There are few pubs in this area of Brighton which can offer as much space and choice as Fiveways Brighton and I have to applaud the refurbishment. It might be a bit forced and hotel loungey, but it has transformed the pub into somewhere that feels incredibly welcoming, colourful and comfortable. It will now appeal to a huge cross-section of potential punters, whether the girls are going out for cocktails, the boys are watching the match, or mums and babies are meeting for afternoon coffees. Thursday night and on a works Christmas do with a friend. Excellent, friendly service for us and the dog! Enjoyed a perfectly cooked sirloin steak and a cheese & bacon burger. And pudding. And drinks!! Pub very clean and not too busy. Good value for money.

I love the re-furb. I ate here during this visit. I had fish and chips, really tasty meal. Food and plate was hot. We where served from the table and I found the staff so helpful and friendly. Plus this pub is very dog friendly. They have a jar of treats on the bar and will give your dog bowls of water. A great place 🤩

Pub looks lovely inside now. We had some drinks and a meal arriving at the pub at about 530pm.We had to wait about 40 mins for the meal to start. They forgot our extras which we had to chase twice. Sauce did eventually come but only after having to chase the server around the pub and then the sauce was cold. We were not given a chance to feedback at the time. I wouldn't try and eat here on a Saturday afternoon / evening again tbh but the pub is nice and the drinks are good value.

service is rather slow and I waited a long time to be served at the bar on a fairly quiet evening, not sure how they'd cope on a busy night. Portion sizes dont really seem to be very big either. I only received 3 things of battered halloumi on my plate and twice now they have been out of regular coke. Although having said this there is a rather lively atmosphere and the staff are bery friendly and polite. They do hold a very entertaining weekly quiz night with a fantastic host too. I must say it's also a good pub to be able to watch sports at.

Lovely relaxed Greene king pub. Good for watching the football with the kids, not too rowdy! Food is lovely and reasonably priced, they have offers on certain days. There’s an app you can get and you can win a free pint if you guess the first goal scorer etc etc.

Husband and I were looking for a reasonably priced place to eat and this little gem was right around the corner (after going into town and finding it difficult to find somewhere we liked). We ordered the signature dishes and they were absolutely delicious, the staff are very friendly and the atmosphere was relaxing and sociable. Thoroughly recommend if your looking for value for money without compromising on taste, atmosphere and relaxation.

This venue has improved ten fold since a young lady called Debs has joined the team. The service seems much quicker and the food is more consistent. Also a big shout to the rest of the bar team. Hopes the improvements continue.

We travel from Plymouth Devon, for my husband love of West Ham. We had great seats, the stewards in and around the stadium were very efficient and extremely helpful, we felt very safe. The Queen Elizabeth Stadium, very impressive indeed.

Food is average and slow to arrive even if there is a few people having food in the whole pub. It seem like it is a snails pace to make the simple food. Pies not bad as i suppose these a bought in. Never got wraps even though it has wraps on the sandwich menu. Maybe do less food better and quicker. Staff are always really nice though.

I visited Fiveways last Wednesday evening as a customer with a friend and I was very impressed with how well things were being ran as a socially distanced pub. I work for GK at a different site and I was pleased to see that other pubs were taking the measures put in place seriously whilst maintaining a friendly atmosphere. I had some food which arrived quickly and was well presented. Using the app drinks were quickly delivered to my table by friendly staff. I would definitely recommend fiveways and I am likely to visit again when next in Brighton

This pub has moderately priced drinks, and after its renovation a year or so ago it has turned into a nice family friendly pub. It serves good food from a nicely presented menu, and has several screens dotted around for watching various sports. My local place for watching England play!

My local for a long time. It has seen several changes in ownership and customers. The constant has been good bar staff I have always found them friendly and efficient a quality in old fashioned pubs for which you can forgive much else. Good staff make a pub as bad or indifferent ones destroy it.

Lovely Sunday roast but my lamb shank was a little too fatty for my taste. The while dish was a little on the salty side but my dad and gran really enjoyed their roast beef. Lovely staff too!

A perfectly serviceable pub. It feels like a chain, whether it is or not, has some mildly interesting drink choices, but no coffee facilities above instant. Was offered either Hot Chocolate or Luxury Hot Chocolate, the latter was the same powder and hot milk but with squirty cream and a flake.

Friendly local pub which has recently had a makeover - reasonable selection of craft and standard beers ... the locally brewed 'Fiveways' pint - just for this pub - is particularly good. Food is averagely priced, good portions - quality is a bit above average modern pub farye but not gastro. General ambience is a bit lacking, the staff are friendly and helpful.

The food was excellent and it was made fresh plus the pub was lovely and clean and the bar person was very friendly it was the first time I went and would go again and would recommend it to other people plus the food was cheap and they do children meals which the children are allowed in till 9pm

Since renovated 5 years ago this pub had gone from strength to strength. It's relaxed, serves great food and it's just around the corner. (not the case for everyone though). Ohhh. and if you're into sports then this is your pub. Large screens and loads of seating to accomodate you and all your mates.

I can't say this pub is part of a chain for certain, but it certainly has that chain pub whiff to it. Which is not necessarily a bad thing and indeed this seems a perfectly nice pub, at least at the lunchtime we visited. Food is cheaply priced and servicable, if not exactly knocking down the door of the Michelin Stars office. Likewise the beer choice is good, but firmly set in the middle of the road. Perfectly nice but not doing anything to make you feel like giving it any more of a glowing reciew than this one.

This family friendly public house situated on a busy junction is a great place for catching up with friends over a quiet drink or watching sports on a giant projector. For the quizzers amogst you there is a very popular pub quiz on Thursday nights.

Das Essen ist ganz OK. Das Curry war aber nicht so mein Fall. Das Wasser schmeckt leicht nach Chlor aber ist ansonsten ganz OK. (Translated) The food is quite OK. The curry wasn't my cup of tea though. The water tastes slightly of chlorine but is otherwise quite OK.
