Really surprised by this rare gem. No only have they got top notch old school pub food. New favourite place. But to top it off mega dog friendly. Welcomed our boy who was a bit over excited to be let anywhere near a pub. And he's a big boy.

Quality local, really nice and welcoming bar staff. Locals are friendly, Drinks are good and have a vast choice. food menu is large and the portions are big and the starters and sides are good pub grub, the specials are good value. Both drinks and food are good value. Interior decor has a traditional old pub style, car park is big. Has an outside seating area, toilets are clean and usable. Is wheelchair accessible. Definitely recommend this place.

My first opinion was a lot less than 3 stars. A flat pint of amstel, stupid stickers all over the bathroom mirror to tell me to wash my hands (thanks cause I'm only a child) and a broke tap didn't start things well. But... The girl behind the bar was lovely, the locals seem friendly, my 8 year old daughter loved the textured wall paper. And the game changer for me was a birra moretti poured in a glass fresh out the fridge.

I went for a group meal so we had all ordered beforehand. The service was quick. The food was very reasonably priced and good value for money. I would say it is a good standard for bar meals not cordon bleu. I was very surprised when they said that they had run out of lime juice for the drink l ordered, but l suppose with the unusually long run of hot weather l will have to let them off that one !

Friendly staff, nice food. This pub has a play park bit in the beer garden for kids that is in lovely condition compared to many other local pubs and plenty of tables and shade outside which was great. We had breakfasts there this time and their doorstop toast is lush.

First time visiting this quirky pub and had the nicest meal there, the duck salad was to die for! Lots for kids to do and dog friendly at the bar and in the large garden..thank you for accommodating our very barky Romanian rescue!

15th Sept 2014 Since we have the same surname we actually went out of our way to visit this pub. We found it very nice, tidy and friendly. The food was very good and quickly served. Our only minor disappointment was that there was no Banks's beer on offer that day, just Marston's Pedigree.
