Old boats, book a ride and enjoy the cruise as a group. Its fun and worth the experience. It is also affordable.

Nice pub, good beer selection, nice friendly atmosphere and decor level is high end.

First visit on Sunday afternoon after the reopening. What a transformation! Moving the bar round has totally opened up the room. It was nice to meet some of the owners and have a chat. The bar manager is friendly, approachable and …

The refit is of a good standard, and nice to see the retention and reorientation of the original bar. However, the Music is too loud and detracts conversation. Whilst a good range of Cider is available from traditional style Cheddar valley through the more popular haze and gold from Thatchers to the old favourite Natch from Taunton Cider(now St Austell brewery). However the let down was the quality of the draft beer, Bath Ales Gem was poor quality and not well kept even with a new barrel presented.

Excellent transformation, a great local pub with community spirit

Good to see The Boat busy. Live music and decent beer. Toilets could do with a deep clean but all in all a decent pub for locals

This pub has been transformed. It's now a pleasure to have a few drinks with friends in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Great work by all involved in reshaping this much loved local 👍

Ignore all the previous comments on here about dirty toilets and unhelpful staff, under new and local ownership the place is transformed, while retaining the character that made it what it was. Still loud and lairy as the night goes on, but you wouldn't want it any other way. With so many pubs going downhill fast, a pleasure to be in one that is on the up! CAMRA types should note they have a revolving choice of ales (Gem and Twisted Oak at present) in a place not previously known for that kind of offer, so get in there and encourage them to keep that going.

Had a wonderful night in, newly refurbished The Lideboat on Saturday night. The place looks great, a real passion project for 9 local lads who have pumped heart and soul into this local landmark. The shirehampton community clearly appreciated it. A great atmosphere, cracking beers and wonderful staff. Long may this place thrive. It is set to become a mainstay of the Shire cultural fabric.
