England's best vegan pub. My fiance and I were very happy with our meals and the great service provided by the friendly staff. We are looking forward to our next visit. The only thing that could be improved; the outdoor seating could use a few more screws.

We came for the Sunday Roast. We were not disappointed. It was AMAZING. I've never enjoyed a plant based dinner as much as I did this one. Highly recommended. We tried to get their recipe for vegan Yorkshire pudding, but they're hanging on to that secret!

Great vibe here. Loads of awesome decor and paintings in the toilets. Staff are really friendly and helpful. Food is good too. Great selection of both alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks alike for those of you who are non-drinkers.

A cold Tuesday night was made lovely by the warm welcome at The Roundhill. We had a table for two, and the staff were attentive. They have a great selection of drinks on their menu, including cocktails and specials. We had one cocktail each and they were delicious (cherry bakewell was mine, really good). The vegan food menu was hard to chose from, all sounded good - from bites, small and large plates. We shared cauliflower wings - great coating, pickles and wasabi mayo, generous portion too - and some houmous with fresh pitta bread - also absolutely delicious. Followed cocktails with a great aperol spritz and then went for their satay mushroom burger. The textures were spot on, crispy kale gave it bite, as did the ‘burger’. All the sauces and trimmings were tasty and the bun was quality - not a brioche thank goodness! Triple cooked chips were a classic and well cooked. Didn’t have room for a dessert but judging by everything else I’m sure they would be ace. All through the staff were super friendly and checked on us without being intrusive. In fact we had a good laugh with them. The atmosphere was really relaxed and decor was homely. Music was at right volume and you weren’t on top of other diners. They do have events there - like ring making workshops and guest musicians. Would be worth checking out methinks. Great place, super food, highly recommend and will return.

🌱 Excellent experience at The Roundhill, discovering their 100% plant-based menu! 🌿 Bright and welcoming atmosphere and friendly, kind staff. Nice decoration and colourful toilets thanks to @thomasneillart 🎨 Delicious, healthy food but very good portions. The cauiliflower panko bites were absolutely divine, the buffalo sauce had a bit of a nice kick. The Beyond Meat classic burger with also delicious, cheesy and beautifully cooked. Next time will definitely try the Buddha Bowl (it is massive but so colourful) or am very curious by their Vegan Roast! Unreal! Amazing vegan roast .. all plates for a table of 8 or 9 of us.. were served in harmony in the space of a minute and all hot This has never happened to me eating in large groups. Someone always is eating when the rest are done The food was super delicious!! One tip tho.. of you have a fussy one in the group.. who doesn’t like gravy! ( WHAAAAT.. I know ) they serve the vegan roast with gravy already on so that should help you out ✨ Can’t WAIT to return … this was impeccable and the staff were very wonderful ✨ Relaxed, clean, organised… DELICIOUS 10/10 Also they were happy to take off the mash and replace with something else so friendly and fair :) well priced

I never write reviews but I just had to. The Roundhill is honestly one of the best places I’ve eaten in Brighton! I’m actually a meat eater but if I could eat amazing vegan food like this everyday I would be vegan tomorrow! The staff are so friendly and hospitable that we were even offered blankets as we were sat outside. The wine is delicious and both the food and drink are extremely fairly priced for the quality. Would 1000000% recommend ✨

Cannot recommend this pub enough especially if you are vegetarian or vegan. The pub is 100% vegan. The decor is really cosy and friendly with such a lovely array of plants. The staff were so friendly and efficient and the food was so delicious. We had the Sunday roast which was scrumptious and huge! We shall definitely be returning.

Great Vegan restaurant, fantastic food and really nice atmosphere. My daughter ordered the buffalo cauliflower which was too spicy we asked to get the BBQ ones to replace them and they removed the original ones from the bill without us asking them to. Excellent service.

Beautiful inside, had a very cosy atmosphere. The pub has been really nicely decorated. The menu was very varied, I went for the rigatonni which was a winner, next time I will be going for the burger. We were served quickly with the waiters being super helpful and friendly. We came here for the Sunday roast and they did not disappoint! One of the best vegan roasts in Brighton! Great flavours, huge portions, friendly attentive staff, nicely decorated pub and lovely atmosphere. Look forward to visiting again to try other things on the menu (including dessert - as we were too full). Social distancing measures in place and they cater for both vegan and gluten free which was perfect for us!

Probably one of the best Vegan places to eat in Brighton. Super quality vegan food that's not centered around mock meats, although these are options on the menu. The food looks amazing, and tastes as good as it looks. Superb Melon salmon, that has the texture of good sashimi. Mock duck that replicates that chewy, fatty mouth feel of the real thing. Super fresh, super flavourful veggies that make your mouth sing. Add in excellent sized portions, brilliant, helpful customer service and just unbeatable value for money... You just cannot go wrong.

We couldn't get a booking for Sunday lunch, but we kept trying and luckily there was a cancellation. We drove for 2.5 hrs to get here and ordered the roast "lamb" and the nut-roast. Both were excellent. The "lamb" was perfectly textured and the nut-roast was rich with brasil and walnuts. The trimmings were generous and moorish. Delicious and well worth the 5 hr return journey...

That balsamic glaze brings it all together 🙏⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Smashed Lime Avocado on Sourdough. 😊🙌 Really tasty.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ 💨 Smoked 'Salmon' on The Bread. THIS was the ONE 🤤⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Spicy Beans... it's like they know me! Weekend away with the family, booked dinner here for the Saturday night. Arrived to friendly service and a good atmosphere. We were initially a bit disappointed that the menu seemed a bit restrictive but it's because EVERYTHING IS SO GOOD. Genuinely surprised by how good it all was. Will make a beeline back. Bbq wings were excellent. Pasta was excellent. Buddha bowl was excellent. Even chips were excellent. Puddings were also excellent. I assume the burgers were good as the family sat in total silence for the first 10 minutes after it all arrived. Strong recommend.

My 5 stars are for the food. We sat outside and ordered food and drink that was brought to us efficiently and politely. This is a vegan pub, even the beer is vegan, and the food was delicious. You could be forgiven thinking the burgers were meat based but all totally vegan. The cauliflower 'wings' are also highly recommended by this carnivore. Try this place out - you'll go again for sure.

Service was adequate. Seating was reasonable although the table we were given was clearly designed for smaller individuals than myself as I could not actually get my legs under it. The best vegan roast I have ever had. Literally. There aren’t enough words to describe how delicious our roast was here (their Seitan lamb tastes SO good). I haven’t stopped thinking about it haha. My boyfriend took me here for my birthday and unfortunately we don’t live close otherwise we would visit The Roundhill regularly given the chance! Their sticky toffee pudding is also amazing. It’s also super chilled but cosy, with nice staff too. You have GOT to go here! 😍

Me and my partner hunted high and low for good vegan food whilst we were staying for a midweek break in Worthing and this was recommended by a local cafe. It was in brighton a quint pub and a jewell find. Even though im not found of dogs in a pub or place to eat we did not judge a book by its cover! The friendly waitress was warm and helpful (I have an abundance of intolerances and partner has allergies) Everything coming out looked so amazing and delicious! We ordered Beyond burger each, ceasar salad to share, sweet potatoe and potatoe fries and it was absolutely sublime. It was the first time I was quiet eating even afterwards.... The food was excellent, tasty and outstanding. The ceasar salad was so tasty and presented divinely that we ordered another to take away to have for lunch the next day. The portions were generous and the price fair. I would of paid more... The flavours was bursting in our mouths with glee and forfillment... This was the best vegan food we have ever had and there was so much variety. The experience is one we would not forget and we can not wait to go back there! Had a wonderful lunch here with my friend Saskia. It was absolutely delicious. The flavours were imaginative, glorious and robust, with some subtle spices here and there also and very substantial. The service was friendly but not obtrusive. All in all a very enjoyable lunch.

Getting a table for a Sunday roast at the Roundhill can sometimes be tricky, but it's absolutely worth it. You get a choice of a few fantastic mains and sides, service is quick and staff are friendly, and the lovely decor in the Roundhill makes it feel very homely and welcoming.

Wonderful beers on tap, delicious homemade plant based food, had two the chicken burgers to share and they were both magnificent, delicious, crispy, home made seitan with delightfully tasty sauces, spicy, tangy and sweet with perfectly seasoned crispy, fries. A beautiful rich chocolate and raspberry torte for dessert with a scrumptious rum cocktail to wash it all down with. Wonderful friendly staff and great social distancing measures without disrupting the wonderful pub environment! Will 100% be coming back again!

Fantastic food, lovely staff and a great atmosphere. The Sunday roast is great and they're happy to cater for large groups. Toilets are nice and clean, it's warm and food arrives quickly. The only improvements I could suggest would be if they could be more generous with the condiments, get rid of some of the seats at the bar so it's easier to get to and put some cushions on the wooden chairs.

This pub goes beyond all expectations, it genuinely left me smiling. The food is absolutely insane, every bite was more delicious than the last. I have been vegan for six years, and vegetarian my whole life and I've never tasted anything like the burger or the cauliflower wings. The selection of beers was great and its so refreshing to have lots of local breweries to choose from, knowing that you are supporting local business rather than massive coroporations. It is so nice to sit down somewhere completely relaxed and know that everything you eat and drink is vegan without having to ask, and there was seemingly no plastic waste either. The decor is really creative and all of the staff were really friendly and giving good energy. As a student in Brighton I would say that on a regular basis it would be out of budget but as a place to go with my parents or for a special occasion it couldn't be beaten by anywhere else I've found in Brighton in three years.. for an evening of food and drinks. Definitely a new favourite spot, big love for this place and what they are doing.

We booked ahead as advised by other reviews, which was a good move as it was pretty busy for a Thursday evening. As with the comments below, there was only a few draft options. Overall however the staff were very warm and welcoming, the atmosphere was cosy and relaxed, but most of all the food was outstanding (speaking as an occasional carnivore). Update on last review - after a few more visits, much more draft options now available and the food continues to be a winner. 5 stars all round!

Fantastic Sunday lunch we had here, great flavour and the dessert was equally good. Will be coming back for sure! I love the decoration of the pub too, it was lovely sit by the window and have lunch with the world go by. It’s in a nice quiet area too.

I dont know if it was because I was a bit tipsy or what... but the burger I had here was so beautiful in flavour and appearance it made me feel nostalgic about my first ever meat burger. Furthermore, the staff were good handsome men with kind demeanor. I'm not vegan so it may have been the reason (because all the wine is vegan), but I got some wine that smelled iffy and tasted soso. Anyway, I took it to the bar and they offered me a different one without charge which was much more palatable. They also mentioned that a new wine menu will be coming soon; I am excited to try it. The folk band was soooo nice, it was 1400s realness ♡

Great food, all vegan&vegetarian, no meat of any kind. I tried the beetroot falafel burger and it was really good! Doesn't come cheap, but the place is cosy and warm, and the food really fresh. They have 3/4 beers on taps and they even did Campari Spritz! Unfortunately it was way too expensive, £7.50 for an aperitif really easy to do and which costs 5euro in Italy was just too much :) Will be definitely back!

The new owners of this pub have done an incredible job with this pub since taking it over. Not content with serving great local beers, the best vegan burger in Brighton and a Sunday lunch that consistently packs out the pub, they also serve a varied lineup of evening entertainment and community events. They are doing absolutely everything right, in a time where some pubs are struggling it’s great to see a real success story. Easily my favourite pub in Brighton (by a mile) and an invaluable community hub for the Roundhill area.

I arrived to meet a friend yesterday at around 7.00pm. The pub was busy, with nowhere to sit. I was carrying a drink and my coat, and would have felt much more comfortable if the waiting staff had helped, rather than cursorily telling me where I couldn't sit. Sure, I could book a table next time, but I'm not sure if I'll bother.
