Ever tried an open Mic event? Why not bring your art to this very quirky pub? Lovely environment! Definitely a return! Tons of events throughout the week!

Long established Bristol pub/restaurant/venue in Clifton which used to be called 'the Greyhound'. Still rather dark inside but much more welcoming now with good beer on tap and service with a smile. Daily live entertainment here now too, which I have yet to explore but certainly will. Looks like an up and coming entertainment venue.

Good friendly staff made an order for drinks and every reorder the young lady behind the bar knew exactly what our order was. Amazing especially as it was very busy and we were a group of 8. Very popular place.

Nice little bar in Bristol's Clifton region. Take a hike to see the beautiful Gibson's suspension bridge and enjoy a few evening drinks in this intimate bar. Friendly staff and tasty pints.

Great place, great atmosphere, not a bad stop for a pub crawl, although the crawl did come to a halt once our group got there. The seating area at the back seems like it would be good for small live performances, but also decent amount of room for our group (15+ people). Overall, for a Friday night it was a great place to catch up with the group

A fascinating old pub with a lot of cool things inside, not too expensive, they do 2 for 1 cocktails and have lots of live music. Staff are friendly and helpful. Highly recommended

Found this place by chance whilst wandering around Clifton village. It's a wonderful eclectic space with great staff. It's a proper pub, so just an excellent range of drinks, no food. We popped in twice over the weekend it was that good. The 2nd time there was excellent live music. The place is larger than it seems from the front & at the back it feels like a cosy old world club room. Totally recommend the place.

Sorry had to knock of a point for having a live band at the front of the bar, it would have been better if it was at the back allowing easier movemnet around the bar, apart from that live band was very popular, staff were friendly served nice and quickly

I was invited to see live music at this venue, a cozy pub in Clifton village. There were many artifacts as well as great beer. The live music was in a room at the back which made the music venue very intimate.

The place had a horrid smell of vomit the day we went in...The bar staff seemed rube when I asked for a bag of crisps... I didn't ask for your left kidney lady....just a bag of crisps to go with my beer. :)

Came in on a Saturday night, cool dude with a keyboard singing classics in the corner. Interesting musical decor that’s fun to look at. It was busy but not crazy, bartenders were nice and cleared tables quickly. Will definitely come again on a weekday.

Lovely pub if you're looking for something a bit on the dive-y side. It's also got a great, mostly relaxed atmosphere. There are live events pretty much every night and most of them are free. Lots of times it's jazz, and the musicians are really passionate so donating when the hats start coming around is a really nice thing to do if you can spare it. If you're not looking for a night of drinks and live jazz though (side note: we can't be friends) the events are held in the back and separated by a door. I can't speak for all the drinks because they have old Rosie so I get that every time. Amazing cider if you haven't tried it, a little over seven per cent, and they keep it warm which is how I like it! In all, a great pub with a fun, laid back atmosphere, and there's a seafood shop about a minute's walk away that's open pretty late if you're stumbling out and fancy a some deep fried goodness before you trot home.

Called in here for a drink because we knew there was a folk band playing. Go early enough and you get 2 for 1 cocktails and I chose a delicious gin cocktail (sorry, forgotten which one). Its a very cosy setting so be prepared to huddle together or stand! There was space in a back room but out of ear shot of the music - good or bad depending on your preferance. 😊 A nice way to pass an hour or two.

Really nice pub! Atmosphere was perfect early on Saturday evening, very cosy with decent rock music playing yet we were able to converse thanks to the plush furnishings (unlike the bar we walked out of 5 minutes earlier with all hard surfaces and everyone shouting). They had live music later in the evening (which we missed because we were busy eating too much Chinese food nearby) so it's also a lively pub at the right time. Very friendly place, we will try to come again when visiting Bristol.

This is a well-thought out small venue, with a theatre-like room at the rear. I saw Tango Calor performing in the main bar (Thursday 16/01/20). I imagine that the paid-for admissions are worth seeing.

Cosy Clifton village pub, lined with dark red wood and soft lighting, but a bit different as it usually has a small live acoustic band or a comedy gig in the room at the back. Post Covid there's still good non-mainstream music playing (Fleetwood Mac, Mark Ronson, etc) and the ambience is still lovely and slightly.offbeat. Perfect. Ask for a Baby Guiness for afters.

The essence of an arty, bohemian hang-out; retro decor, and packed with creativity, music, theatre and poetry. Great drinks and cool staff. Love this place - it really plays an important part of the creative scene in Bristol, with a truly cosmopolitan feel. Better, and cooler than any of the many contrived hipster bars that are popping up around town...

We were in Clifton for a meal and we're looking for a pub, for a few pre food drinks and for d this pub. It didn't look much when we first walked in, a little dark but we were pleasantly surprised.
