We had a meal there and the main meal was very good however the dessert was not so good as the Menu was miss leading the artisan cheese did not say how many and the crumble did not come with two scoops of ice cream as expected the staff were helpful and as a result we were given a discount which was appreciated the whole experience was good but perhaps the menu should be clearer

Really friendly staff and reasonable prices. Had some chips and they were great! The decor is well done and some funny pictures of animals wearing suits. The location is also brilliant, just a couple minutes from the beach with incredible views.

Absolutely brilliantly located pub, just off the main road of Rottingdean. The local beer is sublime. Staff are friendly and swift. There are a few vegan options on the (locally sourced) menu and the prices are not extortionate. I can very much recommend the roasted vegetable and avocado baguette, which I had with chips. I can honestly say it must be the best sandwich I've ever had, even considering when I ate meat. Speaking of, if you're what I constantly refer to as a normal person, the locally sourced meat options look fantastic, and the family that were with me can vouch for the taste. Of particular interest for those who eat whatever, the deli board has a brilliant selection of cheese and meats. Added to this, the Sussex beef and horseradish baguette looked sublime, and was happily received by my companion. All in all, a brilliant pub set back from the main road, with excellent choice in food and drink highly recommend.

Lovely welcome, cosy atmosphere, delicious food. We were in the area and stumbled on the pub in the dark and rain. The welcome was friendly and warm (the fire a bonus). The menu choices nice and varied, the specials board great. Vegetarian and vegan options too. 2 meat eaters and 2 vege's left very happy.

Wow! This pub was great. Having a great atmosphere and the friendliest staff, would definitely recommend. Along with this the food was scrumptious and came in no time. I had my family with me and we all cleaned our plates. Great pub.

Went on Sunday to celebrate a birthday. The roasts we had were delicious and the staff were very polite and friendly. Prices reasonable. It was also dog friendly which is why we chose it initially. Happily go back if we lived closer.

Dam fine moist Pulled Pork Burger, fries with skins on with amazing seasoning, Chicken Wings out of this world with a sage & onion stuffing seasoning. Chocolate fudge cake, sweet moist & gooey with an amazing sweet but strong chocolate sauce. 10/10. Friendly & attentative staff 10/10.

Received very warm welcome and even though we hadn't booked and the restaurant was really busy we were quickly found a table. We both had the roast beef and it was absolutely delicious..the best we've had anywhere for a very long time. All the staff were very friendly and attentive. The food is good but this isn't the place if you drink ale. They usually offer a couple of cask ales but I've never had a decent pint here. They don't even offer any keg bitters or even bottles of beer. If you drink lager or wine then you're going to be fine.

Absolutely brilliant pub experience! All new COVID guidelines adhered to. Really lovely staff. Food was exceptional - I would recommend the baked Tunworth starter. If you’re looking for a little UK getaway, be sure to make your way to Rottingdean and experience the Plough. :)

The roast is definitely filling and there was a good variety of flavours on the plate. The pigs in blankets were really nice as well with a good crisp on the bacon. The staff were quite friendly, and accomodating when I wanted to change things like the ice cream on the sticky toffee pudding.

The Plough Inn is a delightfully atmospheric pub full of historical character. The staff are very warm and welcoming, and importantly for me they don't rush you. The food is excellent and in fact I think that the roast dinner I had today may have been one of the best I have ever eaten.The pricing is fair for the quality of food recieved. I would highly recommend a family Sunday lunch at the Plough Inn.

My girlfriend and I decided to come to The Plough Inn on the last night of our holiday. The gorgeous smell outside and the beautiful scenery lured us in and we made it top of our list to go to. It was safe to say we made an excellent selection! The Plough Inn has a superb menu, very friendly staff and a great atmosphere. The seats were nice and comfortable (which can be hard to find in a good pub) and the food was delicious. We both had cod and chips and it was truly spectacular. I would warn to people looking into coming to book in advance though as it is can be hard to get a reservation, especially on promotional nights. 10/10 would eat there again.

Excellent place for traditional Sunday Lunch. 7 of us had 6 different meals, each one was really good. Absolutely no complaints. The staff were wonderful, and really helpful. Beer was good too. Altogether a good experience.

Went to the plough inn for the first time Wednesday night, 2for1 burgers and had a great time, the food was excellent the service was great, made to feel welcome by the staff...not so much by the other customers as we had 3 babies and one small child with us, but that was great for us as we had a section at the back of the pub to ourselves!
