My husband and I hired out the back room of bar humbug for a party and it was such a great experience. The bar staff were so friendly, there was a really lovely atmosphere and we all had a really fun time. The venue is decorated so beautifully as well! Thank you Bar humbug!

Had such a fun evening for my 30th birthday here. We hired the back bar area and it worked brilliantly for us. The staff were incredibly friendly, hard working and nothing was too much trouble. The cocktails here are lovely and the music was fantastic. Highly recommend.

Would highly recommend hiring the back space for a celebration. I had my birthday party here and had a great time: staff were friendly, drinks were good and there was never too long of a line at the bar. We took advantage of pre ordering some Prosecco for guest arrival and it worked out really well, we also bought in our own food and the clean up fee was very reasonable. Very much worth the 2 year wait caused by covid!

Popped in on a Sunday afternoon as I was passing. Nice to sit outside in the sun. A very welcoming lady who was working hard keeping the place spotless and was pleasant to speak to. Lovely interior and far nicer than nearby 'Spoons' as far as customers go. A bit pricey is the only downside. Will return

hired the backroom for my 30th birthday. comfortably fit the 30-35 people I had in attendance and would have been sufficient for up to 50 people. booking was easy and staff were attentive to numbers and what I was looking for and I was able to scale up or down on numbers. On the evening the bar staff were great, doing the little things like changing the music for me etc which was really good of them. The bar itself has a really nice decor and vibe and the drinks are good and varied. absolutely zero complaints and will be certainly going back and looking at holding additional events there.

We booked a cocktail making masterclass with Bar Humbug for my sisters hen party and had the best time!! Rowan was brilliant, really funny and made the class flow really naturally as well as having lots of fun I have taken away some great cocktail making skills! I found the whole process from booking to be great, Jolene was super responsive and accommodating of any requests I even dropped off some decorations and party bags the day before which were all ready when the party arrived. Really nice bar! Very nice atmosphere with really friendly staff. Drinks are a bit expensive but is still a lovely place to go. A friend of mine hired it out once for her birthday and it was just lovely! Lovely location too, very convenient as next to a bus stop. Not great for parking if you drive though.

Lovely bar in Clifton, great team who were friendly and helpful. They accommodated all our needs and requirements for our engagement party. One of the bar ladies was particularly thoughtful when passing me fruity cocktails with berries in them, as I had a white dress on but no spillages which was great! These things certainly don't go unnoticed with me. Great selection of cocktails and drinks. At the start the team helped set up our snacks and nibbles which meant I could just relax. It was such a warm evening as well we were able to be outside right until closing, and remained there until midnight. There was another party booking out the back bar area but this was fine and didn't bother us and it felt like we had more space as was using the outside and inside. I have many fond memories of drinking here years ago, and it did not disappoint.

I haven't had this much fun in Bristol for years. It didn't feel like there was a lot of seating inside so it was lucky that the weather was fine for sitting outdoors and there were also heat lamps for when it got colder. The other patrons were really friendly and we were able to just sit and chat with people we met there. The decor was nice and I was happy to find that they also had a plentiful supply of Wray & Nephew. To top it off, the staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. Lucy's a real asset and made sure that we always had drinks in our hands.

I hosted my 22nd birthday party here and I could not recommend the venue and team enough!! They were extremely helpful, easy going, adaptable and on the night super on it. It's a beautiful venue and the outside terrace is also perfect in the summer. Highly recommend - thanks for everything :)

I went with some workmates for a wine and cheese tasting and it was fantastic!! Pablo gave us a masterclass about wine!! The origin of the different wines, the types of grapes, how to taste it... We hosted our 30th Birthday celebrations at Barhumbug in their backroom this weekend and it was perfect - start to finish! The staff were super laid back and let us put up decs wherever we wanted, they were also very helpful with the music and accommodated our request for personalised cocktails on the night - they even gave us a complimentary glass of champagne to celebrate! Communication was also great leading up to the event - would absolutely recommend this venue for a special occasion!

We booked a cocktail masterclass for a birthday party of 8 and kept it a surprise for the birthday girl. Safe to say we had the BEST time ever. We were well looked after, the drinks were flowing and the whole experience was 11/10 fun from start to finish. We literally haven't stopped talking about it since. A huge shout out to James and his team for taking care of us, not an easy feat considering how drunk we all were (we had just come from a bottomless brunch), but he was kind and patient (and hilarious) and the whole gang made sure Becky had the best birthday. Would 100% recommend for a cocktail masterclass or just a night out. We'll hopefully be back very soon! X

OK bar. I’d recommend going round the corner for cocktails. The lemon juice-containing cocktail I ordered tasted like bottled lemon juice - it had that unmistakeable detergent-like bitterness to it.

Quite dark inside, more a late night venue. Nice cocktails and great service. Atmosphere can be quite hectic on the weekend, but if you're into cocktails and loud music this will be your thing! In the sunshine the outside seating is great for a beer (or three)
