Reviews of The Lion & Lobster

Been here once before, their Sunday lunch is a must try! Absolute perfection on a plate; I had the pork belly and it was everything I remember. Hot, fast to the table and tasty food, friendly staff and an array of places to eat or drink around the pub, including their stunning roof terrace which is sort of internal so you can’t see out but not a problem when it’s so pretty. Cheers!

Nice pub and good food. I booked it as it looked nice on the photos and it had good reviews, it was also close to where we were staying. The venue is really big - it has multiple areas, pub and restaurant, but while you're inside it feels nice and cozy. I had the steak and it was beautifully cooked and tasty (pic attached).

Perfect pub for a cozy pint by the fire. Also has TVs so you can watch sport on the weekend as well!
I’ve been here for a night out with friends, been upstairs for dinner with parents who were in town. Definitely recommend, get the burger.

Lovely and pretty! Great walk here from Seaford. However the area is quite crowded as it is a tourist hotspot. Still a nice stop off point especially if you continue down to the beach and river at Cuckmere Haven

Love this place, a regular haunt for decades. Good beer selection, food. Staff are always top dollar. The bar is a maze so don’t forget to venture upstairs, the outside roof terrace is great any time of the year. Look out for the old glass peeping floor!

Cosy local neighborhood typical English pub, with lovely staff. We just came for a drink and were treated like their best guests.

Don't worry about the strange connotations of the sign, inside is a wonderland of little nooks, irregular stairs and odd doors. The staff were helpful and attentive and the food was quite definitely food flavoured (you take your chances with pub grub, and theirs wasn't half bad). Just be careful of the upper floor because folks smoke on the roof and they leave the door open a lot.

Good pub for the colder season. Food is ok, but that's really not what you go to the Lion and Lobster for. There's a functioning fireplace and the staff are as warm and inviting. The interiors are on the good end of kooky and will excite the more curious among us.
