had to ask what it was. The online menu says "PTO for more info on the sauces" well you can't because the second page is missing from the online version. When we finally knew what we wanted, we ordered and then my life changed...LOST BOYS CHICKEN, GO THERE NOW...I've been searching for hot wings that matched what I've tasted in the states and it's a shame it's so far away from where I live or I'd be eating here everyday...fries and wings where perfect! My complaints above are really minimal because the food really makes up for it.

Great pub, with a great atmosphere. Drinks are reasonably priced. As a massive fan of wings I would rate this place as the best buffalo wings in Brighton. The events space is also quite spacious - just get there early if you want to order wings on a Friday!

Five of us turned up on a Wednesday evening, all with bikes. They kindly let us bring our bikes inside as we didn't want to lock them up outside the pub. Cosy atmosphere inside and the food was delicious. Had the chicken burger and saucy fries. Watch out for the 'no name' sauce as it has a serious kick! I'm allergic to egg and the chef (Mark, I think) was brilliant in terms of advising me and making sure everything was egg free, but without making a song & dance about it. Would recommend a visit

Very nice inside, love the pub food (especially for flavour/spice fiends). Most of the staff is very welcoming, pleasant and are concerned for your comfort and experience. Good selections of micro brew, private and standard beers. Never too noisy and great venue for events in a secret upstairs room. Clean bathrooms and seating areas. Panoramic window views. Good for hanging out, 6-person groups or a special 1-on-1.

These wings are absolutely exceptional, I mean different level good. They are 3 for 2 on a Wednesday as well. They have about 8 different flavours and serve them all with a blue cheese dip (I've had better BCD, but it's still a nice touch. The other products on the menu are however slightly overrated, I've had the Vegan burger and it's about a 6. The Beer selection is different and quirky, expensive but in line with the rest of the area. The food took 1 hour and 10 mins to come out and they forgot the fries, they did say it would be at least 45 mins so we were ok with this. The house alcoholic Ginger Beer is the best I've ever tasted. Big fan of this place

The staff were great. Considering we were a large group (14) all in for food early on a Sunday, there were a couple of hiccups but they sorted it all out for us without any fuss. The food was really good, although the menus are a little bit busy and a tad confusing. The tater tots are awesome!

However the great part about this pub is it is home to Lost Boys Chicken and they single handed have the best wings in Brighton. Some of the guest sauces they do are fantastic Also they doa wing Wednesday deal if you can get down there on a Wednesday it's well worth it. Though the prices in for the food is great anyway.

The Joker does the best chicken wings I have ever had. The staff are always friendly and the atmosphere is always good. The wings cater for all tastes from the non adventurous BBQ wings to the sheer crazy Viper Wings. The only negative I can think of is it can be fairly expensive for a drink compared to other local pubs.

Went there after hearing their wings are the best. Being a wing man I thought I'll try. I wasn't impressed. Went down to simple reason of too much butter in their mix. Wasn't hot and diluted them. The actual chicken themselves however were lovely and crisp. Little overpriced as well for what it was.

Best chicken in the south, homemade sauce, fresh fried chicken. If perfecttaste and texture is what ur after, this is the place. I'd advise ordering on deliveroo or coming in at a non-busy time as waiting times can me in excess of 40 minutes. Having said that, their selection of on tap beers and cider are fantastic, so bring some friends and the time will fly, and before you know it you will be dining on some world class chicken-ee goodness. Korean wings with blue cheese dip are my favorite.
