Really good pub. Plenty of spaces for group gathering without disturbing others. I had tandoori chicken, salad and drink. Delicious food and friendly staff tempting me to visit again.

Visited on a Saturday Evening about 9.30pm and the pub was very very quiet. Really large venue with music so we were happy enough and had a whole section to ourselves. Previously we have visited and there have been parties so the atmosphere has been much better. Good place though, staff are friendly so would definitely visit again

Best Sunday Roast we have ever had. We tried the beef and the pork ones. Great selection of beers, good atmosphere. Will definitely come back to try the other roasts and will certainly try the rest of foods and beers of the menu.

The staff are so welcoming and accommodating, the food is consistently good (the dirty fries and Sunday roasts in particular) the managers Charlie and Marion are very helpful with all queries and to top it off theyre dog friendly! They always have a bowl of water and some treats ready for our Bassett Hound whenever we pop by Highly recommend the monthly samba nights too!

Absolutely love this pub, it's one of my local favourites. We went yesterday for food but they had ran out of what we'd ordered, but they gave us a couple of bottle of wines and took our replacement meals off the bill as a way of apology. The person who told us was so sincere. Absolutely outstanding customer service. I'll definitely be coming again. ♥️

Deceptively spacious inside, full of antique furniture and comes with a rooftop bar for all this nice weather. Great venue for a private party and the buffet food is top class too. Was well looked after by the staff during the evening

The best pub on Whiteladies. Lots of seating, friendly mixed crowd, well staffed and some nice Wickwar ales (Bob and Falling Star) and interesting lagers and pale ales. Try the pretzel bread burger buns.

Very friendly, good prompt service, dog friendly, very nice menus including vegetarian options,. Lots of rooms on several floors furnished in homely vintage style. Very nice atmosphere. Definitely would visit agaiin for a drink or a meal. Table reservation was very straight forward.

First time going here since its been taken over. The place is full of televisions! Everywhere you turn is a TV showing sport. The music was so loud too that everyone has to shout but this was turned down after we asked. We had gone in there for a quiet meal! The food is not a patch on the previous owners food. Burgers were small and dry and children's fish and chips were weird to the point my daughter wouldn't eat it, they were coated in a very thick breadcrumb coating with something g inside but not sure it was fish! No sweet chilli mayo and no Redleg rum.... don't think we'll be heading back there in a hurry! We used to live this place 😪

Sat in the garden out back. Beautiful space, and the drinks were good. Service was a bit off, though. Took a while to get our drinks and food. When the food did come out, the plates were incredibly hot and food tasted like it had been sitting in the window for awhile. Would still go back for drinks and the atmosphere, but unimpressed with the food service.

Great place for large groups - booked recently for a party of 25 or so (with kids). We had to order food ahead of time, but on the day everything was very smooth, all the food came out together and was tasty! The building and decor is great too, lots of staircases and balconies, and loads of tables

Nice pub with interesting different levels. Needs cleaning up in certain areas (ie toilets). Visited last night. Very busy but adhering to guidelines. Appeared to be a student gathering on the terrace. A wait on drinks. However, Staff were very well organised and working very hard, very polite and friendly. Rugby on so told could only sit downstairs? (Although there were empty seats upstairs). No heating downstairs so very cold (radiator cold). This pub has alot to offer but needs a bit of tlc, it had a nicer feel a few years ago and needs to rekindle some of its charm. It could be a warm and vibrant place again. Dog friendly. Child friendly (at the right time of day). No nice outdoor terrace to smoke and a decent selection of drinks. Not a freehouse and not a classic British pub. However is clean and friendly.

Great food and atmosphere, it can feel busy cosy and open up to a great party space. The really nice part about the restaurant is that everything is homemade on site, nothing is bought in. And a large amount of meat and produce comes from the owner Alison's family farm just 20 minutes away. It's a real gem. I always have a fantastic time.

Very nice pub, was tempted to deduct 1star for the slow service I experienced but it was busy and the online ordering system didn't help matters. Inadvertently ordered beers for another pub but they gave me a full refund.

More like the Crufts Arms. We went there for a evening meal and there were 3 dogs in there. We were in the dining area where the 6 seat table next to us had about 10 students crowded around it and a dog that the owner thought was ok to let it wander under our table whilst eating. We like dogs but aren't happy to have one watching you eat. We thought it would be ok if dogs were kept to bar area, maybe. Also, it seems to be ok to smoke e cigarettes on there, so there was a mist in the air. Again, not nice when your eating. Menu is mostly burgers and they are really nice. Most are nearly £10. Although you have to pay £1 extra if you want chips rather than fries.

This is the first place I walked in in Bristol, friendly staff but we were slightly confused because lots of areas were booked. We've ordered food and omg it was yummy, i would defo suggest the steak salad if you are visiting there.

This site has been many things over the last decade but this is now one of the best Locals around the Blackboy Hill area of Bristol, If you like you're after work drinks in a great period decor pub then this is the place for you. Highlights are the 241 burgers available Tuesday - Friday before 7pm El Diablo is a must with the monumental Cod Fish & home made Jenga Chips for a great Fish Supper. Find out for yourself !
