We have been to the Mucky Duck on 2 occasions this past week, once for a lunch time Thai extravaganza and Sunday for a roast and I held off reviewing before having had both. The food is to die for, both meals over delivered and to begin with the Thai food was super cheap (under £8) for both a starter and main. It was by far the best Thai food I have ever had. Light, crisp and tasted healthy. You couldn’t ask for more. The Sunday roast was insane, the meat was so tender, the roast potatoes so crisp and the sides where lush. Honestly the best roast I have had away from home cooking. The pub itself has a large range of lovely beers on tap with the usual selection of spirits. We didn’t sample any wine so unable to comment but plenty of people in the pub where drinking it. The decor is fresh and the seating sturdy. It could have some pillows as it’s all wooden seating but to be frank you don’t feel uncomfortable so I won’t complain. All facilities are clean and in good order. The staff are super friendly and helpful, we were all asked numerous time to see if we where ok through both visits and we where waited on hand and foot. Can’t wait to return. Such a great establishment and you will not be dissapointed either your there for a drink or a bite to eat.

We visited for the Superb Thai food, which we'd experienced previously when the Thai's were at the Saint James up the street. The food if anything has got better and bigger! The pub has a good range of drinks and service from bar staff ok.

The Mucky Duck is a gem of a pub. There is always a warm welcome to be had there from the lovely staff. I can only highly reconnend you try it out. It is an excellent pub!

Lovely little pub I didn't even know existed until they hosted The Alternative Escape as a venue! Stage set up is a little odd for the stage (two pillars mean some of the musicians are partially blocked from view when performing), but a great atmosphere and good range of drinks. I hear the roast is good too, so will have to come back and try that when it's quieter.

Okay, so on the nights I've been on this pub, there have been fantastic musicians playing really good quality folk music; which has added greatly to the atmosphere and the craic. But, in addition, the staff are really friendly and the selection and quality of ales, blend to leave a lasting impression that has me looking forward to going back at the soonest opportunity.

A friendly pub that has live music on weekday evenings. I've only been twice but each night was live music. Wednesday was an Irish band and a Thursday was a Latin folk group. The food is good and is hand made in the pub. Excellent all round.

Overall our night was very good but we had a bad experience with one bartender that was really rude. We've been ordering food and lots of drinks for about 3hs and bartender with dreadlocks and brown hair guy were really nice. The blonde one with shaved side heads, mullets and black square glasses was really really disrespectful. We had company discount all night for drinks and this guy didnt want to give us discount and didn't serve us properly until we had to call the other bartender that finally added the discount we were entitled to. As a result the blond mullet hair guy with square glasses was giving us the finger!!!

This place is nothing short of amazing. The interior is quite Scandinavian and the staff is incredibly helpful. I booked a table for a birthday and not only did the chef make special options for the dietary requirements of some of the guests, they took care of everyone from start to finish. And that's not even mentioning the amazing range of beers available. Couldn't recommend this place more.

It's a great location but I find the place a bit dingy inside and the toilets are so old that it feels a bit dirty down there. They have a good selection of beers but I found the greasy paws a bit too greasy I could smell the cooking fat in the burger which made me feel a bit sick.

Had a really nice roast here the other day I'm veggie and my sister is vegan, there were only two left at around 4 O clock which says it all really, because mine was literally the nicest roast I've had in ages my sister and meat eating dad agreed. The lady in charge was really lovely and helpful even though we had a grumpy, hungry dad with us. Lovely atmosphere, staff and food! Highly recommend.

I went once and I had an amazing hamburger with pommes frites. In this pub you can enjoy the typical UK's pub style. It's highly recommended if you want to drink a good beer and eat something and you don't want to spend too much. The only downside is that it ins't in the centre...it's like 20 minutes from the Brighton Pier by foot

A great back street pub frequented by locals rather than tourists as it is hidden in a side street off the seafront road. Sell a good range of drinks, snacks and meals. Well worth a visit if you want to get away from the tourist traps on the seafront.

Visted numerous times and always a pleasure. We saw a band here on the Saturday and then had lunch on the Sunday. Stunning Sunday Roast worth every penny. Meat cooked to perfection and very tender. I had the Lamb and Chicken and my partner had the Pork. The chef obviously takes pride in preparing every element as everything was tasty from the potatoes to the gravy and even the veg cooked al dente.
