We had bottomless brunch. Food was lovely but service wasn't great. Had to keep going to find staff to order drinks. It was really quiet in there as well and plenty of them standing around.

Me and my boyfriend came for Bottomless Brunch and received a wonderful service. All the staff were incredibly hospitable with excellent service, however Charmaine was our main server with an amazing personality and a warm, friendly attitude which made us feel incredibly comfortable. Had a great evening at Slug and Lettuce last night, wasn’t sure what to get to drink so when I got served by Lewis and he asked me what I liked in a drink, he was able to sort me out with something to my taste. Staff really friendly and entertaining to watch them working together, highlight of the experience was watching Lewis trap his fingers in the fridge door.

NEWLY DECORATED. Everything is fresh and new from a recent redesigned. There is a new menu for food and drinks. I have been to Bristol Slug so many times over the years and this is the best look I have seen yet. I am looking forward to the summer garden parties and new cocktails.

We went for the brunch and bottomless bubbles special. £28/person gets you a meal and unlimited rounds of Prosecco, mimosas, aperol spritzes, bloody maries, Amstel, and soft drinks. The food was very tasty, and the service was quick. The drinks were really good, too.

Wow what a place! Came in over the bank holiday and it was just amazing. The DJ was outside all day, the cocktails were flowing, everything was just so perfect, really felt like summer. We had Jonny and immy serving us today, they make a great team. With Jonny taking our orders and immy bringing everything to us and taking it away. Always having time for a light hearted chat in between. I can’t talk more highly about a place, it was just everything you want when the suns shining, everyone was happy, everyone was in a good mood, it was just so great! Oh and the cocktails were also all 2 for 1!! Which just made that day so much better! Thankyou to the slug and lettuce team for giving us a summers day we won’t ever forget.

Went on Friday for the bottomless brunch. I had low expectations and assumed it would be difficult to get our drinks topped up. This wasn't the case at all. The best thing about this bar is the gardens bean bags. Food and cocktails are good but typical slug and lettuce so nothing Amazing. The toilets are kept in good condition and I can't say I dislike it there. Its a good place to drink.

We had this booked 4 months in advance to end up not being served for 20 minutes- then not receiving drinks for an hour. A group of 5 of us came in on Wednesday night. We had a really pretty table under the flowers. Beth served us all night she was really attentive and made us all feel really comfortable and welcome. Came in here with some friends for late lunch (and a couple of cocktails) as we were passing through to go London, I must admit i felt very safe, was very nice to see a team working so well together to make sure that all there customers are not only safe but happy too, we were speaking to a lovely lady, I think her name was Georgia? Couldn't have asked for better service, even if we couldn't see her smile through the mask 😂 we will definitely be getting a coach to Bristol for the weekend to come back here... Absolutely amazing, thank you for all your hard work guys!

Can’t fault this place. Fab cocktails in all shapes and size, decent food thats caters for veggies, vegans and gluten free. The staff are all lush, friendly faces (even behind the masks). Nice little bar with nice outside sitting area and a great selection of different wines, beers, soft drinks and cocktails. Good prices too. The pub makes a good impression and is clean and well set out. The staff are friendly, there is plenty of room for sitting or standing and possibly even to do a bit of dancing. The outside sitting area is very nice and comfortable off the street giving you enough freedom and space.

Came in for some cocktails and food today. The blonde lady (didn’t get her name) who greeted us was very warm and informative, gave us some menus and seated us to a table outside. The other three ladies behind the bar were friendly and bubbly and the service was quick. Loved the garnish on the Gordon’s pink spritz, one of the brunette ladies informed me she gave me an extra strawberry! Thankyou Slug and Lettuce see you soon!

We were seated our drinks were brought to us speedily , an our food also arrived with in no time at , I’d like to thank the lady an her team . it's your basic slug and lettuce if you want a drink and a shot this is the place to go, it's a little more expensive than those around it but it has a large outside area for the smokers and a long enough bar that you won't have to wait too long to be served.. music is of acquired taste and is what the youth like so I'll leave that to your own interpretation. staff are nice and friendly and the only down side are some of the door staff are very intimidating and not by physical presence they're just not very nice people one of them slammed a load of doors going past us and that really ruined the atmosphere. would be ok if he was going somewhere but he was just going to go and smoke no need for that attitude.. but apart from that it's all fine.

Went on Thursday and the drinks were good and at nice prices. The music wasn't to my taste and it was ridiculously loud!! I've never been to a gig or club with such loud music, let alone a bar/restaurant.

I've done cocktail masterclass here a few times now and have really enjoyed each one. Organised the sparkling cocktail masterclass for my sister in laws 30th Birthday and it was great. The staff set up a table in the VIP area and decorated with balloons I dropped off. Reece was our host for the night and he was lovely. Buffet that comes with the masterclass is pretty yummy and there's the option to upgrade if you fancy something else.

It seems The Slug and Lettuce is reading the reviews and attempting to remedy their reputation, but they might be trying a bit too hard. I went to The Slug and Lettuce with a large party and we had called ahead for reservations. When we got there they had forgotten to set a table aside for us so we had to wait 3 minutes while a server prepped the area. NO BIG DEAL, really. The rest of the night we never heard the end of it! It was nice that they were so apologetic, but it got to the point of being overbearing. One apology would have sufficed, not ten. Okay, lets get into the review now: Food 5/5: The food was honestly really good; I wasn't expecting too much but was pleasantly surprised. I ordered an Indian vegetarian dish that was very flavorful. It also came with a tasty side salad. Service 3/5: As previously mentioned, our server was overly- and profusely sorry about forgetting to set up our table. It got to be a nuisance almost. Our server was also borderline annoying about asking us if we wanted anything else with our meal (drinks, dessert, etc...). However, he was very friendly, so I can't fault him too much. He also brought me dressing for my salad when I asked which was nice! Pricing: 3/5: The food was overpriced for what it was. Drinks were outrageously expensive. They rely on every-day 2-for-one cocktails to make their drinks affordable. Why not just cut the price in half? Overall it's your average run-of-the mill restaurant that will be forgotten. It's not bad by any means, but there are more memorable options out there.

Great experience with good food n service. If you think of SnL as a more grown-up version of Spooner's, then you won't be far of the mark. Plenty of daily deals on drinks, meal deals during the day. It's a few £££ dearer than Spoon's, but the quality is there to match it. On a nice day, early evening, the outside space is really pleasant.
